hey everyone-- sorry about the downtime today, but the network was having some issues which weren't being solved by simple measures so now there's a brand new database server online and all should be solid from here on out :}

Hey Joe,

I love you music. It is as Meatloaf once said, "has the voice of a horny angel"...I do play guitar, and I was wondering if you post your guitar tabs on your site. Cuz i cant find any good sites with the tabs. I did manage to learn Crushing day, which i must say, is heavenly. Perfect song to jam with anyone. But anywho, I can't wait to buy your new album and hopefully see ya in Vancouver, B.C.

Rock On, Luke

I hate IT technicians they can kiss my big fat ass!...2 Days ago the e-mail server went down and it still isnt' back online and we have been sent e-mails (apparently) telling us when to collect our assignments from last semester from and at what time...this is the ONLY chance we get to get them back and read the comments the lecturers have made on them.

They need to get off their asses and do their fucking job!...wankers!

In other news, I got the highest grade in my class for the 3D assignment from last semester as I was told yesterday by my lecturer....awesome.

Guitarmiester: No sir, the Space Ship One dvd was recorded live @ Cello Studios in Hollywood.... Just Paul, Linus, Marco and the camera/recording crew on hand, but it is played live and there is a great Pablo intro prior to each song (done in a personal 1on1 way).... He'll announce: In the key of Am, and then play a terrifying solo (in each song key) before each live clip, lol!....

And hey..Fire Garden Suite is a brilliant piece of music!!.... Dr. \//\I has some mad acoustic skills too, lol!....

Btw, Guitar 9 records is the place to get Pablo goods.... Space Ship One dvd for $19!!.... And if you punch his name (or any other guitarist) into the search, you'll come up with most of his/their catalog!! :-)

Thanks for sharing your CRUE experience michelle, were happy for you guys! :-)

Satriella: lol girl, thanks for the Rock God plug, lol, I think I better stick to drawing, hehe!!.... Man, music makes my life!!..After of course the family!! :-)

Thanks Jon Webmaestro, love the album flow so far!!.... JOE is sounding more contemporary in his compositions it seems :-) And btw, thanks for the new server, I couldnt get in here for two days, lol!!....

....Later peeps....

zinc, i would have been upset if there would have been anyone around us smoking dope. For parents to do it in front of their kids, or anyone elses, is just irresponsible behavior. I didn't see anybody smoking, but we were close to security so maybe that was the reason? Oh, now that I think about it - on the way in we all got patted down and scanned by a hand scanner. A guy in line in front of us was so wasted that security said "Let me see your ticket", and when the dude handed it to him, the security guy says "Okay now, go home and sober up, yer not getting into the show tonight." The look on the dude's face was priceless. He begged security to let him in, but went away quietly. Don't know if he came back, but I sure hope he didn't get in his car and drive. A few guys in line were laughing at him and making rude remarks, and security told them that if they didn't knock it off, they'd be right behind him. lmao!!! I was kinda glad my daughter was there to see that. I know she'll tell her friends, and maybe they'll have second thoughts about showing up somewhere in that condition. My daughter don't drink or smoke, but unfortunately some of her friends do.

Michelle...what was the purpose of the hand scanner? I know its not for fingerprints. Maybe now all post-Dimebag rock concerts are going to require a scanner to check for gunpowder residue.

Anyways...Your story reminded me of the Ramone's movie "Rock n Roll High School"...remember that one from the early 80's? There was that part of the movie where everyone is going into the concert venue and one guy gets stopped by security. They lift up his sunglasses and the guy says "You're stoned, you don't get in"...lol !

ovation1 Thanks for that link! HUGE help! Thank you! How is his playing on that DVD? Is it more of his lighter material or Racer X kind of stuff? I bought the Spaceship One CD a while ago, didn't like it at, there were only 2, maybe3 songs on it I liked. But, it'll probably be worth getting. I've got a lot on my list (this is just DVD's) (1)Racer X - Snowball of Doom (2)Paul Gilbert - Spaceship One (and maybe Eleven Thousand Notes) (3)Hammer of the Gods (hoping they will be selling it on tour!) (4)Opeth - Lamentations. Not even going to list my CD list, it's very long! Back to Paul...taking BRO slowly, the speed he played it at is unbelievable, I'm making sure I have it as clean as I can get it (and try to be up to speed.) I've got down everything up to (and a little further) past where the counterpoint melody comes in. I'll work on the rest of Scarified once I finish BRO. About Vai's acoustic playing...it is so good, I figured out a couple of his songs the other day - Ballerina 12/24 (and yes, with all the harmonies too! I have a harmonizer in my Korg/ToneWorks AX3000G and I also have the whammy that I can set to up a 6th, such a crazy song!) Melissa's Garden, Sisters, The Audience is Listening, and 2 others. Also, working on Satch - Midnight and Malmsteen - Black Star. Yea, I've got A LOT ofwork cut out for me for the next few weeks.

Good Morning Satchland......How has everyone been? I hope all is well. Many pages behind. I tried to log on yesterday, but couldn't and I figuired the server was down and Jon confirmed that. So what's up?

Thank you all for your comments on Sean's art work. I didn't expect that at all. I love your work Satriella. It's very good. Sean didn't have any schooling in drawing untill college. Most of what you see on his site was pre college. As a senior he was hand picked by the Florence Academy of Art to study life drawing in Florence. They only pick 28 students from around the world and Sean had the honor of being one of them. Sean spent his first 3 months of his senior year in Florence,Italy. What a wonderful experience for him. Thanks again I'll let him know how you all feel. You guys are great.

Satriella.....I hope you've able to work things out. How are you?

Mari.... Thanks for the email. Yes, you too have been a great friend and a inspiration to continue my quest in music. Thanks sweetie. Hugs. BTW...I'm happy Rockzilla is serving you well and got you through the resent snow storm. 20" of snow. NO THANKS ! ! !...lol.... Hugs again.

gottahavejoe..... How are you? Are you still on the mend? Always hugs.

Hrh fish..... Thanks for the site plug and for signing our guest book. I'm glad you like our site. That's Sean's design. Sean is a web designer by trade. Unfortunetly he's not drawing as much like he should. The old story. MONEY TALKS. He's so driven to be successful it's really quite inspiring. My other son Aaron is thinking of starting a Networking Consulting CO. Aaron has a degree in computer networking from Devry. Aaron's a brain with computers. If you guys have any problems with your computer, send me an email and I'm sure Aaron can figuire it out.

Band update: 2 weeks from this Sat. our first gig with the new line up. I'm pschyed. I can't wait. It's going to be a lot of fun. We expect about 100 people. We're going to ROCK. Speaking of......

From Vai's news letter there's a link to CBS. Steve's is talking about many things here and I'd thought I'd post the link. My connection speed at work sucks so the videos load real slow. It's great to see and hear Steve. Check it out.

http://www.cbs.com/specials/48grammys/featured2.shtml

Hi Joe..... Can't wait to see you in Chicago. Please consider sighning our Surfing With The Alien Mural. (see photo section) I know what the time constraints on tour must be like and what a imposition it would be. We'd be so honored.. Please let us know. Jon has our info. Thanks. Take care.

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! !

ovation1 You'll appreciate this... Here are the next two guitars I'm looking at: (1)Ibanez PGM-30 Paul Gilbert. The only thing, it's has the TRS II locking tremolo, I didn't really want another guitar with a floyd rose-type tremolo, but it's not big deal, such an amazing guitar. I have no problem with floyd-type trems. other than once you snap one string, they all go out. You probably know what that guitar looks like. Here's the 2nd I'm definitly buying (soon): (2)Ovation CK047 FKOA. I really like Ovation guitars, this one is even nicer being made of Koa! I'm definitly getting the Ovation (soon), once I come up with extra money the PGM-30 is mine!
