Webmaster Jon, again, thanks for the latest podcast....was it always this exciting around here when a new album was to be released? This is so fantabulous to have a new goodie every few days like this, and really well done besides ....thanks for it all, and THANKS for the heads up that there will be more tour dates...I've got my fingers crossed for Portland/Reno/SanFran, any or all of them will be just grand!! :)
Joe, really beautiful sounding new track, you are truly just amazing...more talent in yer lil finger than I have in my whole everything...lol...thanks for it all, and for the cool way you're keeping us entertained and excited while we wait impatiently for the new release... we've missed seeing you on tour, but now that the wait is over, it actually kinda went quicker than I thought it would!! Hope you're as ready and anxious to get out there on tour as we all are to see you!! Love ya Joe! :)

Holy smokes !! Is that monster suspended on a web too? I bet that thing could take a chunk out of someones ass !
I was watching a movie the other day (I think it was "The Day After Tomorrow") and these three guys were stuck in a research facility somewhere in the arctic, and things were'nt looking good for them. Well one pulled out a half-bottle of scotch, filled three shot glasses, and he made a toast to his wife. The second guy made a toast to his children. And the third guy, who was from England, made a toast to Manchester United...LMAO....you guys kill me...lol ! Peace, SD

civgeek-
I picked a helluva place to bash Ibanez guitars--my mistake.
I really wasn't meaning to bash... the S I didn't like was a S470DVF (the horrible violet color) with the H-S-H pickup config. The neck and bridge pickups were just so dull. They were OK for heavy crunching but leads sounded muddy and murky. I guess it just rubbed me the wrong way. The Floyd Rose look-alike on it was nice and it had pretty inlays on the rosewood. Maybe it was messed up somehow as I got it on a close-out for about 40% off. It went back but I still want to try some others, I've never played a RG or a JEM.

Is this your guitar? Love the flamed M top.

Hey Joe, please can I cover "House Full Of Bullets" in a concert? ...........I know, people cover your stuff a lot, but I have to ask this because there's a high probability it's being filmed (if I can arrange everything in time!).
Thanks. oh, when are you coming back to London? laters, Simon
ahhh - wow three years ago...has it really been that long...oh well...I got a wayz to go then!...hey wait a minute....was it filmed? Did you arrange it in time....ooooo I'm on the edge of my seat....hehehe
oh, oh I nearly forgot...RE: Some of them were meant to be good too, haha!
And what do you know all of them turned out to be FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!

Tulsa - Yea the stock PUs were crap. I'm still getting used to the trem. It is the Zero return so it feel funny compared to my RG. But guitars are like women each is different, each is special, but we all have our own tastes and limits on what we'll deal with.

Long haired hippy....rocker girl...ah anyone here used to go to the Caroline Radio Roadshows?...great stuff...always ended with Lynyard Skynard Freebird...the anthem!....Anyway little bit of new age...then punk dudess....then hmmm very individually me...now I just change day to day...blonde, brunette..red head...conservative...way out...OK OK i am just waffling now...but hey I haven't been here in a while so I am sure you can all forgive me...pwetty pwease!

Trouble is I tend to speak first and think later....another bad trait I am working on...gets you in so much trouble doing that....no...really it does...boy I should have learned that lesson by now!!!! You guys (and girls) know me by now...good job you are all so lovely...and I mean that...

I've been searching for so long,
For someone to lead the way.
And I've been searching for someone,
Someone to ease the pain.
And I've been searching for someone,
Anyone to help me cure my shame.
Madness caught another victim
And the victim's name is blame.
What are my options?
When the road I'm walking ends
What are my options?
When all my ambitions fails
The words you now are reading
Are meant for your eyes only.
I hoped for strength but now I'm leaving
Cause I fear my feelings.
And to not do you justice
Is too much for me to bare.
And as courage is my weakness
I choose the cowards path.
What are my options?
When the road that I'm walking ends?
And what are my options?
When the last ship of hope have sailed
What are my options?
When the road that I'm walking ends
So what are my options?
When my words are all that remains

Oh, c'mon! No Ohio dates at all? Not even an in-store while passing through? So sad. It's been like nine years since you've been to Cleveland! Ho-hum... "Another Girl, Another Planet" is still one of my favorite tunes. Vintage Satch! My daughter wants to meet you. At age six, she can identify guitarists by tone alone (Joe, Steve or Eddie). OK peeps.. I decided to give ya'll my one sentence breakdown on the new tracks... This is all that will be in the album review coz I'm a hopin to get an interview with joe to elaborate on this album and whatever he said on the Podcast's Hmm guess I better start watching those now..
The title track starts things off with a massive ear assault and some superb blues soloing from Joe. “Just Like Lightnin’” kicks in with a dry ZZ Top like snarl, wanders through some dreamy “Crush of Love” wah-wah terrain and then returns for some more blues ripping from Joe. “It’s So Good” washes over you like a cool summer breeze before once again charting a course that leads into some ultra modern blues based soloing. “Redshift Riders” is the full on rocker of this release. Starting off with a recurring eastern tinged theme the song quickly morphs into a crunchy insistent chord fest that will indeed be dangerous to drive along with. Joe throws all manner of cool riffing from his bag ‘o tricks over this one. “Ten Words” is a simple effective upbeat melody in Joe’s inimitable style featuring as usual, an exquisitely phrased solo passage. “A Cool New Way” definitely is just that, a dreamy atmospheric soundscape awash with memorable, emotional and lyrical playing. “One Robot’s Dream” kicks off with Phillip’s insistent beat and ultimately builds into a fusiony extravaganza with the most intense and searing soloing on the release as well as tone to die for. “The Meaning Of Love” is a gorgeously lyrical melody progression that is very reminiscent of the feel and vibe encapsulated in many of the tunes of the stellar instrumentalist Jean Luc Ponty. The soloing is a model of phrasing and restraint. “Made of Tears” features the snap drumming like groove of the Who’s “Eminence Front”. Dunno if Simon was part of that one, but here his rhythm leads Joe through some ever changing musical motifs and terrain. ”Theme for a Strange World” is another rocker with some really cool recurring bouncy synth like guitar riffs and featuring another intense scale driven solo passage. “Movin’ On” is another of those trademark mid-tempo Joe melody fests with once again, spot on phrasing and hummable lyrical guitar lines. “A Love Eternal” is a poignant melody featuring probably the most emotional soloing on this project. The “Crowd Chant” finishes things off with a fun and crunchy in your face ask and answer session between Joe’s snarling guitar and an assembled studio choir. I think it is a safe bet we will be hearing more of this one on the upcoming tour!

Punkdude75 means that I was born in 1975 and "punk" is a word that means a lot to me, because I started playing guitar when I was 12 years old, and the Ramones were my biggest influence at the time.

'Charmed' a Casualty of WB-UPN Change
NEW YORK - The spell is broken. The witches on "Charmed" won't be making the move when the WB network combines forces with UPN to become the CW network in the fall.
A WB spokesman confirmed a TV Guide report on Friday that said the supernatural series, which stars Alyssa Milano, Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs, will end after eight seasons in May.
With "7th Heaven" having already announced its exit, it means that two WB long-running series won't move to the CW. The WB and UPN will both shut down in September.
The final episode of "Charmed" will air on May 21, TV Guide said.
"It's been a hell of a run," Brad Kern, executive producer, told the magazine. "But all good things must come to an end."

Hey everyone, give me your oppinion on the abilities of the Ibanez "S" Series. I just got one a little while ago, and though it is nicely made the only flaw is that the bridge sits low and makes it near impossible to do upward wammy bar raises, other than that I'm impressed with the overall quality and sound, anyone else own one of these babys?
