After years of careful deliberation I have determined that the reason for everything we say, do , think , eat , wear , throw , climb , scratch , spit , hold , swallow , kick , repair , drink , fold , crush , drop , lick , count , burn and regurgitate is directly related to all the times we have laughed , ran , jumped , danced , indulged, cleaned , slept , ate , peeked , sneezed , trembled , cussed , drank , pressed , destroyed , painted , read , drooled , jetisoned , repositioned , injected , rejected , infected , detected , corrected , projected , elected , inspected , protected and closed the opening of our minds without any regard to the consquences of our impact on ourselves and others impact on themselves and society, ignoring what is obviously invisible to the naked standard of truth within the partial knowledge of infinite restricted freedoms that enslave those who do not agree to argue against concurring with an opinion passed down from simple imaginitive reality, independently relying on ourselves to help others remain unassisted in their efforts to be autonomously supervised as if the circumstances were anything other than what they could appear to be if we could enable mankind to stop approaching the motionless direction of the effects that a schedule can elude to if the cause can be stated in a manner that allows for the saying: "Today is Yesterday's Tomorrow."

Has anyone seen my car keys?

I'm just glad I can watch Joe play live for the first time... I'm from South America so it's difficult for us to have something like that over there, unless you live in Argentina, or Brazil, maybe... anyway, I just moved to the US and the timing is so perfect, with the new album and everything... and Eric Johnson is gonna be there too!!! already got my ticket... I wanted to get the planitum package, though, but it is still a little expensive for me, specially cuz' I'm a contemporary painter/guitar student who just got out of college and moved 10,000 miles away from home, but hey, I'll be happy to be there as another fan... By the way Joe (if you ever read this), you have quite some fans in Latin America let me tell ya... Your stuff is very hard to get over there but, at least in my country, every serious guitar fan is looking for someone to teach him how to play "Summer Song", if you know what I mean... actually, I first listened to your music in college (how lame is that?), my guitar teacher was trying to teach one of your songs to a fellow student... So even if your CDs are not really available at the local Tower Records and we don't get to see you on big billboards down the street, your stuff keeps getting exposed and you gain loyal fans every day... Anyway, just wanted to share that, sure it's no big news... Looking forward to the new album, and for the first time, the new tour...

The fireman - Ken & Wanda - So sorry to hear the news, I am definately thinking of you and sending good vibrations to you...goes without saying that my prayers are extra long...situations come along and they try us....Ken be there and be strong for Wanda whatever mood swing she is in, be especially tolerant at this time....medicine has come a long way though as has been said...a friend of mine has just gone through all of this, the surgery, the radio treatment, the kimo, the hair loss, the hospitals, the emotional stress...the whole shebang...but she is out the other side now and in the clear....but one thing about her is that she has remained positive throughout and I think that plays a VERY important role...so try to REMAIN positive both of you :-)

waterproof soap - er what? Or is it just me that doesn't understand?

tulsachops - "Do you have the time to listen to me whine" Basket Case...great...Oh yes Green Day....love em...they got lots of good lines...and lots of cheek...they crack me up sometimes...broken teeth for example..and for some reason ha,ha your dead and I'm so healthy...I mean Who says that! That has to be the bare-faced cheekiest song ever! I have a five CD player and 3 of them are green day, (I Sum41 and 1 dreamtheatre at the moment)...bin listening to them for a couple of days...just in the mood for fast music and singing at the top of my voice...don't know why....it is a good release from stress sometimes I think....takes your mind off
"Running away from pain when you've been victimized..tales from another broken home"...quite a poignent line I think...but maybe thats just me...I prefer to run away from pain...it's a horrible thing when your in pain.

js1200js1000 - you sure are saying a lot for someone who who aint got time to talk...hehehehehehehe...good to see you back so much honey...I had bin missing these:- !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmmmm 5.34am anyone in the chat...I am gonna go find out

Hello! I have not believed the eyes when to me the letter with the password has come. Really I talk with well-known Joe Satriani? At me heart knocks for such pleasure. I today shall be êðàòîê. Very much it would be desirable, that you have read this small message. I your admirer. I certainly not so well speak on àãëèéñêè. I hope electronic translators to me will help. I any more do not know what to write. Forgive for the silly letter..... Such opportunity on road does not roll.

I still shall write

Satch! I cant wait for the new album! It comes out the day after my birthday! What a Birthday present, eh? I have never been to a solo tour of yours, however I did see you step onstage with Steve Miller, and at the Bone Bash. This tour will kick major @$$ though... I met Eric Johnson at an EJ/Buddy Guy show, so you should ask him if he remembers Jason and Don to see if he wants to bring us back to watch the show when you get to the Bay Area... I will be at you in-store in Concord, so I guess Ill see ya there!

thefireman:Prayers being sent your way bud, we,ve had our run ins with cancer here as well with my wifes family, 2 kids in the last 2 years, both are recovering well thanks to these amazing people that work ungodly hours in hospital, they really should pay those peeps a hell of a lot more

Cube:All here is good man, slowly putting this jigsaw of a small home studio together.I couldnt wait for the next Digi & if Martone is using it then it has to have quality.I,ve stopped using the GT6, i,ve been tweaking it for months now but nope tis not for me, the tone i need is not there.I,m also thinking of an analog studio, digital stuff sounds 2 squeeky clean for me, this kind of plastic sounding digital chip inhumane consumerism leaves me feeling so cold sound wise, maybe the GNX3000 will turn my head, i,ll let y know in a couple of weeks, was supposed to be here from Madrid yesterday but nope.Damn tone searching takes up so much time

tulsachops ...thanks for the listen...yes, RB has done some minstrel music...very, very pleasant if you are partial to it.... The real secret weapon on the JS Sig model is the subtle high pass filter on the volume pot...it serves so nicely as a noise gate too...great stuff Joe!

HI all! Brand spankin' new fan here so be gentle lol

I'm a long-time Bowie fan, got into Earl Slick when I saw him with Bowie on the Reality tour, and his work got me interested in so much more (so here I am). I hope that's ok to say on a Satriani site, but why not eh? If you're a music fan, then you eventually get to the good stuff, even if some of us took too long to get there. Thought I'd check out this site and was blown away by some of the stuff I've heard so far... so much more to go.

I dove right in, registered and bought tickets to the Toronto show -looking forward to it.

Any tips for a newbie? Where do I begin? Can't buy all the CDs at once :( any recommendations?

Cool site too, but a lot of stuff here to check out, so any advice on that would be welcome too.

Oh, and I already know "I'm a newbie" posts aren't cool, co you don't have to tell me that one -sorry if I piss anyone off for that.

cheers,

Fireman-

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. This too shall pass. My 83 yr old mother had the unilateral 7 or 8 years ago and is still going strong. Don't forget the ancient women of the Amazon tribe underwent this procedure by choice so they could become stronger archers. Wanda will be stronger too. Peace.

Waterproof Soap-

I get where you're comin from. Today IS only yesterday's tomorrow! That's an old Uriah Heap lyric off Demons and Wizards, I think, unless it was Sweet Freedom... 'stealin' when I shoulda been buyin...' nope, definitely off Demons and Wizards. Keep expounding on the subject.

Blue_Moon-

Methinks you've been playin' some harp music down by St. James Gate. Oh, how I crave that creamy goodness... even at 09:00AM. ;-)

SteveeT-

Thanks for the comments on RB. I will look into his currents. I guess this explains why he hates riding in airplanes and likes haunted castles. reminds me, I need to get a new volume pot for my old beater, it's beginning to crackle a bit. Wrong-kind-of-noise gate, indeed.

Satriella-

DEVO has some disabled spin loop lyrics that are, of course, computer-like yet they don't quite compute:

'Remember to do nothing when you don't know what to do The next thing I say to you will be false, the last thing I said was true'

js1200js1000-

Yer on, bro! If we brew it, they will come! Wow .. hydro in a place big enuff to hangar the space shuttle?!?. flippin' sweet! Coulda spent a month or two just grazing... mmMooooooo! ;-)

Cheers & keep on shreddin', yall
