Blackmore has been doing his lute'n'damsel thing for almost ten friggin years now!!
Check it out HERE
One good thing that came out of the demise of the last Ritchie Mark of Purple tho was our man Joe filling in on guitar. Bootleg audio and video of those shows is available out there.
A birdy told me that Blackmore will be playing more electric guitar on the next project BUT the damsel stays!!! Amen!!!
Not to the Blackmore saga but to meat LMAO

Hi Joe,
I really look forward to seeing your new record. It looks cool, I will be very happy if it will be cool :-)
I dont know if you will read this message (I think you will not :-)) but I want to try to ask you for something.
I play for last 1 year about 4-9 hours per day, and my fingers and hands hurts. I just want to know how you keep your hands healthy. Some massages or something...
I´m really sorry for my english but I´m only 16years old and I´am from Europe and my english is really poor, so sorry.
So, Good bye Joe and i hope I will see you in Europe on tour. You are great and with Steve Vai, AL di Meloa and Pat Metheny you are my favourite musician :-)
Bye and peace with guitar and music :-)

Once you've determined the culprits have returned home,
go borrow a large garbage/ash can from another neighbour, preferably with their name or address on it. Next fill the can with water (and/or any other convenient liquid you may have on hand). If you feel the need to 'discharge anything bodily', now is the time. Carefully roll the can and lean it up onto the noisey neighbour's front door making sure that it will fall into their flat or room when the door is opened. Wait til they get just to sleep and suddenly crank about 200W of some Judas Priest - Screaming For Vengeance, jacked thru your guitar amp placed up near the common wall or ceiling. If they should come dripping to your door, simply say that you have no idea what they are talking about and that you were just enjoying your favourite song and that they should be hearing quite a lot of it in the future. Then offer them a towel which you have specially prepared for them beforehand
(see discharge segment above).

You're killing me with this anagram thing! I got all excited when I got 'BAKE THE DUCK' and 'CAKE DUET TBH' but I think I finally figgered it out. Is it BUCKETHEAD? ...too cool. lmao.

Thanks for sharing the Blackmore info and link! The Discography Dungeon has excrutiating detail, excellent stuff. I have a trivia question: Who was RB's stand-in on the Deep Purple album 'Come Taste The Band'? This same late great guitar artist also took over for Joe Walsh on James Gang albums 'Bang' and 'Miami' (actually 2 really good albums) before launching his own all-to-brief solo career.
Many thanks to all T2Jers for welcoming me into the fold!

Joe,
Stoked as always about the new album and I am counting the days until I can get my hands on it.
On a much sadder note, I've checked the tour dates for the new tour and St. Louis is not on it. Now I understand that dates are added on as the tour commences, but why is it that St. Louis never seems to be on anybody's list initially? Last time you were here with Dream Theater the place was packed. This goes for just about every artist it seems, but your show is one of the few I care to see. Chicago and Kansas City are always on the list.
Just feeling a bit jilted in St. Louis.

Tommy Bolin indeed! You are the man! I still rock out to Teaser and Post Toastee. The Mouzon and Cobham collaborations are representative pieces of this guitar genius of the 60s and 70s. I had the pleasure of seeing him in Tulsa back in 1976, I believe opening for Thin Lizzy, this just two concert dates prior to his tragic death. And if you're as old as me (fossil carbon dated), you remember a band called Zephyr? A good link for those interested is:

I just realized the guys on the Billy Cobham Spectrum album and I have to drop a name. My brother, a great pedal steel player (Dolly Parton and lots of studio work) played and is good friends with Leland Sklar (of James Taylor and Phil Collins fame). In all fairness, Lee has played with just about everybody. Sklar was the bassist on Spectrum. Sorry for the off-topic rambling, but I think Joe would approve of us all broadening our musical horizons so to speak. With that said, I gotta Satch Boogie outa here. Peace!

962: As far as acoustic guit fiddles, the Taylors are absolutely great! Even their $300 models sound amazing. Takaminies also sound great to me. I own an ovation celebrity deluxe (the multi holed mapple leaf design) and it's great, but it's not for everyone. I think Ovations, though, are one of the best mic ed up recorded guitars. The balanced bass response of the ovation makes it sound totally perfect in a mix next to electrics and other instruments. Whenever I mic up the Ovation, I never have to do anything to it...no EQ etc etc. On the other hand, I've recorded full bodied jumbo acoustics that sounding fat, but sounded way too boomy infront of a sensitive AKG condenser mic.

Joe,
Can you talk to the guys at Ibanez and ask them to make a few left handed JS1200s????? I'm sure there are others that would love to have one! I'm currently playing an RG470. The only other model available is the RG1570. All in boring black!
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated! Can't wait to see your show on 4/5 at the House of Blues.
Sincerely,
Dave Bogdan
