FIREMAN: Plese watch out for your wife on this one point: You can become mortally sick from the anti-biotics if'in' your careful or not. I just had surgery back when katrina started and the anti-biotics gave me colostridium. Ask for the anti-dote to it(Flagil) and she'll be okay. It is something to watch for-the doctors know about this- it's concidered an acceptable side-effect from the anti-biotis! AMEN JON WEBMASTER: I'm confused on what happened to my computer the other day while on the JS site. Right in the middle of listening to the podcast;;;the format changed to realplayer. I no longer can listen to the podcasts!!!!!! any suggestions for me?????? I will log on tomorrow to see if'in' you can help. Thanks in advance. High T2Jers!

JOE & JON, have you seen this kid play Hendrix? He kicks ass! He's 13, and plays an electric violin (errr, whatever it is?). We caught him playing while channel surfing today. Very cool stuff!!! Antonio Pontarelli -

Webmaster Jon, hope this is okay....the producer of "Take Note" came into the chat tonight...Sherrie...and she said she's been trying to get ahold of you....we talked about emailing u and posting here....she thought it would be great if I posted to share this...

...she would like folks to know about their site...

go here

They did an interview with Joe...the show is a lil over a half an hour...and they have a link at the site to sell the dvd of the interview.

She wants folks who are interested to know that there is a discount code u can use to get $2 off the dvd...it's TNJOE245

She said Joe was really great in the interview and generous with his answers to questions....covers all kinds of stuff including his chromies, his dog....the industry, etc...

I ordered my copy LAST night before the discount...sigh....oh well, I'll still enjoy!! Hope others can too...

And PS, the ordering site is down this evening for maintenance, but should be back up in a few hours!

KirbyShaw: You parents are very fortunate. Jack Kirby was almost a force of nature. He is *sorely* missed. Your dad's not Scott Shaw, is he?

962 - OMG yes that was one of the best things I have ever experienced! i forgot that you may have gone there! How cool was Paul Gilbert! And to get so close to such a genius was amazing! I can't believe he went to such a small venue! probably the best £10 I have ever spent I think!

I will check out the hotplate. Sounds like something I really need! I was looking at the marshall powerbrake previously as I think that does a similar thing!

OCPS470, Big Baby sounds nice, especially the small body-size. "It also had zero in the way of fancy apointments, so all of the build cost goes to materials"......this is pretty much the impression I get from Turners too.....hanging on a wall next to the Yamahas and Takamines they don't look particularly fancy at all, but you can hear and feel the difference when you play them.

DCK, do they (214 and 210) have anything in the way of preamps? A preamped pickup is a requirement for me!
Delfino, wicked man, drumming is ace. It'd be sure to help you with your guitar playing.....as an example, just look what it did to Nuno Bettencourt!
Ethn Hyabusa, I've never seen Tacoma guitars here.....where are they from?
OllyNo1, yeah the Marshall Powerbreak and THD Hotplate do the same thing. The Marshall is swithcable for different impedences, while the Hotplate isn't so you have to get one that matches the impedence of your amp.

But, the Hotplate has a nice line out and is just plain superb really. I checked out a few reviews and many people seemed to be recommending it over the powerbreak.....I personally haven't tried the Marshall unit, but I love the THD, it's superb.

Paul Gilbert, oh man that was amazing! Definitely the best 10 quid I've spent, and easily on a par with the best shows I've been to. I was absolutely flawed by his playing considering the pure, simple setup. And even when he played through that 15 watt valve practice amp.....jeeeesus. Yeah, that was a good evening!

962 - Cool, I'mm looking around on ebay etc for one! How can I tell what impedance I would need?

Yer Paul gilbert! I still have shudders down my spine when I think obout that! How amazing to sound like that with just a stock amp pretty much off the shelf! I bought the little laney based on that performance! For a 15W amp though its one loud little amp!

When your new DVD arrives, let us know if it is worth getting. I noticed it is only 36 minutes long - and $18 bucks.

Paying 50 cents for every minute? Plus shipping.

If it is great - I will do it. If it is just ok - maybe not.

It is not what you think

Two women were playing golf when one teed off and watched in horror as her ball headed directly toward a foursome of men playing the next hole.

The ball hit one of the men and he immediately clasped his hands together at his groin, fell to the ground and proceeded to roll around in agony.

The woman rushed down to the man, and immediately began to apologize "Please allow me to help. I'm a physical therapist and I know I could relieve your pain if you'd allow me," she told him.

"Oh, no, I'll be fine in a few minutes," the man replied.

He was in obvious agony, lying in the fetal position, still clasping his hands together at his groin. At her persistence, however, he finally allowed her to help.

She gently took his hands away and laid them to the side, loosened his pants and put her hands inside. She administered tender and artful massage for several long moments and asked, "How does that feel?"

He replied, "It feels great but my thumb still hurts like hell."
