mikesb, ok, any chance you could give us the link again 'cause I don't have it anywhere?!

DCK, hey man, thanks for checking out my new tune! I'm a bit annoyed with how badly mixed it sounds on the mp3 tho, ah well, that'll teach me for not buying proper monitors to work with!
civgeek, hey no problem. I hope you do get that album, it's great, and Pablo is such a legend.....there's a song on there in Japanese, and I wish I could remember what it all means 'cuz it's hilarious, but it's also a really beautiful melody! Great stuff...

Happy birthday for tomorrow dude!

Hi there... I'm from Prague (Czech Republic) and I don't know when was Joe in Czech last time... I think Joe has a lot of fans there so you're certainly welcome! ;) Please try to come to Czech, it's a small country but with strong people who loves good music, good beer etc. And Czech Rep. is in the middle of europe so it'll be good for other countries like Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovakia etc. They have it so close to our country and they could come... ;) I know, you have lot of things to do, but if you find some time, try to visit Czech and do some concert... It'll be fine... (poor wish by poor fan)

So bye, and i hope you'll receive that massage and post me some answer... :)

Okay, I'm all caught up now...

Guitarmiester - I'm way up in the third balcony for the Dream Theater gig in New York. I'm in the center though, so that's good. You're on the floor, right? Keep in touch...it'd be nice to find you and say "hey" at the gig.

pekyakya - "HI anyone know about presale passwords?"

I don't know what show you're asking about, but I've found in the past that presale passwords are usually fairly easy to guess. If you're asking about a presale for one of Joe's upcoming shows, try something like "Satch", "Super", or "Colossal". I've found that the call letters of local radio stations are often used as passwords as well (if it's their presale).

Stevee T - Thanks...I feel like I'm almost back to 100%. I got sick in such a stupid way, so I'm glad it doesn't seem to be lasting long.
frankt2525 - The game is NASCAR 2006 for the PS2.

Talking of big hugs....there is a big one coming your way MThead101...sorry about the satelite delay....there are so many friends on here I keep losing track! Course you didn't offend me...how could a SLAM-A-TOCIOUS hug offend anyone eh?!

Delfino - Ah...glad you av calmed down a bit....prodigy are from my home town...they're great...got a few albums myself....actually one of them bought my mums old house in Braintree and another one bought my grans old place....that was a coupld of years ago...i think they still got them. My mum says the lead singer is "A lovely boy!!!" hehehe not sure he would want people to hear him discribed as that or not? :-)

PeaceandGuitars - whats all this "am fine"...is that all you got to say to us...c'mon you can do better than that sweety....I know so cos I've read your previous posts...where has the REAL peaceandguitars got to? Big hug to help you feel better than am fine!

Guitarmeister - Just listening to The Trooper...wow true to your name...you are a guitarmeister indeed....no wonder he asked you to do the guitar...the sound quality does go a bit fuzzy at the end....but your playing still shines through.....sorry I can't get all technical with yaz :-) You will have to ask a few others in here for that kind of thing! so where do we hear your stuff then?

Hugs Satriella xx

For anyone who wants to check it out..I just drew the first picture of something other than a face that I've done since I was 15.....phew that was a looooooooooong time ago!

I got a good friend to check it out first and he has given it the AOK...apparently it does look like the car it is supposed to be....I wouldn't av a clue myself :-)

Hello Satchaholics!

I just checked out the video podcasts for Super Colossal and I must say I am as excited as a blind lesbian at a fish fry for the release of the new album.

Joe:

I love the way you change the texture of your music album to album. It allows me to rediscover auditory flavors as time goes by. Thanks for the new stuff and I will see you on the road!

Haha...I'm assuming the 'lead' singer is Keith Flint (the guy who did the vocals for 'Firestarter')...he's awesome I've met him twice, once at the demo for Reason 3.0 and once in Birmingham on the day of the show for their most recent tour.

Although, in the video I posted I reckon he looks like a fashion designer.

HA!! Here's today quote from my George Carlin calendar...

"If someone says "have a nice weekend!" I never say, "You too." Because I never know if, perhaps, by the time the weekend rolls around, I will have other plans for that person. Come Friday, I may wish to have them slain."

Gotta love George :-)

GUITARPICKER

______________________________________________________________

YOUR BAND AINT SPLIT UP OUR KID. YOU JUST HAVE TO SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE AND SHOW EM YOU CAN HAVE A LAUGH WITH EM. BANDS SPLIT BECAUSE OF MORTGAGES, WOMEN PROBLEMS, MUSICAL DIFFERENCES OR UNCONTROLABLE EGOS (MOSTLY VOCALISTS IN THAT DEPT).

STICK IT OUT AND PATCH UP THE DIFFERENCES AS ITS A LOT HARDER TO START AGAIN. BANDS DONT SPLIT BECUASE SOME ONES BEEN PLAYIN SILLY BUGERS WITH YOUR PEDAL. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IN OZZYS SHOES? TONY IOMMI PLAYED HIM UP FOR YEARS. TONYS FAVOURITE GAG WAS STICKING EGGS IN OZZYS BED !! OZZ FELL FOR IT EVERY TIME !!

THEY PROBABLLY HID YOUR PEDAL MATE. THERE WAS A DRUMMER IN MY OLD BAND THAT USED TO HIDE MY GUITAR ($1000 BC RICH ST3). EVENTUALLY EVRYONE ELSE IN MY BAND GOT SICK OF HIS ATTITUDE AND A COUPLE OF MNTHS LATER HE WAS VOTED OUT OF THE BAND. ITS SOME WANKER WHO WISHES HE COULD WRITE TUNES THATS DONE IT. JEALOUSY.

Hi, I just read that Joe is going to come to Southamerica... I wondering if he's going to come to Argentina and when. I can't wait to see Satriani live again. I went to the G3 concert when they came to Buenos Aires and it was amazing. Please Joe, if you read this come to Argentina again... I'll be waiting you with a tipical 'asado argentino' (argentine barbacue) hehe... Bye!

ANYONE THATS LEARNIN TO PLAY

______________________________________________________________

Regarding modes

Guitarists have a tendacy to over complicate things. All you really need to learn are the seven basic inversions. To get the modal variations its just a question of where you start. For example if you play F# min scale over an E min proggression you produce the mixylodian mode (i think).

If you have a back ground 1st ,4th and 5th (E/A/B) progression in E .Try starting in different keys with your soloing scale. Try F#min 1st. Then try Gmin. Then Amin, Bmin, Cmin and Dmin scales over this pattern. It took me a while to figure out its all the same patterns on your fret board just juggled around to produce the different tonallities.

DONT OVER COMPLICATE THINGS.......

BEST IDEAS ARE USUALLY THE SIMPLEST......
