DEAN GASPARDO: Steven Wilde gave me your cd to listen to, "Through these Eyes" and track ten "Lucky Me" was a stand out for me. All the tracks have a similar style like Steven's only a bit more reserved. Great work Dean ! I love hearing stuff like yours. You remind me of UFO a bit with your phrazing. I guess Steven has talked to you about having "seemless recordings." At least your production habits utlize this attribute. Hope you don't mind an impromtu review. Randell P.S. JOE SATRIANI: The pod cast seems to keep changing it's playing fromat on my comp. Now I have to wait an uncommon amount of time to hear your songs....but still worth the effort! Thanks for the pre-views! Randell

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the
Director what the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be
institutionalized.
"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a
teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to
empty the bathtub."
"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the
bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."
"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you
want a bed near the window?"

ACTUAL AUSTRALIAN COURT DOCKET 12659---CASE OF THE PREGNANT LADY
A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus. She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her. After a few minutes, this started making her very uncomfortable, so she moved to another seat. The man's eyes followed here, and the smile turned into a broad grin. She moved again. The man seemed even more amused. When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing, she complained to the driver, who flagged down a cop and had the young man removed from the bus. He was eventually arrested.
The case came up for arraignment. The judge asked the man (about 20 years old) what he had to say for himself. The man replied, "Well your Honor, it was like this: When the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition. She sat down under a sign that said, 'The Double Mint Twins are coming' and I smiled."
"Then she moved and sat under a sign that said, 'Logan's Liniment will reduce the swelling', and I had to grin."
"Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said, 'William's Big Stick did the trick,' and I could hardly contain myself.
"BUT, your Honor, when she moved the fourth time and sat under a sign that said, 'Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this accident'... I just lost it."
The case was dismissed.

AWESOME video, Joe! Love the animation effect. There's a movie coming out later this year called "A Scanner Darkly" that has kinda the same type of animation. Cool shots of just you and your JSX standing in the middle of the city "woodshedding". Loved the little nuances, too, like the Crystal Planet globe (I'm assuming a reference to the Daily Planet globe :p) and the G3 neon sign. Can't wait to get this CD!. Can't wait to hear any bonus tracks that might be on the live listening party as well. I should be getting the CD early since I pre-ordered it. That usually happens. I get it a week early most times. Looking forward to the next DVD and hopefully you'll put some of the Is there Love In Space? tracks on it as well as some of the new material. We've only seen two songs (G3: Live in Tokyo) from ITLIS played live in a concert setting. Can't wait to see more. Please keep us up to date with any new DVD info. Is there one in progress soon? Please say yes!!!

I loved the latest Podcast track Joe... very spacey and emotional, and at the same time it's got a heavy deep groove... I can't wait to hear more of "Made Of Tears"... That and "A Cool New Way" are so far my favs...
I love that spacey sound you get... Is it something that you've had to study or do you somehow stumble on those types of sounds... That's what music is for me really... something that's deliberate in the way it sounds, not just notes playing, the overall sound of it too... the way drums work with the bass lines, and the way rhythmic guitar patterns mix with lead guitar parts as well... how it all meshes together.
Surely some of the stuff you've created have been somewhat accidental in some cases, or didn't turn out exactly how you expected it... All in all there has to be some sort of a conscious or sub-conscious realization of what you're doing... Do songs sometimes seem to write themselves for you... or have you ever written a song in your dreams and made it a reality as well?
anyways... that's enough to ponder for one night... it's late, I'm babbling again, I need rest...
Peace
Bear!

bubbaepp, cool, thanks for sharing that! I gotta say, I'm really envious of you having seen the first G3 tour, I would love to have seen that.
I love Eric Johnson's music, he's so awesome, and I've never seen him play ('cause he won't leave the US! hehe). Also, there's nothing wrong with being a fan of Summer Song! Especially with the way Joe plays it live, like on the Live IN SanFran show.....what a great intro!
Satriella, thanks, but I can't check out Joe's videos or sound clips. It took me TEN attempts to dial a connection this morning, I think that trying to look at a video would be pushing my luck!

Quote from cuthbert 1776:
The military industrial complex has taken the wisdom of Goebbels and come up with the perfect (for the gov) everlasting fear of terrorism, allowing them to constantly peddle their deadly wares while steamrolling personal freedom in the name of security.
... and it's already starting ... The Associated Press reports Governor Mike Rounds signs legislation banning nearly all abortions in South Dakota.
(sorry, I know this is old stuff, I just get het up by politics -- on to the new stuff)
