Geez man, all this talk of death and dying. My daughter was at her first viewing tonight. She went with a few of her friends. Her friend Lauren, who is also 17, lost her mother on Friday. She was gunned down by her boyfriend inside a local restaurant while trying to run from him. He shot her a few times, then turned the gun on himself. Now this beautiful 17 yr old girl, her 9 yr. old sister, and two older brothers are without a mom. She was only 44. Dad is nowhere around. The girls have nothing now. A cousin is moving into their house to take care of them. The boys are older and out on their own.

I read the viewing pamphlet that my daughter brought home and man, did I cry. I had to go hug up on my daughter after that. It had pictures of the mom, this beautiful young woman with big smiles, and pictures of her playing with her kids when they were younger. Lauren also wrote the most beautiful poem for her mom. Man, that poor girl. My heart is so broken for her and her siblings. I'm going to hug my kids so much this week they're going to get sick of me, but that's okay.

Go hug somebody.

randybass...you're welcome...where does Andy play?

Ah...I checked his site...he's in CT on Fri, NYC at BB King's on Saturday, and out here in The Hampton's at Stephen's Talkhouse & in Islip in April...did not realize he was part of The Band of Gypsies reconstruct....impressive to say the least...I'll hook up with him...will you be attending any of the shows....? We could hook....I just luv Jimi....Message of Love...one of my ALL TIME favorite grooves...I wrote a tune very similar...based on Jimi's groove....always wondered where Jimi would be if he'd survived....I'd like to think...once I'm ready...very soon...that I can pick up the fallen torch...God willing....

lucysorets...hi...yu have mail(S).....chelsea are out....yahoooooooooo...mourinho can start eating humble pie...the arrogant "special one'' does not want to accept defeat graciously and says that barca cannot beat chelsea 11 on 11,,,well how about this,,the penalty that lampard scored should have never been apenalty coz . 1...john terry was offside ,and, 2....the tackle was a clean one and terry dived for the penalty and thus cheated the referee.... in the end just reward was awarded to barca coz they simply out thought chelsea........ three cheers to RONALDINHO and THE ENTIRE BARCA SQUAD FOR MAKING CHELSEA LOOK STUPID ON THE FIELD......

marimari.....i dont know about the others abut i am proud of yu..so keep up the good work and god bless..

The guy changed his Web site to reflect that NOTE's title was taken from the 1957 movie once I alerted him to the error. This was before Joe responded to Ya Yo's question, and the guy responded to me saying he forgot where heard the info. Thanks Joe, for the response!

I'm running into all this great information about the backgrounds of Joe's songs, but it's sometimes tough to get info from sources that I can verify. It's a cool project, though. I feel like I've hit gold every time I find out definitive info on a song (like finding out Tears in the Rain was inspired by the movie, Blade Runner!).

I hope to have the Web site up in a few weeks, albeit with lots of missing info. Hopefully I'll eventually be able to fill in all the details. I've got a ton of old guitar magazines on order, so that should help a bit.

I've read through about 30 online interviews so far, listened to four Rockline interviews, scoured through all the old T2J posts (skimming for blue text!), including all the ones that were still available at archive.org (I had totally forgotten that "Time" was first released on the Web!), read all the liner notes, took notes on Reel Satriani and The Satch tapes, got the ITLIS listening party transcribed, and have all of the SC Podcast (so far) transcribed. I think I'm about 10% done!

Anyway, sorry to ramble on, but I think I've got some really cool stuff so far, and I can't wait to put the site up.

I just wish I could sit down with Joe for about a day or two straight and ask him to fill in all the blanks! I may try to sneak a question in here every once in a while, though, but I want to try and make sure Joe hasn't answered it before first.

Greetings Joe !

I just want to thank You from the bottom of my heart for being innovative and clear about exactly what you want.

I remember way back listening to " The Snake " and literally falling backwards on my chair. The last time that happened to me is when I first heard "you ain't Seen Nothin Yet " by BTO.

Listen....I pray for you and I hope to play again soon since I became disabled and had to stop working club gig's..

What I do now is record online. I have the Cubase VST version 5XXX and my friend Mike who Rock's on the key's and lives in Las Vegas and my friend Frits who thumps the bass and lives in Morro Bay, California.

Technology has almost caught up with "ROCK & ROLL"

Keep Rock'n and may your journey be pleasant and may you rest the hands of Love as God is LOVE and Love is EVERYTHING...

Take care......

With Hope And Love Sincerely: Timothy John Telfair

Hi Joe ! I Love You Man ! Your "Brother John" is the best song that I have ever heard... Excuse me if I cant speak english well... I have 2 questions : 1 - if you're still using your DS-1 distortion ?

2 - In Extremist song, what is your distortion pedal ? DS-1 ? or another ?

You must know mr. Satriani : in Iran you have too many fans...

with special thanks.
