After going through a number of interviews, I've noticed that Joe gets asked these questions (or variations of them) just WAY too much:

- what happened to your hair? will you ever grow it back? - what do you think about the future of guitar? - what was it like teaching Steve Vai, Kirk Hammet, etc.? - how did you get started playing guitar?

I don't know how Joe has the patience to keep answering these, but I guess it could really backfire on him if he said something like, "geez - I've answered that 50 times - do your research! What's the matter with you!!"

The only thing I've so far seen that's close to that is when Joe was asked if he could be trusted to play the blues (around the time of the Joe Satriani album). Joe basically said (not a direct quote), That's such a strange question. What kind of question is that??

I think he just usually gives really short answers if he doesn't like the question.

He also gets asked something like "Who are you listening to now" quite a bit, but this is a good question, as Joe listens to a lot of cool stuff, and he usually gives a different answer.

Song info: "Turkey Man" is about guitar tech Mike Manning. - posted by Joe on T2J, March 17, 2000. BTW, Eric Caudieux wrote this one.

I was wondering why you're bald. I'd probably listen to you if you had long flowing locks, like back in the day. I may consider going to see you in concert if you were even to wear a wig and possibly remove your sunglasses. I can't say wether you are good or bad at the guitar becuase I have been put of your music due to your intense baldness.

Anyway what I'm trying to say is to grow some hair or, failing that, look yourself out a hairpiece. Don't mean to be harsh but it's how I feel with this matter.

My friend "Spud Turkington" really digs you though and I'd be interested in listening your music if only I could be sure it was recorded by a guy with cool hair.

All the best.

To Webmaster -

Hiya...I've read about the dates for the UK and I am going to go to the Birmingham show. The tickets go on sale tomorrow so I'll buy them as soon as they're available to get the best seats, but preferably I'd like to get the premium tickets if they're available for the UK shows. I don't want to buy tickets if they're are, but if they're not then I want to buy tikets as soon as possible (to get good seats). Is there any plans for the premium tickets in the UK? Tickets go on sale for Birmingham tomorrow 10am UK time.

baldy feck Pretty horrible thing to say about Joe in my opinion. Joe looks ****STUNNING**** With his bald head, and what the hell is wrong with his sunglasses????? Not only is Joe the best guitarist ever, he is also blessed with his amazing good looks. I would'nt say there are many artists out there that can top that.

Baldy_Feck You are an IDIOT! What the hell does having hair or not have anything to do with anyones ability to play guitar, or even do anything else!? I don't think anybody cares if you don't go see Joe on tour just because you will only see him if he puts a wig on and takes off the sunglasses... You are totally unbelievable! You do not deserve to be a fan after saying what you said. Do yourself a favor and never post anything up on this website again, especially if it's going to be as pathetic, lame, pointless, and just stupid like your 1st post!

-There you go everybody...according to Baldy_Feck, change is not good at all and wearing sunglasses and hair plays a huge role in how good you are at something! And no, I'm not sorry for going off on this moron, @sses like him need someone to attempt to straighten them out. Almost forgot...what a loser!

-Just look at this line by Baldy_Feck "I can't say wether you are good or bad at the guitar becuase I have been put of your music due to your intense baldness." Hmmmm... no hair must = not good at guitar, while hair = good at guitar! Wow! This guy is a genius! That must be the secret to life, having hair and not 'intense baldness.' Is it just me, or Bald_Feck a fu**ing idiot!!!

Hey Joe, I just wanted to pop in quick and introduce myself to you and all the members here. Hi all! I also wanted to thank you. You were with me via discman during my last deployment in Iraq. You will be there with me again shortly. I really got back to my musical roots during that time. I picked up Eric Clapton's "Me and Mr Johnson" cd while I was there and really started getting into that. It kind of brought me back on a big musical loop to you and Steve Vai. Since I have been back I realized one of my longterm goals of getting an Ibanez electric, I bought it 2 months ago, a black JS100.. I love it. Thank you for what your music means to me, and the influence it has had on my playing. I still suck at it, but I am having the time of my life!

Sergeant...

PhryDom Sorry, I didn't even think about the 'trolls'! I was seeing posts by a few that included 'trolls' username so checked out his post...yea, it kinda set me off. But hey, he deserved it all, and more, I held back a lot that I was going to say, luckily I did, or it would have taken up like a page.

gotta have Joe Yea, I reread what I wrote a few times, got me laughing, not just at what I said, but mainly at him! Almost forgot...I'll be signing autographs in the lobby all week!

-gotta have joe - I bought the GW magazine a week or two ago, I checked out the footage on the disc, but haven't had a chance to read it yet. I finally got to check out the videos on this site the other day, too. The computer I'm using doesn't have quicktime 7, so I used my brothers Apple the other day to check everything out...awesome stuff!

Joe,

The New song is awesome! I am a long time fan and sort of a student, (Guitar Secrets). I run an Internet Radio Station out of Kansas City "The KCHost Radio Network and host a radio show called Riff Revolution. I would be honored if we could do a short phone interview with you to promote the new release. Our show is carried live and in syndication on multiple FM/AM and Internet station in the US, Canada and the UK. Contact me if you are interested. It would last 5-10 minutes and we could play the new song. Show time is 6PM CST Sundays.

You’re an inspiration! Keep it up!

gotta have Joe I editted my last post, I wrote more to you... nice email address, seems to fit (sorry?) It's has to be great to have such awesome fans... I was over at John Petrucci's forum (Dream Theater's guitarist) the other day, he's got all the really technical guitarists over there that like to point out every mistake and critique him to the max. No wonder he doesn't visit his own site that much! I'm watching Dream Theater's Live at Budokan DVD right now (song - Hollow Years)...I can't wait to see them April 1st!!! Then Joe the 18th! Woo! Is the new email address working? I can send you an email quick?
