AXEMAN: I will send you some specifics about my guitar playing and stuff via e-mail ....with your permission...of course. This web site says only 3 year experience, but that's just the past few years where I've been applying my self to learning from dvd's and teachers such as Tony Burnett, and John McCarthy from Rockhousemethod.com. I originally started when I was 14years old. I'm 47 now. I'm a 25 year retired? chef. Yes Pleasanton is close....going to spitzers music to meet/greet with Joe? 1931 market street concord. THE HAWK: Yea, best of luck with working with/for Joe. I've only lost a toe, but would play bass for Joe, If'in' I could do well at a rehersal/tryout. Love that rasberryJam DeltaV! Yes I play both bass and guitar. JOE: There is plenty of buzz out there for your new album! Great stuff Meastro! Randell

SCOTT WEILAND AND DUFF MCKAGAN RESPOND TO AXL ROSE
Velvet Revolver bassist Duff McKagan and singer Scott Weiland have responded to a press release issued last week by Guns N' Roses frontman W. Axl Rose. Rose lambasted his former Guns bandmates, McKagan and Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash, claiming that the latter called Weiland a "fraud" and McKagan "spineless" in an early morning meeting at Rose's house last year. McKagan told us that he would rather not get involved in the situation at all: "I think, you know, a lot of it's really unfortunate, very difficult. I've always just wanted to make great music and that's what I plan on doing. As far as a rebuttal to what he said, or what Slash has said, I won't get involved in a war of words, you know. People say all kinds of stuff and I'm not going to be one of them." Scott Weiland was not as diplomatic. In a posting at Velvet Revolver's official web site, Weiland called Rose a "fat, Botox-faced, wig-wearin' f***." Weiland wrote that Rose had an "unoriginal, uncreative little mind, the same mind that had to rely on its bandmates to write melodies and lyrics -- who's the fraud now?" Weiland also slammed Rose for taking more than a decade to make the still-unreleased Guns N' Roses album Chinese Democracy, saying, "How many albums have you put out, man, and how long did it take the current configuration of this so-called 'band' to make (the album)?...We toured our album over a year and a half. How many shows have you played over the last 10 years?" The last Guns N' Roses tour, in 2002, ended abruptly after just a handful of shows.
Weiland concluded by calling Rose a "frightened little man who once thought he was king."
A Velvet Revolver spokesperson told MTV.com that Slash would issue his own response within days.
Rose's initial press release accompanied his countersuit against Slash and McKagan, who have sued Rose over licensing, publishing and royalty issues.
McKagan told us that Velvet Revolver will enter the studio on April 10th to begin recording its sophomore album.

death cube - After I posted, I thought about it and ... it only makes sense it was you! I just started posting here. Had to chime in since Joe is one of my favorite artists of all time and since I am seeing him in NJ on 4/18. I hope I win the contest to meet him backstage.
I'll post a review of the new CD soon. I picked it up and only got to hear the first few songs. So far I love it. Stay tuned.
Rock on, PEOPLE!

Good Evening Joe! I just picked up your latest release SUPER COLOSSAL and I think it is one of the GREATEST albums I have EVER heard. Thank you very much for this I owe you one!!!! My FAVORITE song on this one is MADE OF TEARS and even after all these years I always am surprised to know how your music is so FRESH! I am a relatively new fan of yours (2003) and discovering your MUSIC has been a trip!!! My favorite song from your older albums is TIME MACHINE . The only albums of yours left to get is SELF TITLED and ENGINES OF CREATION. I also recently purchased LIVE IN SAN FRANCISCO and it is the GREATEST music DVD I have see to date! I also plan on getting a PEAVEY JS amplifier but I am curious to know why you stopped using MARSHALL amps. I love all tones on all your albums so I CANNOT DECIDE! Should I get a JS head and a MARSHALL CAB or the opposite? LOL. I am looking forward to seeing you in concert Joe and I wish you the best and the WARMEST REGARDS!
CHEERS!
- Paul

Another Rockline for me spent waiting on hold for the whole show :-(
BTW, gotta - you did great! Congrats!
Anyway, I guess I'll try asking my question here:
Joe - You always seem to do a few songs in odd time signatures, like The Meaning of Love, Flavor Crystal 7, New Last Jam, etc., which don't sound forced at all. Does writing in odd time come natural to you?

Joe Satriani You Are Super Colossal
I went down to Best Buy and bought your new CD today. Joe, the release date of a new piece of art from you is such a great day. It reminds me of the feeling I used to get on Christmas morning when I was a kid. I just don't think the employees at Best Buy enjoyed a thirty eight year old man running to the "S" section of the Rock / R&B isle in flannel feetie jammies....... Just kidding.......
Anyway, great ear candy once again. You have produced another motivating piece of music.
I thank you for your contribution and continuation, your dedication and your inspiration, your......... your......
well ya know.
