Thanks for posting the link to the Joe interview.

It helped me understand more where Joe was coming from on this album and also tells me my earlier post about SC was right on.

Joe, keep searchin for that sound man and we'll be here to check it out! Just don't forget to throw us Satch shred-style fans a bone every once in a while. Hey, you can't blame US if YOU got us addicted right?! ;P

Hi everyone!

I'm still kicking. Mom and Baby doing well. A little scare couple weeks ago, blood and all that jazz. Trip to hospital, 3hrs later doctor shrugs. Who know, my wife just can't stand still, always cleaning or moving stuff. Baby is due August 23, 2006.

AnyhowJOE, I couldn't watch the broadcast on my old computer, because Quicktime 7 is only available for Apple and Windows XP, not Windows 98 and earlier.

Well, gotta go. Have to test my eeprom burner I built. Love you all,

Ed

Cannot even get enough of "Made of Tears" That middle blues solo,,,unreal. Was told by a reliable source, currently not on set-list. If you're reading Joe this post,,,PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE???

SATRIELLA???? Just downloaded your drawing of Joe and have it hanging in my guitar room. Was wondering do I like now owe you $10,000. If so, could we maybe do low monthly payments? Seriously, Nice work

I just ran out and bought the new album, I found out about it on Tuesday oddly enough. I love Super Colossal and Ten Words. My girlfriend and her best friend agree with me there.

PCCRAZY1, I had the same problem as you. I went to the brand spanking new arm of the evil empire that is walmart they put in 5 minutes from my house and all they had was "One Big Rush". I hate walmart, if anyone saw the episode of south park, we all know that the way to destroy the walmart is actually in the electronics section.......

I own two guitars, a yamaha electric and a lyon accoustic, and for the life of me I just can't seem to learn how to play them on my own, does anyone know of a good DVD or PC program that teaches someone how to play guitar? I'm one of those types that need to watch someone do it but doesn't have the money to afford lessons.

Thanks guys!

Joe, I love your new album and am working on my girlfriend to appreciate your music....that is what I call an uphill battle.

Hey, I'm guessing you all have the new album..some really great stuff, i was just wondering if you guys were having the same problem i am. When i put the cd into my pc to listen to it, the last track is coming up " party on the enterprise" instead of "crowd chant" is this happening with you guys or is my pc retarded?

Love the new album+the podcasts leading up to its release, that was a great idea. Some great new concepts and sounds came out of this album, as well as some signature sounding Joe Satriani tracks. The Meaning of Love, One Robot's Dream, and Redshift Riders were my favs right off the bat, but the album is solid nonetheless.

Alooooha Joe! I should change my nick name as I purchased a 4 striing Tobias bass and it sucked! I'll stick with Fender for now. Anyway, just got your new CD and I have not been able to stop playing it. Great basslines! Powerful! Your guitar work is outstanding, as usual. I cannot remember the last time I got a CD and liked every tract on it. I was checking out your 06 tour and was hoping Hawaii was on the list. You surf Joe? Hey, why don't you book a concert here this summer. If you and your band can take your eyes off of some of the most beautiful wahine (women) on the beach, maybe you can get a little surfing in. Some rest and relaxation. We are STARVING over here for you Joe! If I can't entice you with surfing, what about food. Good grinds over here. Please Joe, think it over. The local people would love you. The Tower Records where I bought your CD had a HUGE poster of your CD cover on the front door, and a mass of CD's on sale. I bet if I go back tomorrow they will be gone. I send to you many mahalos (thanks) and love from the islands. Bye for now. Da growler

Conner22 - DOUBLE WOW! Really???? Are you having me on?...you actually bothered to download it then hang it on your wall....in your guitar room...if you have, then that is payment enough...what a compliment....I love you forever! Thank you!!!!!

Gruskada - Right...OK...you've never been in a car accident but you've seen thousands....right! hehe...I think a will decline the offer of a lift :-D....boy that one sounds really scary...at least there were no other cars involved with mine...he he that reminds me there was a bloke behind (the lorry just carried on) who saw me do the flip...he gave me a lift to the next town...but he was in a right state coz he had just come out of hospital for the second time after car accidents...so he was more shaky than I was!.......change of subject....

Is it you doing that write up of stuff about Joe...if it is have you gone to the Vault section here...there quite a bit of stuff...interviews and FAQ's too! that may help in the quest...

If it's not you then whoever it is sorry...

Chad Buddy!!! I was just jabbin at ya a bit man... no harm done I hope...lol

MUSIC PRO down near Home Depot and Staples in the south end of Barrie are pretty good, I know the owner quite well in there... let's just say, well enough to drop an $1800.00 AXE and for them to give me another of equal value and play it right after... if you ask for Ted or Art they're really good guys... Ted is the owner... Art is the sales man there... really nice guys. Regarding trade ins, it's all depending on the condition of the instruments and the listed value... if they're Epiphone Les Pauls you're obviously going to have a hard time for a good trade... You'd have a hard time getting a good trade in value with 2 Epiphone LPs versus 1 Gibson LP. in fact 1 gibson LP could equal possibly more than 2 Epiphone LPs... that's the sad thing, when I know for a fact that an Epiphone LP sounds just as good. I'll say it again, it's not the axe and it's name, it's the player!

Good Golly Molly...

it's bed time in these here parts....

I am posting this again to help keep it going.

Thanks to those who have responded so far.

Help pay this forward and keep it going. Lets see how big a voice we can have. Thanks again!!

Hey Guys/Gals...

Help me get Joe on the Tonight Show.

(instructions to follow)

You can email the Tonight Show and suggest a musical guest. I had done so just after my birthday on Valentine's Day to see if i could get anything other than an automated response. But, nothing...which i kinda expected as I understand how things work a bit. Anyway, I am also curious to see how much of a voice we can have if we work together.

So I would like to enlist your help just to see if we can do this.

Some of you may remember sometime ago that Joe actually sat in with the band on Dave Letterman. I remember watching this at a friend's house. So now lets try the other show.

Here's what to do...

Send to: tonightshow@nbc.com

with the subject line: Suggest A Musical Guest

and tell them to get Joe Satriani on there. Maybe even poke at them at bit by mentioning that Joe was on Dave Letterman and you'd hate to think that his show was better. hehe.....

If you'd like to find out for yourself, head to www.nbc.com.

Let's see what a focused effort can do. I'd like to see decent music making more rounds in the mainstream.

The reason radio plays a lot of crap and the music companies think that is what we want is because we do not speak up enough so they will actually listen to us.This is another way we can demonstrate more of what we want to hear.

Whadda yall think? Are you with me?

Thanks,

Your friendly neighborhood,

Guitar Samuri

HEY "FRIZZLE FRY"

No, my CD/PC are doing just fine with no glitches.

Not sure if you're aware of the fact that "Party on the Enterprise" was the original name for now named "Crowd Chant".

But, because of some kind of legal issues with "Star Trek" and the trekkies, Joe got a spanking and was told No-No on "Enterprise".

Sooooo that's that,,,hope it helps.

But, hey Frizzle, who knows, you might have the one & only CD that has this flawed and maybe it worth like $50,000,000,000 :-)

Anyone know who is touring with ( if anyone ) Joe when he does the show in the UK. I was kinda hoping Eric Johnson was coming along but I see from his website he's busy.

So who would be peoples ultimate tour partner with Joe ?

Is it possible to scrap the java chat that exists now for an irc channel on a server like dalnet?

I think members would enjoy that better than the current system. There are more options with irc, people can use various irc programs and you can put a simple java chat applet up for the novice users who don't know or simply don't want to use an irc program. Right now, there is a rather annoying beep everytime someone types.
