I know a ask a lot of them, but I have a question...

Since I'm all by myself, and trying to record stuff, does anyone know any program free, that enables me to put drums in my recordings, without having to find a drummer in my town and ask him to take all his stuff to my house freaking my parents out? Like just a program I can use to make by myself the drums on my computer?... (If possible is there the same thing for bass guitar?) cheers...

Hello Joe, your new Album Super Colossal is GREAT and i've found your old Guitar Secrets from 1993 and the exercise about soloing in 12 Keys is very great too. the song i've written due to this exercise sounds intresting but i've no conditions to bring that song out, that's not good. but so is the Live have a nice time Raziel

Has anyone ever used the M-Audio fast track interface to record your music? And can you record your guitar and backing tracks together? I have one on the way and was wondering if the quality was decent and if it is worth the time to use this device.

Barry only has 24 hours to live

Barry returned from a doctor's visit one day and told his wife Doreen that the doctor said he only had 24 hours to live. Wiping away her tears, he asked her to make love with him. Of course she agreed and they made passionate love.

Six hours later, Barry went to her again, and said, "Honey, now I only have 18 hours left to live. Maybe we could make love again?" Doreen agreed and again they made love.

Later, Barry was getting into bed when he realized he now had only eight hours of life left. He touched Doreen's shoulder and said, "Honey? Please? Just one more time before I die."

She agreed, then afterward she rolled over and fell asleep.

Barry, however, heard the clock ticking in his head, and he tossed and turned until he was down to only four more hours. He tapped his wife on the shoulder to wake her up. "Honey, I only have four hours left! Could we...?"

His wife sat up abruptly, turned to him and said, "Listen Barry, I have to get up in the morning! You don't."

Hi everybody! I've been out for the weekend... I just whizzed quickly through the posts and caught what I could. Hope you're all doin' fine. Hope Joe's fine and enjoying himself on the tour. Hope the people coming to his shows are enjoying themselves, too. Hope Kayla's closer to Seattle (or wherever Joe's at). Hope... etc...etc...etc....

Dc Slater --

Thanks for checking out my tunes. I gave yours a listen...cool stuff!
And you're welcome for the soundaid link.

Zenfish --

Thanks for the flamenco videos :).... And SRV+Stevie Wonder...I've always wondered if they ever played Superstition together....(reading through the posts) .... .... :) .... .... And the SRV documentary!!! :) ... He DID play it from the soul.... Cheers to Stevie Ray!

Satriella --

Thanks for THIS link from your son's site...it's a familiar melody the kid is playing. Is the tune titled: Canon by Johan Pachelbel? That's what it says in the intro credits... Is that what it's called?

Have a great Monday! ROOOOOOOOOOck!!! -- Play it from the soul!

Favorite weekend pastime: Blowing up the speakers with 'One Big Rush'! :)

Joe, The New Orleans HOB show rocked!!!! It was my first. I had seen the G3 Tokyo DVD in the car on the way down to N'O, so I knew to expect a great performance. But you blew me away!

To make a great show even better, I got to meet you after the concert. It was an honor to shake your hand. Thanks for the autograph and photo.

I got to meet Dave and Jeff, also. Great guys. Dave's getting around these days, huh? It was nice to hear how much fun he's having.

Thanks for a great show and I hoe you come back to N'O soon!

Good Morning Satchland.....How Was The Weekend?

962......Thanks for the info on the JS Series Guitars. I was thinking of bidding on a few on Ebay. I'm afraid of the playability. If they don't feel right then I'm stuck. I played on a couple of JS1200's at a local Sam Ash store. It just didn't feel right and I thought it was the way they set it up at the factory. How do these guitars play when they're set up properly? I'm looking for a guitar with a locking Trem, humbucker loaded, with a fast playing neck. I also was looking at Carvin. Carvin owners swear by the quality and playability of there guitars and Well it be cool to own a JS guitar (for obvious reasons) but only if it's right. So what do you think? Anybody got advise? Thanks

Slanshroom....... How are ya ? I hear ya on the Pro Tools. You could still get into a Pro Tools for around $500 with an M-Audio system. Digidesign has a great trade in program when you upgrade to a bigger system. If not, you should maybe check out Sonar 5 I'm not a PC guy buy it seems this a very good program that will fit your budget. Here's something to think about. If you're going with Pro Tools in the future it may make sense to go with an M - Audio system. The sessions you create are tranferable to any Pro Tools system you buy or with Pro Tools studios in your area. You could take a DVD of your sessions and walk into any Pro Tools based studio to mix or master. With Digidesign's trade in program and the fact sessions are tranferable you may want to go with a system you could afford and you'll be covered down the line. Just a thought and I hope this helped. Take care.

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! ! !

Edit......Hi Satriella. How R U ? I almost forgot to reply. Sorry. We're auditioning a bass player tomorrow. So I'm hoping we'll be back in business soon. We'll see how it goes and thanks for asking and thinkin' about me. Cheers and Hugs to you.

Never mind. Got it. The chord sequence is so catchy I guess that's why it's so easily enjoyable. Check out the whole list of songs that use that progression in whole or in part. Amazing. Green Day's Basket Case is what resonates with me the most.

I have never heard of Johann Pachelbel. Thanks for introducing me to some music history/theory!

Blue Moon Thanks for the leaf drum link, downloading it now...it'll help me out during the summer when I don't feel like mic'ing a drum set or can't get the drummer over! Free drum programming! Sounds good to me! Thanks again!

Satriella Thank you very much for the comments and compliments on 'The Spirit Carries On'. I'll write back to your email later on today. I mentioned that I finished the song on here, didn't really get any responses from anyone interested in checking it out... Glad you really liked it though. I'll talk to you later about it.

-Listening to Steve Vai's 'The 7th Song' album right now, such amazing songs on the CD!!! Listenining to Touching Tongues right now... this is perfect, getting my musical creativity flowing...I got a lot of work to do this week, just found out the deadline for a contest I'm entering was extended to May 10th (was May3rd). That should give me more than enough time to get these three songs finished, recorded, mixed, and submitted!
