Hi Joe,
My name is Luke Tite and I am 12 years old from Norfolk, England. You are an extreme inspiration to me and I admire you greatly. I have been playing the electric guitar since 2002 - when I was 8 years of age. Do you live in England? I desperately want to meet you to show you my talent on the electric guitar. I can play an assortment of different musical styles including Rock, Metal, Punk, Country and Blues. The bands I am influenced by are You (of course!), Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Audioslave, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Rage Against The Machine, Green Day, AC/DC and many many more. My parents are surprised by the music I am influenced by as I am so young. Everyone who has heard me playing the guitar has said how amazing I am but the ultimate thing for me would be to hear it from you. My parents would take me anywhere in England because I am so desperate to meet you and we would be honoured for you to stay with us in our home. If not, please could you send me complimentary tickets to your Super Colossal Tour in England? Please reply as I will be checking every day!
Yours hopefully,
Luke Tite Aged 12

dave121- Joe was born on July 15, 1956, in Westbury, NY, Joe was inspired to play guitar at age 14 after hearing that Jimi Hendrix had died.
Satriani is one of the world’s most renowned guitar teachers, with his most notable student being fellow Long Island native Steve Vai. In 1978, he moved to Berkeley, California to pursue a music career. He continued to teach guitar. His students included Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Larry LaLonde (Primus), David Bryson (Counting Crows), Alex Skolnick (Testament), and Charlie Hunter.
I know you would prefer Joe himself to answer you but he is real busy.....so I hope this helps a bit!
DaveSat6 - Oh sorry to hear about your drummers wife....give the love of T2J to Steve and her.....can we hear any of your chasing at all...post it here if you can!

Keniko, no problem amigo! Aww you got their catalog? I've never seen one and I play one of their amps, grrrrr. hehe
cuthbert, yeah "touch wood" is the british equivelant of "knock on wood".
Suzie, "mainly because of the cost of moving TWICE in 14 months" - ouch, I bet your damn pleased it was worth it! haha.
guitarboy12, Joe lives in the Bay Area (round SanFrancisco), California. And complimentary tickets would be great but I recommend just buying a show ticket rather than holding out hope of freebies ;-)
I personally don't recommend publishing your mobile number on here (!), but also just for your info, you need to take the 0 off the beginning and replace it with +44 'cause the 0 only works from within the UK! I hope you manage to get yourself a ticket for one of Joe's UK shows 'cause it'll be well worth it.....London would be easy for you to get to from Norfolk.
Satriella and dave121, I noticed that Geoff Tyson of T-Ride was missing from that list of Joe's students. After Vai, Tyson is, in my opinion, the most important one. His playing is top-notch and T-Ride's sound is unique.
