EXCELLENT new album, absolutely one of your best if not the best. Joe is numero uno.

HOWEVER!!!!!!!! I saw the April 19 Tower Theater show. IT SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Campetelli was great. I can only assume Joe was great. I couldn't hear a friggin' thing he played. He was almost completely drowned out by LaRue.

Whoever was responsible for the sound production at that show should have their hands cut off so they can't butcher another performance. I like to listen to Joe loud. It was meant to be......................but this was so ridiculously loud the music was unintelligible.

Joe, you are a perfectionist. I am amazed that you would allow a performance to be destroyed by such hacker sound engineering.

nowyout1............Did you honestly expect a reply? Has it occurred to you that he is on TOUR. Do you realize what is entailed in traveling from city to city every single night? Eating, Sleeping and going to the bathroom are time consuming enough..........then add sound checks, signing things, phone calls, interviews, handshakes, sex......well thats really important, and a host of other things that can consume a day that last time I checked has 24 hours in it. And then maybe it makes a bit more sense why Joe and the crew (who DO appreciate there bread and butter) can't find a moment to reply.
For me it was never a pre-requisite to liking Joe's music that he must reply to me if I email or post on his website. He owes me nothing except when it comes time to plucking down my moula on his work that it be the best he can offer PERIOD. He is not my idol anymore than Andre Agassi, James LeBron, MJ, Vai or anyone else that I enjoy listening or watching what they do. Joe means a lot to me but he owes me nothing in return, we have know contract. So give him a break on expecting a reply, it seems in my view to be expecting too much.

Morning of the Sixth. Can't wait to hit the Wiltern tonight. been up since the crack of dawn and the venue is only an hour away. Don't know what to do, but I am getting as close as possible to there and hanging out till the show. First time to see Joe and Eric. Looking forward to great things. Any G3 info would be cool. Love to go see them.

Joe, I don't write very often but I just had to say how much I love "Theme for a Strange World". That piece just takes me somewhere like no piece of music ever has! Each time I hear it, I go back to working on visualizing the perfect music video for it. I imagine "traveling" to some "strange world" but maybe not something physical in outer space, maybe someplace so strange it's beyond time, space, and matter. Maybe something out of a dream. The way the music is structured, I imagine going to multiple places, coming back to our reality a couple of times, but then going on to new "strange worlds". In the end, I don't know if I imagine waking up, arriving home, or ending up at the final "strange world" resting place. Thanks for sharing such inspiring music!

PS - We miss you in Minneapolis! You haven't been here on a solo tour in almost 4 years! Did we do something wrong?

DCSlater - Flip...my printer is playing up again...it is so rubbish...I just about got your picture so I will make a start today.

Cuthbert - Are you OK we haven't seen you in a while?

come in cuthbert you are our only hope! We have had three inkjet Epsom printers and they have all been rubbish...whats the best sort to get in your opinion? Here are some strange laws to make you laugh!

Starting with the US

Devon CT...It is unlawful to walk backwards after sunset!

State law....Pedestrians are not allowed to walk across the street on their hands...(What?...why pass that law?)

Colerado state law .... it is unlawful at a marriage to throw shoes at the bride and groom?

California - it is against the law to peel an orage in a hotel room

The shooting of game from a moving vehicle is an offence, unless the target is a whale!

City laws..

Baldwin Park - Bicycles must not be ridden in swimming pools!

Glendale - Horror films must only be shown on Mondays, tuesdays or Wednesdays

Hollywood - It is illegal to drive more than 2 thousand sheep down Hollywood boulevard at one time. (Like someone is gonna count!....Sir you have 2001 sheep...get off of the boulevard!)

Los Angeles - It is an offence to posess a hippo!

You cannot poke a turkey to see how tender it is!

San Francisco - Elephants are not allowed to stroll down Market Street unless they are on a lead.

It is illegal to wipe your car with underwear!

Florida state laws...

A woman may be fined for falling asleep under a hairdryer as can the salon owner!

When having sex only the missionary position is legal! and a husband must not kiss his wifes breasts

It is illegal to sing in a public place while wearing a swimsuit!

It is unlawful to hunt or kill deer while swimming

city laws...

Daytona Beach...rubbish bins must not be molested!

Tampa Bay -It is illegal to eat cottage cheese on sunday after 6pm

to be continued.........

toneseeker, look closely, you'll see that the metallic blue guitar and the transparent red one which Joe used on G3 Tokyo are both 7-strings! Definitely a custom guitar for JS, though I wish Ibanez would produce it, a JS7 would be knock-out!
Mahavishnu, I hear you on having Andy Timmons for G3! I reckon he should be on the nest G3 show that gets filmed for DVD, that'd be awesome!
aussieRGman, ooh thanks for the recommendation and link for drums on demand, what a cool site. I'll definitely be checking the free loop samples out when I get broadband, I've saved the url to my favourites so I won't forget it. Cheers mate!

Satriella _ I liked ur drawing style, you are a very talented man.I especially loved "hungry joe".Cuz there is a detail that i want to ask u.Joe's teeth are like a raptor's teeth in this picture.I think u really wanted to draw like this cuz u wanted people to see the main theme of this drawing, didn't u?Maybe i am wrong... You scan these pictures to the computer ha?Otherwise, drawing on computer must be very difficult. These pictures are really good stuff and must be in the "FanArtwork".Why aren't they over there?Keep going man!
