Well this is going to be strange...I am just off to a wedding....but a young lad known to all there died in a car crash last night...don't know about everyone else....but I am not in the mood to be happy.

Growler - You are so right - I never thought about it but Moss and Sapp HAVE been particularly anonymous since going to the Raiders. Even though Pittsburgh and Oakland have always hated one another as teams I like the Raiders! I BLEED black and gold but I royally respect the Raiders, Fins, Pack and the Cowboys. Dissing any of them is totally wrong. Owens on the star - pffff - now he WEARS the star. HE should be a raider. Moss and Owens? Geez. We'd have voice highlights as well as game highlights wouldn't we? The silver and black have always been cool cuz they give up on nobody until they must. They bring in another man's junk and make it their treasure. So many times a guy's career is written off and Al Davis - and you're right with that mafioso implication (I think so anyway) - SEES that as an opportunity. Opportunities are like GOLD.

Really, all of us could take a lesson from that. Being "on stage" no matter what it is, really is an opportunity; it's money; it's gold, and more than anything, it's a perfect chance to shine. Instead of going "holy shit, now I finally got here, now what?" it's better to look at it as "this is my chance to show how WELL I can do" (forsaking all negativity) I used to throw discus and shot put and played football and now I love playing guitar for people. In all instances I just deal with pressure exactly as such.

So nobody except Growler commented about the popularity / fame hurdle Joe still faces. It sucks but people have no clue who he is. Even national news reporters, as I showed yesterday have no idea who Joe is.
