Even More - All sorts of things

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Three friends from the local congregation were asked, "When you're in your casket, and friends and congregation members are mourning over you, what would you like them to say?"

Artie said: "I would like them to say I was a wonderful husband, a fine spiritual leader, and a great family man."

Eugene commented, "I would like them to say I was a wonderful teacher and servant of God who made a huge difference in people's lives."

Al said: "I'd like them to say, "Look, he's moving!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------

John was on his deathbed and gasped pitifully. "Give me one last request, dear," he said.

"Of course, John," his wife said softly.

"Six months after I die," he said, "I want you to marry Bob."

"But I thought you hated Bob," she said.

With his last breath John said, "I do!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------

A man goes to see the Rabbi. "Rabbi, something terrible is happening and I have to talk to you about it."

The Rabbi asked, "What's wrong?"

The man replied, "My wife is poisoning me."

The Rabbi, very surprised by this, asks, "How can that be?"

The man then pleads, "I'm telling you, I'm certain she's poisoning me, what should I do?"

The Rabbi then offers, "Tell you what. Let me talk to her, I'll see what I can find out and I'll let you know."

A week later the Rabbi calls the man and says, "Well, I spoke to your wife. I spoke to her on the phone for three hours. You want my advice?"

The man said yes and the Rabbi! replied, "Take the poison."

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Smith climbs to the top of Mt. Sinai to get close enough to talk to God.

Looking up, he asks the Lord... "God, what does a million years mean to you?"

The Lord replies, "A minute."

Smith asks, "And what does a million dollars mean to you?"

The Lord replies, "A penny."

Smith asks, "Can I have a penny?"

The Lord replies, "In a minute."

-------------------------------------------------------------------

A man goes to a shrink and says, "Doctor, my young, beautiful, sexy wife is unfaithful to me. Every evening, she goes to Larry's bar and picks up men. In fact, she sleeps with anybody who asks her! I'm going crazy! What do you think I should do?"

"Relax," says the Doctor, "take a deep breath and calm down. Now, tell me, exactly where is Larry's bar?"

Dear President Bush:

I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this. I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws.

I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

3. All government forms need to be printed in English.

4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.

5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.

7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.

9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.

11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.

12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws.

13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico.

I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely. However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V.P.

Thank you so much for your kind help.

Sincerely,

American Joe

twenty years and Joe’s still goin’ strong. Joe’s music continues to amaze me even after I’ve heard his songs repeatedly…

on another note…

Barry Bonds is approaching history…that’s quite an accomplishment…but, he’ll always have an asterisk next to those records…same as Mark Mcguire, Sammy Sosa and many others…

Good Morning Satchland...... How R U Today?

Lone Rocker.....Your timing talking about Carvin is prefect. I don't know if you saw my posts with 962. We were discussing the same things you were talking about. I'm very much interested in Carvin. I holdin' out to play a JS1000 or 1200 thats set up right. The set up on these guitars at local music stores are crap. I need to play on one thats right before I try Carvin. I've heard great things about Carvin and any owner swears by them. I also use line 6. I play through a Pod Pro with the 412st bottom and a floorboard. I going to upgrade to the XT Pro but I'm getting the guitar first. How's the Carvin neck to the JS? What's the differences? I'm looking for a fast easy playing neck. Aren't we all? ...lol.... Thanks

OCPS470..... No prob. Love your playing and music.

Zen.....I'll see what works. If I get to boring I'll cut the time back....lol....

Satriella..... Thank you. Hugs.

Growler..... On the I'm Going Down thang. Did you see the recent post with the link to "You Tube" on SRV and Beck doing that song? It was awesome. I may be bias but I attended the G3 in Chicago when Joe,Vai, and Johnson played it and I would say I liked that version better. All three "Unleashed The Fury" as Yngwie would say. IMHO.

Cheese....How ya feelin'? Hope better and even better for Joe's show. Hugs

Have GRReat Day Everyone ! ! ! !

Hi Joe,

Just saw your show in San Diego - I was up front at the KGB studios for your meet and greet, and you signed my guitar. Thank you SO much again. I will retire and treasure it my whole life.

What a great show! I was so pleased that you played 9 songs off Super Colosal. The new ending to Always was killer. You were feeling it big time, and so were we.

I was hoping you could answer a question that I forgot to ask at the greet - What are the ten words?

Thanks for the joy you bring into my life!

joeyjoejoe.....Welcome to the site. Well I obviously can't answer your question about "Ten Words". I don't really no the answer. But I did some research for ya. If you have iTunes( I strongly suggest you get it) You can download all of Joe's Podcasts for 'Super Colossal " In the Podcasts Joe explains the meaning behind each song. Joe explains the meaning behind "Ten Words" is up to you. Thats the mystery. So the Ten Words is what ever you want it to be. I hope this helps. Congrats on your signed guitar. I gotta get me one of those....lol.....

Hey. I read in the recent Guitarist mag that you recommend the electro harmonix POG fx pedal. I love the sound from Super Colossal, and I just wanted to make sure it was the EHX POG you ised rather than the BOSS octaver I have seen you use as a live piece of kit. I know i could try out both from guitar shops, but none near me have EHX gear in them. Sacriligious I know, but what am I to do? Well done on the 20 years of awesome music - Don't ever stop. It's your CD releases I look forward to. Something new every time. Bloody amazing!
Yours, Chris

GROWLER: One of my favorite memories.. Jeff Beck and SRV! First concert I took my (now) wife to. No tickets.. just hung out in front and got a couple from a guy who had extras... 2nd row dead center!

Going Down? SRV was singing so he let Jeff take it at first, amazing playing... more sounds than any one guitar should be allowed to make.. Stevie? smoked! Back and forth... pick one? Can't! Went out and bought a Strat the next day, put the 335 away, didn't touch it for years.

I would be loath to say either was "better" than the other, different for sure. Read here where somebody thought SRV could be repetitive at times, have to agree, but Beck must have inspired him this night. All blues lines but WOW! SRV was actually the 1st act with Beck taking the headline role, might have inspired him to "prove it!"

To think Stevie died about a week later.. total shock, sadness, disbelief. The memory is awesome though and to be able to connect it to the G3 jam at the Wiltern (LA).. amazing... totaly different, much more technical with the G3 jam, but the feeling still blazed through.. you know if there is no feeling behind it..who cares?

I started as a bassist and still do gigs on the low end but mainly play the guitar now..

Take care Growler

ICEMAN II.............agreed on Satch. Barry Bonds and the others have an asterick** and they may be approaching history but cheating your way to the finish line isn't my kind of accomplishment. Joe did it with blood sweat and tears and has no asterick, surely he is hall of fame worthy 10 years ago. He could give Barry a few lessons on how to treat your fans and like it or not the many kids who idolize these losers could benefit from knowing Joe, Vai and a host of other entertainers etc that do things the honorable way. Many other baseball players have made history without cheating and lying on top of that. No free pass for them sorry. It may be history, but not the kind they can be proud of.
