As I recall, 3 of the F's came in the word OF

The other 3 are in full words.

Kansas setting minimum marriage age: 15

State has had no minimum if parents or court approved

TOPEKA, Kan. - Kansas may have seen the last of its child brides.

After a pregnant 14-year-old from Nebraska drove to Kansas last year to marry her 22-year-old boyfriend, now serving time for having sex with the minor, Kansas lawmakers decided it was time the set a minimum marriage age.

On Thursday, the Kansas House voted 119-0 to approve a bill that would prohibit anyone under the age of 15 from marrying in Kansas and would set strict limits for would-be brides or grooms under the age of 18. The Senate approved it a day earlier, 36-4.

I am trying to learn to use pinched harmonics. I can pick the harmonic but cant get it to sustain. I mean make it sing like Joe Satrinani and most accomplished players do. I know distortion and gain are major players in this. My question is, can I do this with the amp modeling software (pod) or is this more a wattage thing (as in, more is better) and if that’s the case, is that strictly tube amp territory or can I do this with an electronic amp? Thanks

Greetings from San Diego, Joe! You certainly have a lot of these to read these days, but hopefully you'll read this one and recall a conversation you had with a fan after the San Diego gig on May 4 regarding Bearsville Studios. I just would like to thank you for the time you spend with your fans after the shows you so majestically perform. I've been following you religiously (like so many of your fans) for over 15 years and have been screwed out of having the chance to meet you time and time again (scheduling conflicts, etc.), and my wish finally came true. I truly appreciate what a great guy you are and I thank you for your gift of music you give to all of us. Like so many of us, your discography represents somewhat of a chronology of my life. For example, I can pop in The Extremist and recall exactly what was going on in my life when that CD was released. I have Satch reference points going back a decade and a half! I can't say that for any other artist. Please keep the chronology going! Thanks again, and all the best to you, your family, and of course Jeff.

Not that I need anymore encouragement for the May 11 show at the Roseland, here's a small review of the upcoming show found in the local paper A&E section.

"Chops that can make guitar geeks drool can just as easily bore the rest of us into the ground. But not from these exemplary ax slingers, who bring to bear as much taste, restraint, imagination and tunefulness as they do technique. Instrumental Rock at it Finest." I agree

due to special circumstances, the etix folks have a few extra tickets (regular ones, not premium) for the san francisco show available. they are the same standard $39.50 (plus service fee) and you can pick 'em up over at their ticketing site: http://event.etix.com/ticket/online/viewTour.jsp?group_id=15&cobrand=satriani

and hey, if you haven't checked the photos that jeff campitelli has been uploading from the road, go do so today! http://www.satriani.com/perl/2004/photos?dir=2006-04_tour&area=gallery

donnie_darko, thanks a lot for checking out Blossom and Silver Rain, I appreciate your feedback and kind remarks! Of the stuff that's on my soundclick page, the two you've heard plus Kyoto Dream are the only ones I'm really happy with, I wouldn't bother listening to the rest unless you really want to! hehe

I use Cubase SX2 for all my recording, and I either use drum loops or write my own drum parts using individual drum samples. Blossom uses loops, while Silver Rain is a good example of a tune where I've written the entire drum track myself.

Also, hell yeah bro, The Forgotten (Part II) is such a beautiful tune, I wish Joe would put it on his live setlist! ;-)

CroNumber9, thanks a lot for checking out the new tune amigo! I really appreciate everyone's feedback, it's great to see all the comments about it!
Now playing: Eric Sardinas ~ Black Pearls. Damn I love this guy, what a cool sound, and what an admirable singing voice.....it's not fair! hehe

Hi joe. Im a 14 year old boy who just joined your site and i was wondering what the little kids say at the beggining of your song "Flying in a Blue Dream"? I can get most of what they say but in your g3 cd most of the audiences screaming blocks out the words. I was just curious. But other than the question i would like to say i love you music and i look up to you as a hero in certain ways. i dont play guitar but i drum and i hate the modern rock crap like green day and Linkin park. I was at your concert in Omaha at the Orphium theater too and i want to say that i have never seen anything that exiting in my life. Thank you.
