I received this one today . . .
Rumination of the Day
I ran out of soap in the shower this
morning, so I washed myself with shampoo.
It works well enough, but I have to say
I find the whole pubic-hair-alive-with-
bounce-and-body thing a little unsettling.
Hoping all have a great weekend.
Ok. Enough. Stop thinking about shampoo.

Hi Joe, it was great to meet you backstage here in Vancouver on May10th/2006. The show was brilliant however I wanted to ask you a few more questions but we ran out of time. I was the guy that asked you about your solo in Crushing Day and questions about improvisation. We also talked briefly about Hendrix.
Music to me is more than just a hobby and I have to say that your music has been with me growing up and in a way, it goes a long way in defining me as a person. I wanted to tell you that but I wanted to ask questions on improvisation and song writing so I didn't get a chance.
Is there love in space? has a very huge emotional effect on me because my wife and I are expecting our first little one in August and we got some potentially bad news and had to go to an all day hospital appointment. Anyways, I couldn't stop listening to Is there love in space? for 2 days prior to the appointment. This song (especially the solo) is so emotional and moving. On the way down to the hospital, a wave of emotion just washed over me and you know, I told my wife that everything is gonna be alright. Sure enough, we got great news and it looks like things will be OK afterall.
Not that the song had anything to do with it, however, the feeling of positive hope came directly from your amazing music. Next year, my wife is gonna come to the show and we will see you backstage again!!
Thanks Joe for your amazing, unbelievable, beautiful, inspirational music.
Cheers,
Lucky Bhangav.

Hey Joe,
My brother and I saw you at the Wiltern in LA 06MAY06 and you totally rocked!! We were Platinum ticket holders, saw the show, held the guitar--got the picture taken, but missed out on the meet & greet portion, so I just wanted to say, "great show and I can't wait to see the next one sometime soon!"

I saw you in Santa Rosa, CA in 1990. I was sitting in the front row center with my ex-boyfriend Eric Meyer. He had long wavy black hair, and I had long curly blonde hair.....I so remember your face, and it was the most incredible experience listening to your guitar music. Do you remember me?.....probably not.......

Why are you soooo sad Cheese101? I'm new here and I don't know what's going on. But I do know that it's 7:56 pm on Friday....so Joe Satriani must be getting ready to perform in Reno...I noticed that, and that tomarrow is the last day of his tour in SF at the Warfield....I'm about two hours from there. I just joined here yesterday...I saw him in 1990, I don't believe it....I think it was a private show...I don't really remember, but I remember the show, and him of course....hmm...someone was mentioning Joe Satriani the other day....oh I remember now, it was about a version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow...someone had a file of it that he had performed? ...so I thought of him and came over here.

Hope you have a good time at the San Fran show......

Thank you Joe, I just got back from seeing the Portland show! I hope you're not offended by the analogy, but when I watch you play it feels like when I'm playing with my puppy, he is so excited and jumping up and down and so......ecstatic! And that's the feeling I get from you as you are doing what you do and we as audience members are trying too show you how much we appreciate you. Thank you again for a night I will not forget.

Rumour has it that Bumblefoot is now the new guitarist for Guns and Roses.
.Being that he is my current favorite musician, I am happy for him.I detest guns, but if this gets him the exposure he deserves, than I am all for it.

Axl n' Roses is unfolding minute by minute in NYC RIGHT NOW!
The following pieces are being stolen from the World Famous Metal Sludge Gossip Boards, and other various message boards from Gn'R sites on the internet.
Special thanks to the Sludgeaholics for bringng the updates from the various GnR boards. You guys kisk ass! Meaning: cheriebomb, Beddie Wedder, eonblue, Demonfilth2001, drops_of_jupiter, Axlcorey for the cool Avatar pic, jnn, & of course you too!
9:11 p.m. - "Bullet For My Valentine just started. They’ll make GnR sound that much better."
Sebastian Bach is there too. Couple of famous faces there too.
9:24 p.m. - "Stage Design: Red arcs angling outward on sides of stage. Vertical GNR banners with new chinese font and graphics - MUCH improved from the ’02 look. Cream colored with black or dark brown font. Great t-shirts as well. All graphics are substantially better than 2002."
edit: BFMV were greeted with some boos.
So...according to the guns site @ 9:54 they started changing the stage for Guns...
Someone reported that Izzy was there on HTGTH (as in at the venue, dunno if he's playing or not).
10:32 EST Teen Spirit on PA - Roadies checking stage Bring the Noise just came on PA
10:51 EST Axl is refusing to go onstage until people stop text messaging.
actually the update is ( I swear ) 10:51 EST Beers placed on amps
10:59 EST House lights down
Welcome Back to the Jungle! - 11:02 EST First song is "Welcome to the Jungle"
PEOPLE ARE LOSING THEIR FUCKING MINDS!
The guitar mystery? - 11:04 EST Looks like Bumble Not sure?
11:07 EST It so easy sounds amazing
11:11 EST Mr Brownstone
Doesn't get Better Than this! 11:13 EST Now playing Better!
Anyone care to find out what kind of gear they're using? Here you go:
Brain's Drums are red with a single kick with the new GNR logo. Richard's guitars consist of one white, gold top and black Les Paul, one yellow double cutaway Junior, one James Trussart Les Paul, one white James Trussart Tele, one Gibson J-200 acousitc (for Patience), one white Fernandez Les Paul, one 335 and one Godin. He's using two Deizel VH4S amps and a vintage Marshall hydrid 100 watt. He's running two Bradshaw RS10 switchers (one for him and one in guitar world) and does not switch himself but has the tech switch every cue, EVERY SONG, EVERY SOLO...some songs in the set have six switch's in the same song. He's using Sennheiser SK500G2 wireless on the guitars, looped into four channels in the rig and Shure In-Ears for the entire band.Tommy Stinson uses a white P-Bass with a tortoise pick guard exclusively. Robin (50-50 chance you may not see him in the band)uses all Les Pauls of all colors. The other "new guy" uses one '59 Les Paul reissue and a funky custom strat with an aluminum fretboard. Dizzy is lives next to Brain (stage right), the other keyboardist lives on Brains left (stage left). Axl downstage middle, Stinson to Axl's left with Robin (or whoever may they may have) outside stage left. Richard’s next to Axl's right and the "new guy" outside stage right. Axle has two Sony 20" teleprompters downstage in front.
A post on the Limp Bizkit Myspace blog says the following from Fred Durst:
I am going to see Axl Rose play Hammerstein Ballroom in New York this weekend. I am kind fo psyched. I may get to meet him. dope!!

Back to the gig:
Looks like the guitarist is some guy named Bumblefoot. Not Buckethead, or Bigfoot, not Bumblebee or Fumbledick, but BUMBLEFOOT!
Sounds like a weird disease that joggers get. Oh well.
All signs were pointing to Bumblefoot already. On his website just recently he cancelled all his dates that conflict with GNR's tour and put up a message to not speculate as you'd find out why soon. He was the guy who said he auditioned a while back then got some heat from management for it. He's one of the better shredders around today name/image aside....
ETC

I apologies if this has been posted already.
I guess I exceed the limit, so I did 2 posts and cut some spaces, and the bio on bbFoot.

ethn Very Happy for Ron!
now we have to see him get too popular ..just like what happened with Buckethead..
its real frustrating . to hear some guy say "slash is way better than that guy!" we know better..
if you gotta replace buckethead .. Ron is the only choice.

Hello Joe!:)
The Crowd Chant from your new album is really fantastic! I have been learning how to play it recently, but all the tabs in the internet seem to be incorrect. I'm wondering if you could make some correct tabs available on your website. See you in Wroc³aw:)
