I know you've it so many times but that was such a good show at SAN DIEGO! My buddy and i were all overCrowd Chant! SO GOOD! I still can't believe how i LUCKED OUT to MEET YOU after the show! Its too bad i was too shookin up to really say anything.

My buddy had to sit outside the venue and wait. I felt so bad so i gave him YOUR PICK that i got from your ROADIE. But it was awsome meeting you.

The first song i heard of you was "CRUSHING DAY" and i was 9 YEARS OLD and i thought you're music was so insane! Is it true that you are SELF TAUGHT?

YO you should have busted out your FLAME GUITAR for "The MYSTICAL POTATO HEAD GROOVE THING" haha it was way sweet anyway. That song has such a sweet melody. How long did it take you to get that muting/tapping part down?

I know you get sent A TON of messages so i'll be way lucky and happy if you're able to read this. PEACE -Byron

Hey again- How do you get such a sweet high pitch harmonic sound when you're using the wammy bar? are you picking it with your guitar pick?

what was your first guitar? And how did you get hooked up to start getting customized guitars

how did Steve Vai and Kirk Hammet get hooked up with lessons from you? Did they start from scratch?

how about i get a lesson??? hahaha worth a shot to ask eh
how old were you when you started playing guitar?

Suzie, aww thanks for checking out Blossom, it's great to hear you're really enjoying it! Please can you re-post your soundclick link - I was going to download your mp3 yesterday but couldn't 'cause it takes 24 hours to clear before an mp3 is downloadable! :-D
GROWLER, thanks for checking out the new tune bro, and thanks for your good feedback! Yeah I can definitely dig something funky, the main drum loop I used for Blossom was one called "hip-hop", haha, and the filtered one for the other parts was called "funky" I think. Anyway, I love breakbeats.....check out the FAT breakbeat on Joe's Hill Groove! Awesome!
Satriella, "ssshh don't tell anyone"...hehe that's hilarious!

Hello!!! WOw!! Just came back from Joe's concert at the Wiltern in Los Angeles!!!! Eric Johnson is amazing!! Then came Joe. OH MY God!!!! Joes plays better everyday!!!!!!!! I just cant believe how much emotion comes out of that guitar when he plays it. It was unbelievable. Then, believe it or not, Joe did Crowd Chant, that rocked the house. So Joe says, are ready for a jam? So everybody thought, "Well Eric Johnson will play a song or two. So Joe says this is like G3 but with a guitar player missing. So He says, "Please welcome...on guitar Mr. Steve Vai!" The whole place went nuts!!! They did, Going Down, and Red House, I can not believe we got to see Eric Johnsons, Joe Satriani, and then a little taste of the original G3. The concert started at 8 pm sharp finished at midnight almost. It was overwhelming. I have to say it again....Joe is an amazing composer, and performer. Great show!!!!!!!!!

[b]Hey Joe, I'm really hyped for seeing you on tour, you're paying us a visit in St. Davids Hall, Cardiff. Really looking forward to such a kickass gig, especially as we've got such kickass seats, practically at the front. This is probably pushing my luck, but try n keep your eyes open for me, I've got a bit of a white-boy afro, and I'll be brandishing some of your signature pics that I'll be wanting you to play with so I can frame them. Creepy? You could say that, I'd call it dedicated. See you soon, hope you play The Mystical Potatohead Groove Thing. Jon Treasure. (Yes my second name is Treasure)[b/]

Zen:Just read about your compression dilemma, I,ve never tried all the comp pedals so i cant comment, but the Boss CS3 works well if the level setting is around 3-4, after that it sucks.I use level 3, tone 6, attack 6, sustain 10.I use the pedal as a way to boost the pickup output signal for high B & E strings because i have the pickups set really low.String-P/up 20mm from the high E to 28mm at E low for note definition.I have an HSH config as y know, Seymour Jeff Beck humbucks & a Quarter pound single coil centre but i believe you have opted for the new Roland GK most of the time?

The Roland VG-88, like the Boss GT-6/8/pro has the same system setup idea as the old rack Digitech multi fxs, what i mean by that is you can place your pedal config as you want & save to your user bank/patch but because it works along with the GK pickup as opposed to norm pickups, it may be of worth for you to check it out & would save you the headfuck of what looks to me from your fxs pedal photos, like a toe tappin nightmare, lol, next time you visit here, i,ll give ya a lil tour guide round the system if yer interested that is, i,ve got it fairly sussed at this stage. It also reponds better to semi-acoustic guitars with Martin strings!!

tell em like it is Lemmy

Ace Of Spades

If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man, You win some, lose some, all the same to me, The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say, I don't share your greed, the only card I need is The Ace Of Spades

Playing for the high one, dancing with the devil, Going with the flow, it's all the same to me, Seven or Eleven, snake eyes watching you, Double up or quit, double stake or split, The Ace Of Spades

You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools, But that's the way I like it baby, I don't wanna live for ever, And don't forget the joker!

Pushing up the ante, I know you wanna see me, Read 'em and weep, the dead man's hand again, I see it in your eyes, take one look and die, The only thing you see, you know it's gonna be, The Ace Of Spades

Saw the LA show last night.

Eric Johnson warmed up. Amazing player, seemed a little off, but what a talent. Highlight was his solo piece leading into Cliffs of Dover, totally on fire.

Joe..... Amazing, as always. Band sounded great, can hear how much tighter since the Wet LA CD release party. LOTS of old stuff, was kind of getting antsy that they weren’t going to play any new stuff and then they nailed most of Super Colossal. Joe's pedal did the SAME thing it did at the West LA gig. I thought "OK he is doing that on purpose". No, Joe said the pedal only did that twice the entire tour, both times in LA!

Encore: great crowd chant, awesome jam. Brought back Eric and Steve Vai came out. We knew the whole night Vai was in the house, his Ibanez was off stage.. gee, who plays the guitar with the funny "grip handle"? They played "I'm going down" which is the same song we saw Jeff Beck and SRV jam on two nights before SRV's accident. Great memories .. seeing now 5 of the all time great rip it up on this warhorse. Eric broke out some blues and everybody smoked. Great great show!

Aftershow (courtesy of THIS WEBSITE... THANKS ALL!!!).. awesome! Jeff came back and chatted like he just had nothing better to do than talk to a fan about delay lines and drum monitors..awesome, Dave LaRue chatted with us about his amps and being in this great group and then Joe came in, everybody else was gone, we got pictures, got old pictures signed. I figured he was tired and would want to go right away. I think he would have stayed all night! Thanks Joe, an amazing player and a person! We talked old shows, guitars, kids.... everything. Could we have found more to talk about? Sure, but the guy has a bus ride up to San Francisco to look forward to... I was very pleased he chatted as long as he did... THANKS JOE...More than your music.. you...WOW!

Hi joe. Im a 14 year old boy who just joined your site and i was wondering what the little kids say at the beggining of your song "Flying in a Blue Dream"? I can get most of what they say but in your g3 cd most of the audiences screaming blocks out the words. I was just curious. But other than the question i would like to say i love you music and i look up to you as a hero in certain ways. i dont play guitar but i drum and i hate the modern rock crap like green day and Linkin park. I was at your concert in Omaha at the Orphium theater too and i want to say that i have never seen anything that exiting in my life. Thank you.

Matt - plans are in the works. I took a job here hauling fertilizer to the area farmers. Good money , 80 + hours a week. Will be done working early june and can set things in motion. I wish I could be there to see JOE but not this time. Bummer!

962- G3 DVD with ANDY TIMMONS , excellent idea!!

Bugie Lou - Thanks , I did not know Cry For You was his signature song. His new CD RESOLUTION is fantastic. The first song I heard him play live off the new album was track 1 Deliver Us , needless to say He has a new fan now!!

Go to Favored Nations and buy one.....you could win his guitar and amp setup.
