AND who won the "Be Joe's Roadie For a Day" contest?

And who won "Joe's Rig"??

Suzie...thanks for your good wishes...Chris actually took the disappointment much better than I did...he was mainly just worried about me and that I'd be alright....kinda scared him. But he handled it all well and is being pretty philosophical about the whole thing, saying there will be other shows. Of course he's right, but I want to stomp my feet and cry that we missed THESE shows!! Lol.....well, sorta....I'm just really sad this had to happen when it did and keep us from seeing Joe.

And Scott...thanks to u 2, I appreciate those bigfoot hugs whenever I can get them! :D

WELCOME HOME CHELLY BELLY!!! We've all MISSED U!!! :)

And thanks also to Mike, Mick, Jose, Barry, Rick, the road crew and Mr. bus driver, all who work to make things run smoothly so these guys can go out there and make people incredibly happy... :)

hey! just a quick thanks to the folks who got me my fine webmaster mug-- maybe i'll start drinking my mornin chai in it-- if it doesn't freak me out too much looking at my 1980 self! nothing quite like joe looking out at a crowd of thousands of people holding up those Joe faces at the show the other night-- that's definitely footage for the bonus part of the next DVD :}

satriella-- "reproduce it" just means can you make it happen again? if so, email me details of what you do to make it happen and then i'll follow those steps and if it happens for me too, i can fix it.

also, congrats to the winner of the amazing super colossal guitar, John Sobczak from Kingston, NH! you'll be hearing from mick soon, you lucky dog!

although the night was a bit crazy, it's always good to bump into a few of y'all in person. i saw mari for about 10 seconds and by the time i made it back she was gone. everyone enjoy the break while the guys get ready to take on europe by storm! i'm going to try and use that downtime to get some photos up from the last shows :}

alexandre, hey amigo! Yeah I'm ok thanks, looking forward to seeing Joe, and enjoying his and Andy Timmons' new albums.

That's great to hear you're getting to see Joe closer to home, that's very good news! Also, thanks for checking out my new tune bro, and thanks for your kind remarks! Rock on dude!

schubie59, yeah Joe and his crew really are busy! Also, although I understand the feeling, I have to point out that Joe won't be making any money out of the Ibanez guitars and DiMarzio Pickups and Peavey amps and Planet Waves straps that have his name on, I mean none at all, not a dime.

So to him it doesn't matter that there's people who play all his gear, what matters more is that there's people buying his records and even more than that, going to his shows.

I know it's difficult not to feel like you're getting a rough deal when you've bought all the stuff, but you have to try and see it from his point of view.

Powerslave, just saw what you wrote to alexandre about the Grand Prix/wanting to go to Spain - I can thoroughly recommend it dude. Go to Bareclona, it's an awesome place!

No I've not tried a noise suppressor but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't make any difference....it's not noise, it's signal!

It's not a problem, I can easily play round it, it's just kind of interesting! The more tedious thing is the squeeky spring in my wah pedal....I've been meaning to oil it for 3 years! haha

ovation1, re. Simon Phillips with Andy Timmons, you might consider checking Andy's website (and Simon's for that matter) to make sure Andy does appear on one of his records.......I'm pretty sure that he does on at least one song - Jungleyes, from the Ibanez 90th anniversary show - but I don't know about anything beyond that.

Phillips' wrote and played on "Astral Fishing" on Andy's The Spoken And The Unspoken album, it's one of my favourite tunes of all time, it's got the coolest groove!

Mahavishnu, I've spent the last 3 or 4 days playing either Super Colossal or Resolution and every time I've thought Andy's album has got it nailed.

Track-to-track it's more memorable and there's plenty or phrases and licks and expressions in it that make my ears prick up and keep me from concentrating on anything else.

There's some fabulous tracks on Joe's record and I really, really like it, but Andy just took yet another step up.....there is not a single low-point in his catalog, which I find quite incredible.

Also, awww, I really wish I'd have seen his clinic! I'm going to have to make a pilgrimage at some point and see him play a show!

webmaster Jon, thanks for keeping the cogs turning dude. So, it's kind of weird, huh, having your mug on a mug?! hehe

A LIFE AND DEATH DECISION

While watching a football game a couple weeks back, my wife and I were discussing life and death.

I told her, "Just so you know, I never want to live in a vegetative state, dependent on some machine and fluids from a bottle. If that ever happens, just pull the plug."

She promptly got up, unplugged the TV and threw out all my beer.

Some days I hate being married to a smartass!

The Haircut

A young boy had just gotten his driver's permit andenquired of his father, if they could discuss his use of the car. His father said, "I'll make a deal with you.

You bring your grades up from a C to a B average, study your Bible a little, get your hair cut and we'll talk about the car."

Well, the boy thought about that for a moment, and settled for the offer, and they agreed on it. After about six weeks they went in to the study, where his father said, "Son, I've been real proud. You've brought your grades up, and I've observed that you have been studying your Bible, and participating a lot more in the Bible study groups. But, I'm real disappointed, since you haven't gotten your hair cut."

The young man paused a moment, and then said, "You know, Dad, I've been thinking about that, and I've noticed in my studies of the Bible that Samson had long hair, John the Baptist had long hair, Moses had long hair & Jesus had long hair.

His Father replied: Did you notice they all walked everywhere they went?
