joe,
hi im trying to kickstart my solo career as a bassist and i have a million questions id like to ask you, having been there done that and sold the t-shirts. i can't express how ignorant I feel by asking you this one, but I feel it's justification is implied in one way or another.
Is it in the ballpark for you to maybe check out my work and see if its good enough to spread the word? I know you must be a very busy man who charishes his free time as anyone would and I don't expect anything of course.
I'm losing hope in the music industry with all of the garbage they want to make a contract; and asking this of you makes me seem quite....i can't think of any other word than "lost"... especially.
Thank you for your very precious time.
alex

Satriella, thank you for listening!! I just play the guitar and do very-average backing vocals when we play live!! Declan Sharma (our singer) does all recorded vox duties!! Am seeing Joe in Birmingham...will be my 14th time! There used to be a character on the FAST SHOW that said, 'You ain't seen me-right?!', and in one episode, he said, 'Oy you cocker chompies'....I got the Chompy thing from that....er...if that makes any sense!??
ptrocker, thank you very much too!! The beginning of the song is a bit of an overture, hebce all the chops and changes, as the song is the start of a gigantic rock opera thing. The wah wah is a Boss V-wah emulating a Cry-Baby?!?! In this band I have played CRUSH OF LOVE, ALWAYS WITH ME, ALWAYS WITH YOU, and CIRCLES as part of our live set. I LOVE JOE SATRIANI!!

Hey Joe......never really much had a pc till this year when my life monumentally changed.........now i have every forum available to see and hear your product from so many levels....i actually own nearly everything that you have ever done (like most of us "Satrifiles".....can i copyright that?)....basically i just came to see what you are all about...(.genius aside).....and beg beg beg for the request that you get certainly hundreds or thousands of times a year....."is there any chance of you coming to my area in the near distant future??????????..
I saw you on the flying in a blue dream tour in Saskatoon , Saskatchewan, in the 90's with Paul Lane as an opener and wondered if and how , you would EVER TOP the musical perfection that I feel that you had created up until that point in your career.
Funnily enough...i only got the tickets from a guy that had tried in vain to get me hooked on Slayer and the Hanneman/King duo.
I had always loved Alex Lifeson of Rush and Jimmy Page of Zep for their pioneering in the guitaric arts and tried my best to emulate them whenever possible.........
Then came Mr Satriani.
I thought i had witnessed so much as far as the Guitar was concerned until that point.....Steve Morse(who i STILL worship till this very day), Tom Scholz....for the Rockman among other things.....And Steve Vai....how funny that i never really knew who you were till i was informed that Steve WAS indeed a student of yours.
To make a long story short(like you 've never heard that one posted yet here...lol)......the influence that you have on my life , Mr.Satriani( and that's the only thing that i feel appropriate to say to you....Mr ...Sir etc).....\
You have made such a profound difference in my life that i have hereby transfered all my worldly media into the hands of my sons...aged 5 and 7...for the keeping for as long as they live....i have ingrained all that is good about you into them and your legacy is truly safe with the Donald Family....i.e......when i ask them what is to be played in the car ,....they ALWAYS say............................JOE............. all the best from Canada(can you come to Calgary pretty soon? please?????????)........BD

962: Yeah, the JSX did a nice job. If you lay any classic keyboard sounds on any of your tracks, you ought to try running them through your Legacy's clean channel and getting it to break up a little. When I did this type of thing on this track, it seemed way closer to a real organ sound compared to running our keyboardist's Korg CX organ module straight into the PC.

FISH BOY I love it. Your so easy to rattle. Just like a snake. Bye the way old chap what the hell is this bus boy or bell boy thing. Is this your actual line of work carrying around dead weight? I think most of the dead weight is between your ears you stuck up brit! You really dont know shit do you? But you think you do. You can threaten me all you want but your just a post on my computer terminal jerk, nothing more. Just like a zit on my ass. I pick the posts that turn into people and encouragement, your just a big bore to me. The few band members you said you blew, I mean knew are all has beens of the 80's blow boy. They dont mean squat to me or anybody else. So just remain on your hands and knees and do what you do best with the boys FISHBOY. At least I have a band. Now run along and go to your room. You need a good dose of sedatives and hard liquor to dull the pain BOY. Having a GREAT TIME, thanks FISHY!

Satriella- an unexpected job opportunity has come up (teaching secondary age kids with severe learning difficulties.) Loved the school when I went round yesterday... main problem is the closing date for me to resign from my current job is 31st May, and the Head hasn't officially advertised it yet, just told me it's coming up very soon...
Anybody please help : To go for it or not go for it? Would appreciate your cyber instincts........

Joe,
Super Colossal is love, depth and superb.
I enjoy all the tracks but Ten Words nearly makes me cry - if I had the gift to write it, then I would cry.
I nearly met you at the last London show, you just got out of the car and stood next to me (I will always regret it) but I had not got the balls to say Hi Joe.
Thanks for giving me so much pleasure over the years, I respect your gift, style and being for us.
