Hey Joe saw you in Seattle the other night, you were rocking man! Eric was kind of off and he butchered my fav. song of his (cliffs of dover) w/ impromptu shredding. He seemed kind of out of it and was turning away a lot. I hope he's OK.
Joe you were the essence of insanity. The intensity, precision, and energy you generate is mind-blowing, and it was such an awesome show, thanks so much!!!!!
Loved what you did w/ AWYAWM, Surfing w/ the alien, summer song, and Mystikal Potato were awesome too!
Loved your new stuff, will be picking it up tomorrow.

a long time ago when I first read, ‘The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe’, I remember that scene where the boy is greedily eating up all the turkish delight…
I always wondered what that was and what it tasted like. I think it’s hard to find in the states. I’ve never seen it. Not that many people know about it…

hi all,
This is chris, cheese's son.
She wanted me to let everyone know that we are not going to make it to the portland show today, the one where we had the special passes.
Cheese is very sick. She has thrown up 3 times, is extremely dizzy, and can hardly talk because of an awful sore throat,
She wanted me to let everyone know that was expecting us being there that she and I are very sorry.
Wish positive thoughts her way.
Thanks so much,
sincerely chris

Hi Joe,
My daughter and I had a great time at the Boca Raton, Fla show a few weeks ago. We really appreciated the opportunity you gave us with the platinum package. Going back stage and then meeting you has given us a memory we will always share. We love the drawing you made on my daughters guitar. Any info on when all the pictures will be sent to us?

Ahhh... giving myself a little break from prog. rock and metal. I've been trying hard at finishing Dream Theater's 'Erotomania' and 'Overture 1928' and a few others. Erotomania is one kick ass song, but one very tough song to figure out. Give it a try if you dare. I'm almost 1/2 way through it, holy crap!
So, taking alittle break from all the unbelievably technical stuff and working on a few Satch, Vai, Dave Weiner, and others. I'm pretty much done with Satch Boogie, started working on that last night, awesome song to play. Finishing Vai's 'The Audience Is Listening' tonight, I hope.
Almost forgot! I bought some cool VHS tapes from *somebody*! Steve Vai - Alien Love Secrets / JS - Satch Tapes / Dream Theater - Images & Words live in Tokyo / Dream Theater - 5 Years In A Livetime / Ibanez 7-strings.
I already have Satch tapes and the 2 DT DVD versions, but I got all for $12.50 shipped! The DT VHS has more footage than the DVD (stuff was cut on the DVD). Not gonna say who I got them from...clue - one of Steve Vai's guitarists, very cool guy. Oo0oO0oo! I haven't seen Vai's Alien Love Secrets yet, I've been wanting to, not very easy to find.

Hi joe,
I started learning to play guitar in january this year.
I have to say the you and steve vai are the biggest influencies in my music at this time, i remember hearing back to shalla bal for the first time in a sega mega cd advert.
I was just wondering if i could have your permission to make my own version of your surfing with the alien album. its my fav. i played midnight at a jam night last month, It was the first time i played in front of people!
obvioulsy i dont want to infringe any copyrights or make money or anything. But it would be cool if i could send you a finished version for you to listen to. and tell me what you think?
my email is Christopher@thorley4360.freeserve.co.uk
Thanks dude

(edit: Anyone trying this should keep in mind that you DO really need to be careful when it comes to stretching any muscles especially the ones in your playing arm/hand. MASSAGE your arm before to make it flexable to avoid possible injury. Thanks for being careful! Sorry K once again :( )
If it feels weird you should stop for a while and warm back up again. In between it's good to give your arm a massage. The part between your wrist and elbow.
Also you should try stretching your hand backwards...like this:
1. Straighten your hand and hold your arm upright from the elbow up (KEEP IT RELAXED!!! I CAN NOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!!),
2. (remember to keep it relaxed) Now pull your hand backwards slowly with your other hand, bending it at the wrist. Feel it stretching? Feels good? :) IF YOU FEEL ANY PAIN STOP IMMEDIATELY!!! This should not be painful!!!
3. Now grab hold of your playing hand thumb!!! In the same way pull it backwards until you feel a slight stretch!!!
4. Massage the arm again and repeat if you like it. Then warm back up again.
I heard this is a warm up routine practiced by John Petrucci of Dream Theater. I do it between every exercise I do and it really works. Makes me feel like a pro haha... like a pro athlete.. haha. Try it but remember:
DON'T HURT YOURSELF! DON'T OVERSTRETCH! IF YOU FEEL ANY PAIN S.T.O.P. IMMEDIATELY!!!
Hope this helps! Be careful!
