Hey Joe,

Care to share the ten words you were thinking of when creating your beautiful song??? Do these words change over time in your mind? Such a sweet song...when I listen to it, it frames my thinking and helps define the journey that is life....putting my thoughts in ten words at a time....exquisite!

Mr. J. Satriani

I was listening to an old song 'Big in Japan' by Alphaville, after which I realised that the riff for 'crowd chant' is so much similar to the chord pattern in the abovementioned song! ... is it ok to have such similar patterns? The pattern I noted was: D#m, A#,C#,Am,A#,G#,Am

How can you be approached if we wanted to invite you over to South Asian Region? .... Can I get some info about it from someone looking after this?

Najeem

Long, LONG, LONG TIME FAN HERE. Hey Joe, how the hell are you doing this evening? I'm a former Doug Doppler student and I met you many times over the years by way of after show persistance, and through Doug once or twice as well as radio show winner tickets back in the time machine tour days. That was the record industry only release party in SF. Anywho, you are the best and hopefully I will be able to get yet one more autograph this saturday evening! You've always been so cool about that when people wait till after the show to say hi and get autographs, but now you guys are selling the high dollar tickets which specialize in getting back stage etc. so I was wondering if an ultimate fan like myself will still be able to say hi, or get an autograph? I've always been THE FIRST FAN IN LINE when I go, and it would really be great if that was still possible. ] I met you backstage at the first G3 with Eric, you, and Steve, courtesy of Doug Doppler, and I was the guy who threw those big top hats that you guys wore on stage from the warfield show way back which you have the pics on your site from. It says "Joe with a fans hat" The red and black striped joker hat. Anyway I know that you are busy, but hey, maybe you're taking a break and reading this! ha, sure! Anyway, I WILL BE THE FIRST GUY IN LINE AS USUAL, SO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SAY HI TO YOUR BIGGEST OLD TIME FAN FROM THE BAY AREA, TONY LYBRAND, AKA Anton Shred.

Thanks and take care Mr. Satriani. Anthony Lybrand

Joe, I realize your on tour and all and a response may not be forthcoming any time soon, if at all, but anyways I gotta ask: I've saved my pennies and was looking to purchase a guitar similar to the Mohog--beautiful axe--but I can't seem to locate a reasonable facsimile at any local Guitar Center or Sam Ash, or even on-line. Anyways, any input by you or one of your staff on where to locate one just like that would be dearly appreciated. Thanks for putting out such great tunes. l8r.

Hi all!,

I'm new here and hoping I could get some advice from the experienced guitar players. I've been playing classical guitar for quite some time but have recently decided to try my hand at electric. Not nearly as easy a transition as I thought it would be. Any advice on types of strings, picks or practice material that may make it go a little smoother for me?

Thanks, all, Scott

Joe, Mr. Satriani, Guitar Hero, All of hte above!! I have been listening to your music(massive under statement) since I first expierienced your G3 live show in Concord Ca. Actually even before that show. I first heard your music on a Sony commercial. I believe the show I,m refering to was the first G3 show in 96'. Ever since after seeing you many times live I am still in awe. I grew up in Dublin, Ireland in the 70s and 80s listening to guitar virtuosos (ignore spelling errors!) like Gary Moore, Brian Robertson, Scott Gorham(Thin Lizzy) Rory Gallagher, Dave Meineketti(Y&T), Eddie VanHalen, Vai, Hendrix etc..etc.. I was at the Vegas show and of course left speechless! I've played guitar on and off for about 22 years, unfortunately in my late teens I shattered my left hand in a sporting accident. I still play above average and will nevr put the axe down. So all i'm trying to say is thank you Maestro for all the magical hours of listening expierence.

P.S. Don't want to sound tacky, put how about selling some t-shirts on line?

Well Satchlanders....today is gonna be a bit strange for me....not 4 weddings and a funeral...just 1 wedding and a funeral...kind of....

I feel kind of special though coz only those with a special invitation can go to the crematorium coz it doesn't hold very many...they are expecting about 400 at the hall beforehand...anyway I got an invite....aw poor Justyn...18 is no age to go...just seems like yesterday that he was here for sleepovers with my son....I have a sweet picture of him when he was about 8 curled up in a dog basket coz he wanted a dog but his parents couldn't let him have one at the time so he pretended to be one....poor little Justyn...

Anywayz that's at 12.30 in one big town but then I have to get my son to another big town about 30 miles away by 2.00 for the wedding, which seems easy but I haven't got the address & only rough directions on how to get there and its gonna be dinner hours rush in town....I don't think we gonna make it...although the limo doesn't leave till 2.30 so that gives us a little more time...he may have to jump out of one car into another but hey supporting Justyn's family is more important anyway!

CroNumber9 - thanks for the blues, ygnwie was great and wow a young Matt Guitar Murphy...only ever seen him in The Blues Brothers before...fantastic stuff....Oh if you say something is a sinch it means its really easy to do...

Donnie Darko - thanks for the explanation on Lokum...I will remember not to offer any Turkish men Turkish delight!

Well best get ready....see you later guys!

Hugs Satriella xx

Ovation: yeah man, crazy stuff! They had to drill a whole new hole to get to them since it was too dangerous to clear out the original one. At least they managed to get a little pipe through there to them and sent them food etc (and iPods with Foo Fighters on them). I reckon Dave kept them going. "Hello, I've waited here for you... everlong..."

Did I see Michelle no longer link impaired? Yay!

Got Time Machine in the car. Haven't tried this one before! Looking forward to "Speed of Light" hope I don't drive too fast and go for a swim in the river...

Later, BEN

Important Scientific Finding

A South American scientist from Argentina, after a lengthy study, has discovered that people with insufficient brain and sexual activity read their e-mail and the internet with their hand on the mouse.

Don't bother taking it off now, it's too late.

Bahduh: Hey Mark! I sent you an e-mail about ATN and Steven. I hope I explained the things you wanted to know. Try not to be depressed about the info. Steven's a survivor(sp). New music may be up on our links on ATN. Check the bottom of each album page for links to other songs. GOTTAHAVEJOE: Kayla! be quite carefull with your "Paws" when doing new routines on/for the guitar. Do strech out your fingers first, and when your hands start to hurt, give'em a break. I use flexall 454 when I get too aggressive with my practices. Ice can help. Try not to go into a practice session "Cold." Rub your tendons from the wrist to the spaces between your fingers "Gently" between the tendons for a minute or so. Try before and after if needed. Good luck, and remember, if'in' your tense emotionally, you will be physically. KTF Randell
