Dear Mr. Satriani,
My name is Chris, and I have a dream. Perhaps it's the same dream you shared with many other guitar legends and great musicians past and present....... a dream to bring joy to others through music, a dream to play in front of millions, a dream to make a career in music - to be an instrumentalist, vocalist, music and song writer.
Some might say I'm too old at 30, that I've wasted too much time in the 11 years I've been playing guitar. And in some ways I am and I have...... but it's all invaluable experience that I've gained. So there is no loss.
I have an undescribable passion for music and song. I own an Ibanez SA120 which I play through a Zoom707II and 20W Aria amp. It's my 3rd guitar and the one I'm most proud of. I will slowly upgrade my system as time goes by, and my skills on the guitar. I do however have one major setback, one major obstacle in my path to successfully realizing my dream:
I have never had a guitar lesson. I have been teaching myself and learning bits here and there from friends.....learning songs I download from www.ultimate-guitar.com, even doing gigs and teaching others the basics. But what still holds me back is a lot of theory, professional skills and day-to-day practice that only music school can give me.
Am I wrong in my assumptions? I'd like to get a diploma in musicianship to get the extra knowledge, skills and confidence I lack. I think it can only improve my abilities to compose and play. Please give me some advice.

GROWLER
For the last time I just don't care. I've got you worked out but you just don't see it. You haven't rattled me I couldn't care less. There must be some aspect of your life that you hate to make you come out with all this venomous bile. Perhaps you are bullied; or you are in a job you hate, or in a loveless relationship, or can't get a partner because of flaws in your personality. Well you are not alone as a lot of people on this site have problems that they are dealing with but they don't give each other abuse because they can't do anything about it.
You can't have any real friends because they would tell you when you are being a moron and you go away and say to yourself, OK I'll try to be a better person. You seem to think you are always right even when you are wrong and you piss people off. You are being ignorant to your own inanity. This is why people get exasperated with you because you think you are winding them up they can see your annoying them but you can't see that they've cottoned on to your game.
You got upset about an inconsequential bit of trivia that was not necessarily aimed at you but you tried to provoke a response out of me as you are just spoiling for a fight. You've alienated yourself with every one on this site because of your attitude and have insulted a lot of people on line to. You've called us all idiots on the forum but you still make posts on this site, so who is the real idiot? After all the abuse you have given me I am still trying to be polite with you and give you a valuable life lesson. You can do what you want but knowing what you are like you are probably thinking I am insulting you and you are gonna come back with a load more abuse at me telling me that you don't need any help cos you are omnipotent.
Regarding your comments on WW2 every one suffered the allies and the enemy

Check that all your channel gains are down. One rule to remember keep the gains down and let the master volume do the work for you. If you still get distortion it could be the output devices so take it to a reputable service engineer and get it serviced.

So fucking down right now about this whole employment thing...I worked out earlier that since I was 16 I've looked for a job every year during the summer and have found that everything I have applied to which must be well over 100 jobs by now seeing as I've applied to 30-40 since Easter, has amounted to absolutely nothing. Thus wasting 15 months of my life.
I'm gonna' see how many I can apply to this week, I've been told of a few, and cheers Neil for pointing out the Century Media one. But right now I'm so fucking close to giving up, I feel like I'm just wasting even more of my time right now.

Just found out that Britain came in 19th in Eurovision. Congrats to Finland on winning; on BBC news they said that a death metal band won!!!! Not sure if I'd really call Lordi a death metal band, but what the hell!!!
Delfino - No problem man. Good luck with it all!!!
