so i was talkin to my dad bout those pictures that Mari and Chelle got fer me that Joe signed...and i was tellin him that that is SOOO cool Joe had asked bout my sister, and that it was just so amazing to me that he did and i think for some reason maybe he got a little offened or something...cause he started going off and saying "he is just a human". i was thinking to my self "Joe is human yes, but he is more than that, he is a SUPER HERO he is a life saver."

Joe its so amazing how one person like myself can be soooooooo inspiered by another person like yourself! Thank you! Its so amazing what you do for people.

Dear Steve T I am watching Joe Satriani Live In San Fran which is an awesome concert. The song is Borg Sex which is awesome, but not one of my favs. I agree there are too many too list. Stew is an amazing bassist. Is the new album as good as its name? How's his new line up for the band? I am glad he kept Jeff as a drummer...at least I think he did. He is amazing too. It's nice to have new people to play with. It keeps it fresh and inspiring as well.

Anton Shred:Aye man,I dont have a vid up & running at mo,but y can check out my toons from my first cd at www.roymarchbank.com I get the impression y like a bit the ol shred, so I suggest givin the C minor prelude a whirl. Its a pretty mixed up inst CD with no real pigeonhole, Flymans & Egyptian for eg have a harder edge also Track 2 Blue Bossa/pheonix features a great playa from the t2j forum Paul Clark or Clarky as hes known here.

http://www.guitar9.com/widowmakershighway.html

http://cdbaby.com/cd/marchbank

My web site,cd & generally getting my shit together was organised by my good friend Ronnie aka fablawyer who also introduced me to this forum some 4 years ago.Since then I,ve had the privaledge of meeting some really cool peeps who have been of tremendous support, mikesb being one who put my interview together & somehow managed to get me some much needed exposure on this site

http://www.seaoftranquility.org/article.php?sid=451

Sounds like y have or had, nor sure which a great setup.Y cant really go wrong with mesa bro, they are such good sounding & well built amps, combined with Ibanez y got a killer combination. That’s what F Gambale was using to stunning effect before.

I used mainly marshall,Laney & Hiwatt amps years ago with marshall 4b 12s but now have relocated to Barca so I,m currently playing through a Peavey classic 50 combo, chances are in the not so distant future I,ll be getting my sweaty mits on a Cornford hellcat sometime next year, the tone out that amp could melt the pants off a nun, its just outrageous

So now I,ve ranted on about me whats your story bro?Anything rec yet or are y in the process

One terrifying night Jimi Hendrix fell asleep next to his wife. Time went by as Jimi fell into a deep sleep. Suddenly, Jimi woke up! He turned to his wife and said he had a dreadful NIGHTMARE. She asked him to explain. He said he climbed up on stage at Woodstock plugged in tuned up and began playing Purple Haze. When it came to the Star Spangled Banner, Jimi started to shake and tremble.....I sounded like Jeff Beck!!!!!!!

There is only one master of the lead guitar and his name is Jimi Hendrix. He may have passed away but people are still trying to catch him. You know what, no roach will ever sound like him, let alone SRV.

Just saw Jeff Beck 2 months ago. Impressive on guitar. Cant sing. Ugly. Looks twice his age. Kind of like Keith Richards. What kind of a dumbass climbs up a tree for a coconut? He still cant tour. Roach.........................

GROWLER BACK AT YA......................................Look a roach. Got it!

Oh question for JOE or anyone who has seen Joe on this tour....does Dave do a solo bit like Stu on LISF?

Boogieman75 - Welcome to the board....I was trying to figure out what my favourite satch song was again last night as I was watching the DVDs....its just soooooo hard....coz there are so many great tunes....I guess ones that touch me would be...I believe, Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness, The Phone Call, Satch Boogie, Rubina and of course Always with me Always with you....but ask me again in a few weeks and it would probably all change coz I love em all!

Levis - Hey you...good to have another UKer!

Michelle - Yay a week at Disney....fab....we stayed just a few yards from there...you could see the fireworks every night...but we didn't actually go...we went to the other five....Seaworld was definately my favourite....I cried when I finally got to feed and see the dolphins!

Hugs Satriella xx

Aaaagh Mark did you just email me....I think I just deleted you instead of some sony one...ooooh please email again.....sorry!

Hey all, just chillin here enjoying the evening posts! Whew, ha, my god. Growlza: what's up mang? Gotta say, you're right about Jimi, but I'll tell you a story here. I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn once. The time I saw him, he and Jeff Beck were playing together in Oakland. They had been trading headlines for a few days. I had gone to see Jeff Beck mainly as he is one of my favorites. What I saw in Stevie was unfucking believably breathtaking. Swear to God there is and was never anyone who could play Hendrix the way Stevie could. The set was just incredible, he played with a renewed vigor, as he had just kicked all his personal demons recently, liquor, drugs etc. He played behind his back, with his teeth, and with that mother fucker on the ground while he kicked it and manipulated it with a nudge from his hand every now and then. But it wasn't just noise, it was holding, and continually staying within a musical framework. I couldn't believe it. I had been stunned by my ignorance in not paying him much mind before that. He was a lot like Jimi in his life and love for the instrument, no one can take that away from him ever. Tragically, it was the last time he ever played, as he was killed in that helicopter crash days later. I was lucky to have seen him. I like the way Eric plays Jimi now, he's very good, but Stevie was the master, hands down.

I still love to hear Jeff Beck's guitar work. I don't like everything he does the same, but he plays with an uncanny ability in his phrasing that is uncomparable. Just listen to Guitar Shop, a very good album from a while back, or There and Back. I like his more personal phrasing on songs like The Final Peace, that is a beautiful song. Anywho, enough of me, I'm outa here brotha, talk at ya later .......Anton

Slanshroom, well I have been out of the game for about 3 years now. I have been building a 67 camaro RS for about 5 years now. My last band had broken up and I was just fucking so pissed. This is 3 years ago, and so I sold the Boogie and cabinet to get some more things for my car as I was tired of playing my ass off for that chemistry to work and nothing came of it. Very frustrating for me and I didn't play for about a year and a half. Then my mom got Leukemia and I went to see her every day for 2 months at San Francisco Hospital, that just beat the crap out of the most important person in my life, and so when she was told to stay home for her last weeks I got married earlier than planned to make her happy just one more time as she was dying. And then my wife got pregnant with our little girl who is one year now, and so that's my story. Whew, I know it's a mouthful, but anyway I am changing careers from painting cars, guitars and other shit to radiologic technology. I take care of the little girl in the day and go to school at night. I was given a copy of Doug's new dvd, which is really great, by him, and bought some cheap practice amp so am trying to "come back". Ha, what a fool I was to stop playing, I was getting pretty good, oh well, still not too bad. We sounded like, Tool meets 311 meets Alice in Chains. Pretty heavy and with some very nice lead playing, My friend was taking lessons from Doug also and we would switch leads. Very aggressive. After that I just noodled around doing some covers with friends, usually AIC, Korn, Creed, and Godsmack, STP. Good fun for a while. So nothing much these days as you can see I have gotten busy as hell the last few years. Thanks for the comments though, See you later and peace out bro. Anton Shred

Mr. Joe Satriani, I have a question for you. As a former custom painter I was always impressed with the totally awesome and unique paint jobs that Donnie Hunt did on your guitars before he passed away. At one of your shows I picked up a special high priced shirt that had been done I believe by Donnie. Or it might be your artwork. I'm not sure, but I never wear it except for a few shows that I wore it too, and have never seen any one wearing one like it ever since I bought it. I know Donnie was still alive at the time it came out and am pretty sure it's his artwork. Could you tell me if indeed it is, or if it is your own artwork? I would love to know, maybe you're up right now and checking the site huh?!! Anyway, loved your show of course at the Warfield, and the new album is a work of art itself. Hope ZZ and Rubina are enjoying your time off for a bit! Thanks Joe if and when you respond to this. With respect; Anthony Lybrand, aka Anton Shred

Growler in reply to your post: I am no more special than anyone here and never implied I was an expert or as you put it an authority figure. But you made a statement that was incorrect. If this site determines that they want to deny access to anyone (yes including you) they have the right to do so and it will not end the sites existense. By the way the site I made reference to is registered in CA and the photog sites I participate in are as well. All have limited, blocked, banned and sued users for various reasons that they deemed innapropriate or that caused there sites harm.
So to repeat I posted a correction to your incorrect statement albeit I am sure an innocent mistake on your part. I mentioned the forum could go to paid membership status not because of anyone's push to do so but it could be for many reasons. I didn't post the information to make you so defensive. If you read my post I never insulted or chastised you in anyway as you have done so with your reply. It is possble you have gotten on other participants nerves but I can assure you you could never get on mine. I read your posts with a great big smile and as entertainment.
And as far as you telling me to go to myspace.com where I belong let me tell you I have never been to myspace.com nor have any interest in going there in the future. Please do me a favor and continue to post your FBI stories as I enjoy reading them as much as the next. I wish you all the best. Oh one last thing regarding your predators info. I am sure Vegas has many no doubt. I believe you stated you are from Hawaii? If that is correct you have quite a few there yourself. I have a good friend who is from Hawaii and visits his family often. He confirmed that it is a problem in your wonderful state as well.
