Clarky:I recon thats it..to have the fxs loop option b4 the digi preamp is what he was after,i can sympathize with that, even better b4 the comp would be cool.I found the Boss comp although not the best, had a character I couldn’t find with the onboard Digi & the tones of the pre amp couldn’t compare with my old Korg OV1 I had to combine through the fxs loop t suck the tone out my head, even then it didn’t deliver, even when i turned the onboard comp & pre amp off....wierd, now that was after 4 years fuckin around with it!

I had however a friend that had the old studio original fxs part of the unit b4 the 2101 came out “ do you remember that?”& when I combined it with my pedal setup it was ear candy heaven. So I bought the 2101 unit thinking its bound to be able t reproduce the same colours in tone.It fullfilled the fxs side no end, but for the life of me I couldn’t get what I heard b4 through the same 4b 12 marshall i had & its been driving me nuts ever since, lmao

Now maybe I,m getting picky, lol

Slansh - not picky.. I know what you mean....
there is this elusive tone utopia....
you get really really close....
you then change a setting or a unit or amp or something..
and then it's gone forever... lmao....

been there...

on the FX loop thing.. I think it's placement should be programable... because every patch scenario is diferent...
and this should include the digital stage too...
like imagine having a real old analogue delay that you want after the quad-detuner but before the reverb.... and only on your lead / solo guitar patch that you use for ballads...
and in another patch you may want to drop a valve compressor in at the front....

makes sense to me....

I GOT THE NEW JOB!!!! :)

I'm so pleased, as I knew how disappointed I'd be if I didn't get it- and I have never felt like that after previous interviews / visits to schools.

A large red wine I think as soon as we get to the pub I think!!!! What a week...

I got a few tapes in the mail yesterday from Dave, I already had most of them on DVD, but I've never seen Steve Vai's 'Alien Love Secrets'. All I gotta say... Tender Surrender.

Other than that, might have a Line 6 POD on the way, should be a great addition for recording during the summer.

Hi Joe,

I'm Marc, a huge french fan for many years, but unfortunately I've never met you !!

I have met lot of your friends : Patrick Rondat, Steve Vai, John Petrucci and they ALL have signed on my guitar!

So now there's only one signature missing on my Ibanez : YOURS !!!

I have let enough space on it just for you !

I'll be in Monterau just to see you on the 10th of June, I have to see you to fill this blank waiting for your signature on my guitar !!

Please contact me to fond a solution to my problem : your signature is compulsory to complete this "G3 guitar" !!!

Many thanks Joe, see ya!

Slanshroom..... You're absloulutly right about Digitech. I was haveing a lot of RF interference with my Whammy 4 pedal to a point I couldn't use it. I called tech support and they emailed me a work around with soldering caps in series to the input jack and then to ground. Well I couldn't get it work. So I sent it to The Harmon Music Group for repair. They sent it back two weeks later fixed with my check enclosed. So I called the guy and he said he just decieded not to charge me and did the parts and labor for free. It wasn't on warranty cause I bought it used. How cool is that?

gottahavejoe.....Check it out when you can I strongly reccommend this issue. Also, if you can afford it check out Tascams GT-I MKII trainer. It's a cd player that slows down music without changing the pitch. It has guitar amps and effects built in it with a headphone jack. It's really a cool unit plus you can use it as a cd player. It sell for around $ 150. It's been very helpful for figuiring out Joe's music. CDGT-1 Hugs

Edit.... Congrats Suzo. That's awesome. I'm happy for ya. Cindy got her assignment for next year and she's returning to the same school and she's really happy about it. Hugs

NIKKI SIXX, JOHN 5 Collaborate With MEAT LOAF On 'Bat Out Of Hell III'

An unmastered song from MEAT LOAF's next chapter in the "Bat Out of Hell" series began to appear on peer-to-peer file sharing sites last week, providing MEAT LOAF fans around the world an unexpected first taste of "Bat Out of Hell III: The Monster is Loose", the long-awaited third installment to rock music's most successful series of all time.

The escaped title track, "The Monster is Loose", was co-written by Nikki Sixx (MÖTLEY CRÜE), John 5 (ROB ZOMBIE/ex-MARILYN MANSON guitarist) and "Bat Out of Hell III" producer Desmond Child.

John 5 also performs on the track, which features MEAT LOAF's distinctive vocal over the epic, hard-rocking track, the combination that forged the unique "Bat Out of Hell" sound. The album is due to be officially released in October 2006 by Mercury Records.

Said a Mercury Records U.K. spokesperson, "We're investigating the source of the leak from the studio, but once the 'monster is loose,' you really can't stuff it back in its cage. Because the track has already been leaked it has been made available at MEAT LOAF's web site and MySpace page.

MEAT LOAF's two previous "Bat Out of Hell" albums have sold 45 million units around the world. "Bat Out of Hell", released in 1977 and produced by Todd Rundgren, included such massive hits as "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad", "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth" and the show-stopping "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights". The Jim Steinman-produced "Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell", released in 1993 included the classic "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" which hit No. 1 in 29 countries and earned MEAT LOAF a Grammy for Best Rock Vocal Performance.
