Whew, back from a whirlwhind NYC experience, too much food, too much drink, too much rock'n'roll and definitely too much rain lol Stevee T, congrats on your milestone man and all the best with your projects, you are one focussed individual my friend so I have no doubt about your success..... and thanks for that guided tour of Brooklyn!!! LMBFAO Ronnie, can never thank you enough, Uli was awesome wasn't he? Well worth the effort, I had a great time despited the weather thanks to you and Alda!!! Thank you for the close up and personal tour of the New Jersey Light Rail system, an unforgettable experience LOL... Mari, glad you made it back from your world travels... believe me none of us knew it was Stevee T's birthday until after midnight, night of the concert!! I am sure you needed to catch some rest anyway and it seems like there might be a little time to get together with Stevee again before he heads west so I will be looking for the opportunity believe me. Stevee is a scholar and a gentleman to be sure Uli was awesome I put Roy Marchbank's CD right into his hands and ordered him to listen to it he would truly enjoy it!! He promised me he would and Uli is a gentleman so I believe him..... I would have loved to chat a while with him but Steeve T Ronnie and Alda were waiting, so for any of you familiar with the Scorpions back catalogue from the Uli era, I said I needed to "Catch My Train" he had played that tune on Tuesday nite and had a good chuckle. Also chatted with Joe Stump who was also digging Uli's show, cool night overall.......

Listening to 'UNTIL WE SAY GOODBYE’ takes me away to an ice world. Flying over ice mountains and through ice caves. What a way to start your morning…

I have always liked Asia, but I have never seen them live.
Maybe this year.
Good to know they put on a good show (at least 10 years ago they did)

Joe, fantastic job on this album! My father and I saw your show at the Berklee Performing Arts Center last month in Boston before we had heard the album (unreal show). The best we’ve heard you play in years.
We’ve been going to your shows together since I was a teenager. He had just been released from the hospital after a 3 week stay on the day of your show. You should have seen his face sitting in that auditorium listening to you play. Total peace and joy! You were playing Ten Words and I looked over at him, and his eyes were shut; he was just so at peace listening to you play. After seeing him in so much pain it really meant a lot. Ten Words is kind of our song now; every time I hear it I just think of the look on his face and how happy he was.
I love how you’ve really added to your style and sound. Best album in years, maybe ever!

If you are recording guitar in to a PC you need to get a small mixer such as a Behringer UB 1002 and a noise gate if using overdrive. You can record straight into sound forge or you can get Guitar pro 7. The mixer and noise gate you can get for under $200. Guitar pro is not that expensive either. I use this set up and I use a pod line six. I record my stuff into sound forge. I arrange all my tunes in Reason 3.

You gotta twist the truth a little. If you see a job you know you can do advertised you have to arrange your CV to suit the job. It's how you sell yourself at the interview and you have to convince the guy that you are the person he's been looking for. If its been a while since you've worked (over 6 months) that can go against you as well so you tell them you've been on training courses or you've been travelling around the world.

Joe, I hate to bother you with this, but no one else will address my concern. My son and I met you after the Austin, TX. show on April 28th. It was a pleasure... The problem I have is that I purchased two of the Platinum Package deals for the show which was to include individual photos of us with you. To date (May 18th.) these still have not been posted to the web address I received. All that is there are six photos of "some" of us holding the Super Colossal guitar. There should be at least fifteen of these! The biggest problem is that there are NO photos at all of us with you. My thought is that John Iverson might have accidentally deleted these before they could get downloaded. Anything you can do to solve this mystery would be appreciated. Mike and TJ Brown, Texas.

I can not believe they have remade The Omen just cos of the 6/6/06 date this year. The soundtrack of the original first two films were awesome and the story is one of the best. Its like getting Britteny Spears to cover Stairway to Heaven. They must be running out of ideas. It just can't be happening....

SteveeT: yes I do have a myspace for me and the band: www.myspace.com/stringtheorymusic In case you were hinting at whether or not I sent an invitation for Michael Molenda to check out my page, I did that about a month ago when he first invited GP readers to do this. FUnny thing is, Matt didn't send an invite to molenda.....I think either one of his friends must have, or I think Molenda found Matt through my invite (Matt is #1 on my friends links on myspace)haha! That's cool though, as long as someone talented out of the group gets into the spotlight, I think it's great. Besides, I think it's great for Matt to get some positive reinforcement for all of his hard work.

UncleScorp,
I have a Boss GT-8 but don't know it in deep detail. In my case, there's only one amp that produces a slightly satch-like sound (I think it's the Marshall imitation - see the manual which one is it) but I play with a Strat. Other guitars may have completely different results.
Cheers,
VP

UncleScorp - I've been eying a Boss GT-8 myself. If I get one, I'll see if I can program some Satch sounds myself, and share them with you, but it might be a while before I can buy it. BTW, I saw a pic of Galen Henson (Joe's ryth. guitarist) using a GT-8.

Hey gang,
CroNumber9 - Yeah man, I finally heard back from Mike over at soundaid.org, who is working on getting my profile set up. Should be on there within a few days... will keep you posted on that!
Satriella - Got your email... I checked out your latest drawing of Joe... excellent work!! And no, I'm not a builder by trade, but I can get by... with a little help. :) I have some friends helping me build the new studio so it shouldn't be as difficult as it would be, otherwise.
Joe - Keep rockin' man... you must be exhausted already.

Hi to everyone!
Firstly, thanks a lot for read this message.
I would like to make a proposition....
Can you imagine a G3 with Richie Kotzen???
I think it's a very good idea (better than Yngwie, hohoh), so think about it and if it's possible....do it!!!
Oh! I'm a guitar player from Seville (Spain), so if this proyect can be possible, please make a gig in Southern Spain (Seville, Huelva, Cadiz).
This proposition it's for you too, JOE!!! I would like to see you again in Seville or near of it (I was in "Guitar Leyends" Festival in Seville '92).
PS. I don't recommend "Industrial Copera" in Granada, because is a very small hall (and it has the wrost design of spaces I've never seen before).
Thanks for your attention, and excuse me for my poor english.
Sincerely,
Francis Z.
