Yo Joe.... greetings from Vancouver Island... posted this question some time ago, but thought I would try again! Joe, I would really like to know if your harp setup (bullet mic, harp frame) was custom made for you. If not, I need something like that and would really appreciate knowing where you picked it up! By the way, where do I send something I have for you? It is great exercise for your wrist/hand and is great for recuperation after a strenuous night of gittar pickin! I brought it to the gig, but didn't get a chance to see you after the show.... My pal Bernie Shaw (Uriah Heep) has told me how you and him used to hang out backstage when they were touring with Deep Purple back in the 90's. Too bad there were no recordings from your stint with them... oh well! Caught your show in Vancouver this May - it was great! Did you get high off the BC Bud haze in the air... man, was that THICK or what??? Later, Phil (Boz Roz)

fablawyer PLEASE!!! I just ate!!!
dck surely you have an mp3 player that handles .pls files? itunes can surely do that?! oh, yeah, i'm talking about OME's streams ;-)
ok, this might be a long post, it's a copy-and-paste job, but i think it's funny...
There's this guy who's in the market for a used motorcycle. Always wanted a nice big hog. So he's shopping around, answering ads in the newspaper, and not having much luck. One day he comes across a beautiful classic Harley with a for sale" sign on it. Upon inspection, he is amazed to find the bike in mint condition. He inquires about it with the owner:

"This bike is beautiful! I'll take it. But you gotta tell me how you keep it in such good shape. "Well," says the seller, "it's pretty simple. Just make sure that if the bike is outside and it's going to rain, rub Vaseline on the chrome. It protects it from the rain. In fact, since you're buying the bike I won't need my tube of Vaseline anymore. Here, you can have it." and he hands the buyer a tube of Vaseline.

So the guy buys the bike and off he goes, a happy biker. He takes the bike over to show his girlfriend. She's ecstatic (being a Harley fan).

That night, he decides to ride the bike over to his girlfriend's parents' house. It's the first time he's going to meet them and figures it will make a big impression. When the couple gets to the house, the girlfriend grabs her boyfriend's arm.

"Honey," she says, "I gotta tell you something about my parents before we go in. When we eat dinner, we don't talk. In fact, the person who says anything during dinner has to do the dishes."

"No problem," he says. And in they go.

The boyfriend is astounded. Right smack in the middle of the living room is a huge stack of dirty dishes. In the family room, another huge stack of dishes. Piled up the stairs, dirty dishes. In fact, everywhere he looks, dirty dishes. They sit down to dinner and, sure enough, no one says a word.

As dinner progresses, the boyfriend decides to take advantage of the situation. So he leans over and kisses his girlfriend. No one says a word. So he decides to reach over and fondle her breasts. He looks at her parents, but still they keep quiet.

So he stands up, grabs his girlfriend, strips her naked, and they make love right on the dinner table. Still, no one says a word.

"Her Mom's kinda cute", he thinks. So he grabs his girlfriend's Mom and has his way with her right there on the dinner table. Again, total silence.

Then, a few raindrops hit the window and the boyfriend realizes it's starting to rain. He figures he'd better take care of the motorcycle, so he pulls the Vaseline from his pocket. Suddenly the father stands up and shouts: "All right, all right! I'll do the damn dishes."
later peeps, hope you'tre all well :)

Siouxzo - Extra heavy positive vibes heading your way girl. I have massive respect for your kind of Teech. I truly hope you get what you want. Good luck.

Slanshroom - Way too much aggro. Quite right. But when abuse is proffered by self aggrandizing morons for no other reason than some perverted pleasure at others perceived discomfort, some of us are not strong and silent. I saw someone being slighted unfairly (IMHO) and reacted, maybe rightly maybe wrongly, I am but human.

Keep rocking all

Steve.

THE ANTON SHRED Hey Tony! Hows it going bro? Just want to thank you for your post and additional website for Gustavo. I'll check it out a little later. I want to check out Doug Doppler too. Man, I feel a little distant with the new names. I'm always up for research. It seems thats alot of what takes up most of my time is confirmation of theory to fact. Doppler sounds like a well respected musician of musicians. If he knows Joe he's alright with me buddy. Tony, keep on posting as what you have to say has some guts to it and is good info. You dont mind if I rip into 2nd mate STEVIE do you? He's an asswipe as well. You see FISHBOY and STEVIE who we now know is a neighbor of FISHBOY and possibly Satrielala Land ( La La Land ). Doesnt that mean a space cadet? 2 bricks shy of a full load? Satrielala the arteeeest! Never seen her work, dont care too.

STEVO So you are a matie. You mate with FISHBOY. Oh, I bet you do! Mr Authority Figure. Just like FISH. One of a kind. What are you the captain of a tugboat or dingy? I'm still intrigued with this bellboy deal. I know he's FISHHEAD....FISHBOY. I just cant seem to put the pieces together. I know he would struggle through the MMPI psych eval as he literally cant put the pieces together himself. You, on the other hand are a real piece of work. Not only can you paddle a dingy, but you know your languages and countries of origin well and would like everybody to know about it. STEVO has an inferiority complex issue. He also is quite disoriented as nobody seems to know what hes talking about, not even fellow posters. Run along now stevie its time for your Thorazine boy.

MTHEAD 101 Whats up? How you feelin dude. You know a couple of weeks back I requested to get in on an abdominal procedure sx. Even though it has nothing to do with my ortho requirement, just to get an objective view to determine complexity and like that or la dat. Is that Filipino? Glad to see your post. Hang Loose bruddah. Take care. Aloha

Hey ANTON We can make this a pretty fun game with these snobs if your up for it. If your not, let me know on your next posting. Anyway, obviously this site is not only used to talk to Joe as he cant possibly keep up with all the bull, especially on tour. However, if the piss ants are bothering you, just communicate with Joe only and I'll run interference for you. Kind of like a wingman bro. I like the interaction and pushing their buttons. On the other hand, we can both unload on em. Is that verbal abuse? They asked for it. I can deliver. Lets get it on! I've come to chew bubble gum and kick ass. GROWLERRRRRRR

Fireman Ken - First sorry we missed you at the show. Michelle and I were bummed about it. I didn't get your voice mail until the next day! Anyway, about the monitors. What we do is run two separate chains: One with the singer's and drummer's monitors. This mix has more lead vocals in it as well as the drummers vocals with the rest of the vocals and guitars in the background. Then one for the two guitars that has has the guitars and our background vocals up front and the lead vocals in the back. This has worked real well for us. The set up we are using is a Mackie 16 ch passive board and a QSC 2-ch amp. All four monitors are passive. Hope that helps. Give me a call/email if you have any more questions. I'm not getting to check the board very often these days.
