Slanshroom: yo wat up mang. I wonder if you had any audio or video on the web to check out? Just curious as you appear to know your shit pretty well. I wonder what equipment you like? I listed my guitars back a bit, and used to play through a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier rack mount head and Hughes and Kettner half stack, and I used a VHT Pitbull also as another head. The VHT was really something else, very impressive, but I stayed with the Boogie cuz it had just a killer overall sound with a ferocious bottom end. Anyway, just wondering what you and everyone else thinks about those rigs I used. Later on SatchFreakazoids, Anton Shred

Dear Everyone My name is Dylan. I am from Damariscotta Maine. Is anyone from Maine? I saw Joe in concert on one of the G3 tours in Minneapolis MN when I went there for college. I saw him with Eric Johnson, Steve Vai and one other guy I don't remember but it was amazing. I saw it with my friend Kevin Wipf. Did anyone see that concert? I wish I could have seen him with John Petrucci from Dream Theater. They are an amazing group.

Hey, I'm from England, how's it going? I've been playing guitar for around 7yrs or so, I'm not very knowledgable about timings and use of abnormal timings. examples being.. erm.. Time-Satriani, Tool, Frank Zappa (70's-80's)? I want to know how to mix things up a bit more successfully than my current fumblings. Appreciate any help !!!

GottahaveJoe:I'm glad I could help. I hope the links to "rockhousemethod.com" helped. There is nothing like getting professional help. Check into "Tony Burnette" cd teaching dvd's. You'll gain a "Bag of tricks" to use in any situation. T2Jers have some great advice here. Using a metronome really helps. Rock on girl! randell

Dear Levis] I've been playing for over 10 years and sometimes try tricky timing such as mixing 6/8 and then going to 4/4, and then to 3/4. I too find it hard to switch from one to the next but what helps is practicing lots and also playing along with bands who do that too (i.e. Dream Theater with John Petrucci). I also like Liquid Tension Expiriment 1 and 2. Try playing along with bands who mix time signatures up. Is this what you mean? I would love to go to England. I have been to New Zealand and that was a great trip. I had a blast watching The All Blacks and such. Anyone have advice on mastering modes? I just use them sometimes without realizing it, since it sounds good. Sometimes I will come up with a composition in the aolian mode that Joe uses and not know it until I ask my guitar teacher. I would like someway to memorize them, like a mneumonic device. Anyone have one? I know the aeolian mode pretty well. Dylan

Also any help on open tunings?

DAVEALAN Wow Dave, your wife is a playboy model. Does that make you a special guy? Not that its any of your business, but the harrassment began way before you arrived. If worse comes to worse and the posts are examined my opposition will be crushed. By the way, in reference to domain names. The state, in this case California, has control over the domain name and it is their discretion to terminate the name. Also, registering a domain name does not ensure that that name cannot be used by others. F.Y.I. Now, the Feds and their entire network of friends have complete charge over state authority, if deemed necessary. You would be amazed how rules and regulations suddenly disappear when the Feds are involved. I've seen it firsthand in many a cases and had it related to me on several more. The public goes unaware. Dave, my beef is not with you and you have no idea about what happened in the past. You are not involved. Go play on myspace.com where you belong.

Hey COSMIC APE and ANTON. Whats up bruddahs? Can you believe the nerve of these ROACHES. This dude Dave Alan, another Mr. Authority figure like mikesb. They have nothing better to do than shoot off their mouths with so called knowledge. Basically, I just want to see if FISHHEAD can get me off this site. You cant FISHHEAD. Further, if you press the situation YOU will have everybody having to pay to post, according to Dave Alan. So keep it up. You are the one who began the assault. I have proof of that. Anyway, CA, sorry about the transfer of Ecuador to Central America buddy. My mind is too much into medicine than geography man, forgive me. ANTON, I dont know what to say man, I'm still hanging in their as wingman bro. I actually love it. I'm really getting on there nerves and this really gives me an energy boost! Its kind of sick I know. I'm kind of like the website vigilante. Love Charles Bronson in Death Wish putting the hurts on all the roaches.

Speaking of which, this is very important now. There is a website out there called familywatchdog.us. Check it out, especially if you have kids. This site lists the names, address', and felony convictions as well as pictures of sexual predators in your neighborhood and your child's school neighborhood. Make sure you log on and pass it on to all of your friends. Too bad its not available to our stuck up UK friends. Hey, but Dave you can use it. I bet you have a ton in your area. Las Vegas. Sin City.

Aloha G...................

Dear Steve T I am watching Joe Satriani Live In San Fran which is an awesome concert. The song is Borg Sex which is awesome, but not one of my favs. I agree there are too many too list. Stew is an amazing bassist. Is the new album as good as its name? How's his new line up for the band? I am glad he kept Jeff as a drummer...at least I think he did. He is amazing too. It's nice to have new people to play with. It keeps it fresh and inspiring as well.

Anton Shred:Aye man,I dont have a vid up & running at mo,but y can check out my toons from my first cd at www.roymarchbank.com I get the impression y like a bit the ol shred, so I suggest givin the C minor prelude a whirl. Its a pretty mixed up inst CD with no real pigeonhole, Flymans & Egyptian for eg have a harder edge also Track 2 Blue Bossa/pheonix features a great playa from the t2j forum Paul Clark or Clarky as hes known here.

My web site,cd & generally getting my shit together was organised by my good friend Ronnie aka fablawyer who also introduced me to this forum some 4 years ago.Since then I,ve had the privaledge of meeting some really cool peeps who have been of tremendous support, mikesb being one who put my interview together & somehow managed to get me some much needed exposure on this site

http://www.seaoftranquility.org/article.php?sid=451

Sounds like y have or had, nor sure which a great setup.Y cant really go wrong with mesa bro, they are such good sounding & well built amps, combined with Ibanez y got a killer combination. That’s what F Gambale was using to stunning effect before.

I used mainly marshall,Laney & Hiwatt amps years ago with marshall 4b 12s but now have relocated to Barca so I,m currently playing through a Peavey classic 50 combo, chances are in the not so distant future I,ll be getting my sweaty mits on a Cornford hellcat sometime next year, the tone out that amp could melt the pants off a nun, its just outrageous

So now I,ve ranted on about me whats your story bro?Anything rec yet or are y in the process

One terrifying night Jimi Hendrix fell asleep next to his wife. Time went by as Jimi fell into a deep sleep. Suddenly, Jimi woke up! He turned to his wife and said he had a dreadful NIGHTMARE. She asked him to explain. He said he climbed up on stage at Woodstock plugged in tuned up and began playing Purple Haze. When it came to the Star Spangled Banner, Jimi started to shake and tremble.....I sounded like Jeff Beck!!!!!!!

There is only one master of the lead guitar and his name is Jimi Hendrix. He may have passed away but people are still trying to catch him. You know what, no roach will ever sound like him, let alone SRV.

Just saw Jeff Beck 2 months ago. Impressive on guitar. Cant sing. Ugly. Looks twice his age. Kind of like Keith Richards. What kind of a dumbass climbs up a tree for a coconut? He still cant tour. Roach.........................

GROWLER BACK AT YA......................................Look a roach. Got it!
