baduh: Great to hear from you man, and i emailed you my life story, lol, it's awesome how the power of music and Satch works! :-) Peace my friend!....

Satriella: The Air Force brought me here originally, and then I decided to stay once I got here.... Beautiful country, beautiful people, life is good :-)

Zenfish: When you get the chance, listen to the sound samples from Time Machine.... I really love what Jonathan Mover (awesome drummer) did for Joe, and it contains a live disc also.... Plus.... 3 of the 4 songs off his original lp (that he sold out of the trunk of his car, lol) are on there!!.... Interesting album at an interesting point in Joe's life!!.... You will hear Joe play like Jimi too, lol....

aussieRGman: Post your link again and I'll check it out....

http://www.myspace.com/greatants ..........my sister's band... http://www.myspace.com/jeffperigo ..........my brother's band.....I'm not in a band! I just listen and enjoy! They're both pretty good, though. My sister's is all girl indie/rock and my brothers is Grateful Dead style jamband. Weird how we're all into different styles of music.

aussieRGman: Hey Jason, I like your music, and all alone was the first tune that got me because of the way it builds up and then the layered gits with the nice melodies.... I like the wha wha song idea and your drums and effects are nice.... Pro Tools will give you that professional sound although experimentation will also.... Keep it up man....

962 I see that you had offered Kayla some tutorial materials to help her with her guitar playing. After a long hiatus I have recently been attempting to relearn the little bit I did know about playing guitar and extend my "playing" into new areas. Now, I am not necessarily interested in becoming a "shreder". I am more interested in learning to play along with some classic rock songs just for my own amusement. Obviously I would like to play around with some of the "easier" Satch pieces and more modern songs. I always had difficulty figuring out guitar solos. Perhaps this is due to my lack of music theory and knowing scales. Anyway, I would appreciate it if you could help me out in any way possible :)

Guitarmeister Have you finished "As I Am" yet? If you have could you shoot it over to my email? Always interested in hearing some of your soloing!

Tom

aussieRGman: lol.... People like Joe Satriani.... MAC has several versions of it, but a fully equipped system will cost you $15 g's or more.... I'm sure /\/\/\R|< can help us out here.... But there are many suitable alternatives....

Good Morning Satchland.......How was your weekend?

I'm burt out. I mixed my buddies band all weekend so he could have the CD for his BBQ on Mon. Whew ! ! ! 13 songs in four days. Sometimes I didn't even know what time it was. Anyway he loves it and they want to record some demos in the studio and maybe a DVD project. Yippie ! ! ! More work....I love it. It seems my buddies brother had other ideas for me joining the band. Oh well, it would have been a lot fun playin' with them again. Anyway had a great weekend and missed the chat room. I was plannin on a visit a couple times but got caught up in the mixing. So how's my chat room girls? Hope all is well with you Michelle and Cheese. How ya feeling these days Chee? Hugs to ya.

gottahavejoe.....Nice my space site. One would guess you're a Satch fan....lol.... You don't look chinese.... You look like Kayla.....lol....Hugs

Satriella.... Hi sweetie. How are you? Nice sketch of Kayla. Well, the offer fell apart before it happened ...no big deal. It was only a fun side project but I'm still working with them with my studio so that's cool. I took a little breather from mixing and checked out Bill's (my drummer) brother's band on Sat. night. He may take the lead vocalist and join us. The vocalist is great and Bob (Bill's brother) plays bass and sings back up really well. So we'll see. We still have a couple auditions coming up so time will time. Hugs

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! ! !

Edit....Ovation 1.....How are ya Mikey D ? Pro Tools is awesome. You're right about the flagship Pro Tools at $15k but you can get into a system for as little as $500. The best thing about these systems is they're all compatable. That was a big selling point for me as you can take your sessions on a DVD to any studio with Pro Tools. That's huge. Plus with Pro Tools 7 they introduced better Mac,Pc intergration. All sessions now are cross platform. Before you had to save your session a certain way for it to open on PC if using a Mac and visa versa. Now it's automatic. Cool ! ! !

If anyone said something to me and I missed it, I apologize.

Sandy, nice pic of Kayla. Very good!

Suze, congrats on the new job!

Alley, have a great time, and if you see any middle-aged fat American housewives along the way, try not to hug them.

Keniko, wow, you really had yer hands full! I had a great weekend. Sunday we had a party with the parents and in-laws, and they brought sooo much food! Damn, I have to invite them more often! They bring the good stuff! The day before the party we had a dump truck of mulch dropped off, and had to get that spread out over our 115 rose bushes, then around the front and side of the house. Wow! Talk about a workout. My poor husband! His legs were so stiff he could barely put his socks on the next day. lol! We were both walking around here like two old folks all weekend, so we fit in well with our parents and all their aches and pains. lol! My son got stung by something within the first half hour of mulching. It got him in the hand and elbow, and it started swelling up quick. I brought him in right away and made a paste of meat tenderizer and water, and globbed that on it, and the sting went away within a few minutes. The meat tenderizer neutralizes the sting, and it really works! All in all it was a pretty good weekend. Now if the temp. would only go back to normal! It's so friggin' HOT!! It's supposed to be in the 70's, not 90's!!!

LOVE YA JOE!!

962 My uncle said he's either going to put a computer together for me or will give me something new... It'll be just for recording and all that good stuff. I was looking at the Lexicon USB interfaces, they seem pretty good. But, if I have alittle more $ than I'm expecting I'll go with the Mbox2. Thanks for the help also.

TomSr I did finish 'As I Am', but wasn't too happy with the solo I put down, so I'll be putting in a new solo hopefully later this week. Once it's done I'll send it to you. I was supposed to do some recording the weekend, but was busy, and probably busy most of this week. Hopefully I'll get some time for recording. Couple more weeks and I'll have my own little studio ready...ahhh, can record right at home, that'll be nice.

TomSr, okay, can you give me an idea of where you are at with any scale or theory knowledge you might have? Even if it's very basic!

Guitarmeister, cool, let me know if you'd like me to list the components I used in my PC.....it's an awesome platform now that I've done some upgrades, I'm really happy with how it's working!
aussieRGman, my initial comment on "your sound" is that you need to mix your lead guitars louder! haha, the layers are all cool, I want to hear the spotlight-part too!

However, I haven't been able to listen to much of your stuff 'cause it takes ages with my dial-up connection.....but I'm pretty sure I will be getting broadband soon, and when I do I'll be catching up on everything I've missed out on! Rock on dude!

I see the "verbal thrashings" continue at a renewed vigor! Can't say I miss it at all you guys, just enjoying raising my daughter and riding my Cannondale with her behind in the trailer. The kind of feelings you can only get like that, or listening to Joe and other talented musicians who are able to convey such imagery and good brain vibes through their musical expressions. I know how hard it is to get it "just right". To get that special feeling put on an audio recording, takes a lot of time and patience, at least for me it does, more so than a lot of the talented people I see posting on this site. Anyway, my guitar playing has had to take a back seat to the reality of my life as it is now, and I miss it, but am always pleased and happy to hear what other people have done with their playing. Slenshroom, Clarky, you are both quite worthy to be here, as more are I'm sure, and it's great to hear what you've done. As for the silliness that continues, wow, Growlz all I can say is why do you enjoy it so? Don't understand why, it seems to be just a waste of time and energy pal. That's my speech for today everyone. Glad I have a few friends here anyway, so let's hear you guys put all that verbal crap through a guitar and amp and enjoy it that way hmm? Later to all, smoke some dank and call it a day! LOL. Anton Shred.

i see in lists of effects equipment for you that you use a boss "harmony machine"- what boss brand device are they referring to ? Also is your jsx speaker cabinet for sale yet? i have purchased one of the jsx heads and love its versatility. i really like your "dual single note sound"- is that primarily from the fullton ultimate octave effect or that in combination with a harmonic device ????- keep up the great work and cool tones.
