Hi Joe, I really love your music! I like Super Colossal, something really new, d*mn it's good :D I started to play at the age of 6, I'm now almost 18. One of the things I'm really interested in, is how you work, when you create a song. For example: Ten Words. Could you give me some advises how to compose like you do? thanks, I definately going to the concert in Amsterdam! see you around there. Romain.

Partly Cloudy - real feel 99 F. - Humidity 61% - winds 3 mph. The high today is supposed to be 87 F. (30 C.) Showers and thunderstorms are on the way also. Again....can I come over? Average temps for today are supposed to be mid 60's. What's up with that?? lol!

Hi ya guys

Fish heads, fish heads little biddy fish heads . I luuuurve that Zappa tune !!!!!

Been really hectic lately with all these bank holidays lots of work and fun for me at the moment. Its hard tryin to save when your out workin at party's. Cos you spend when you are out plus been under the influence of Guiness you are tryin to curb your spending and havin a good time. But I seem to be copin at the mo. That's the name of the game ain't it payin the bills avin a good time and saving some sheckles at the same time.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Isn't it amazing the amount of variations in the English accent considering how small the U.K is? In London alone you've got four dialects of Cockney. East, West, Norf and Sarf !!Then there's the cornish accent Owaar Oim a Ciderr drinkerrr !! Then there's Welsh. The hardest job in the world? It’s a Welsh taxi driver when the pubs are chuckin out. "Where dya wanna go again ?? LLLLGHGHGHGHGOH GOH GOH !! Welsh is the hardest language to learn in the world.

Then there's the midland accent (that’s OZZYs accent for you guys in other countries !) ahhh that’s bostin mate. Then you also have Stoke accent which is the Birmingham wiv a touch of Lancashire and Yorkshire accents. Then there's the Eccy thump e bah gum Lancashire and Pigeon fancying Yorkshire accents There's trouble at mill (Monty Python sketch). Then there's Manchester and Liverpool accents and on the other coast there's the y eye 5 o ! Geordies. North of the border there's the Scots. Across the Irish sea there's the Irish.

Eleven variations or so no doubt there's more but I'm generalising. There are variations within those eleven. I am aware of variations in the US from coast to coast but is it the same with you guys? Is it the same with accents every where else in the world? I'd love to get a Welsh guy or a Scottish guy with a really strong accent talking to a guy from the Bronx !! The language barrier would be immense !!

ZINC MASTER

Another cock up at the British foreign office expense last week. A guy working at the passport office responsible for issuing out pass ports was found to be an illegal immigrant !! The guy was really taking liberties to selling fake pass ports to for sex and cash !!!! They've offered him a post in the Treasury !!!

SATRIELLA

20 days and counting now. Soon comes round don't it !! Cheers for the emails ………

Elo to everyone who's posted to me and left an email I'm gonna have a catch up later.

Good Afternoon Satchland..... I Just had Lunch and it was good.

michelle......Chi-Town is having unseasonal hot weather also. We've had the AC on couple of times aready. That's rare in May. Like you we should be in the upper 60's lower 70's. 70's is perfect weather. Like baby bears porridge.....Just Right. Hugs to ya.

Satriella..... Yeah, I'm having fun with my music....you have to or what's the point. Getting ready to mix round 2. I recorded two bands the night I spoke of and made the deadline on the first band's mix. They gave me a few days off to step away from the project and I'm getting psyched to start up again. Canada? You must have me confused with someone else. I live in the states and haven't been to Canada sinse the 60's. I loved your sketch of Kayla. You have a nice touch with your art. Hugs to ya.

962..... Katrina is pretty good and gorgeous. You mentioned Bonnie Raitt. I've loved her since she graced the cover of Guitar Player Mag in the Mid 70's. She's definetly has got Soul. Another gorgeous REDHEAD. Now that I think of it was most likely that cover shot that put REDHEADS in my subconscience....lol.....

Clarky..... I haven't been to your site since you've uploaded the theory lesson but it's great news to me. You've helped me in the past as did Neil so I'm excited that your posting theory lessons Good Show Mate....Take Care.

mikesb..... I talked with a guy last night about auditioning for the band. Turns out he's a student of Dave Uhrich. He said he's an awesome teacher and recommends lessons. So I'm thinking about it. Right now I got so much on my plate but it something to consider for sure when I can return to some kind of normalcy. If that ever happens.....lol.....Besides Clarky's posting theory lessons.....

Have A Great Day Everyone ! ! !

Hrh Fish, we have tons of accents here in the US! I don't have time to name a lot, but a few that come to mind are Boston (pak da cahh ina yad), NY (you tawkin'na me, aah?), Pennsylvania has a good range of accents from PA Dutch (she's be in the shar for an R - that's shower for an hour, they don't say DAY on the each day of the week, they say Mondee, Tuesdee, etc...) and Philly where they exchange L's for W's as per Phiwy and have a strange Phiwy twang that is noticable immediately. Then down south you have the southern drawl (git on over therrre, or as we've heard WAY to many times...git 'er done) and many variations of that. I think every state in the US has a different accent, and then many accents within that state. Minnisota - well, I can't even pretend to do that accent. lmao!!

We came back from Disney in FL. a few weeks ago, and there were soooo many English accents there. It was fantastic! I couldn't tell who was from where though, because like you said, there are soooo many accents within a short range of space. I love it :-)

mikesb.......First off.....HAPPY 1800. Second.....Don't need Katrina troubles cause I'm happy were I'm at and it's not worth it. I've married my REDHEAD and I'm stickin' with her.....lol..... Now fantasy.....Well forget it.....I'll keep that to myself and I'm sure you agree...lol... I have Fretnotized. Yes, It's a great CD. Dave's Frankenstien is the best cover I've heard. Actually, Dave signed it for me. There's a guy named Rich Kureck who played keyboards and guitar on that CD. In 1994 Rich, Toshi Iseda(ever heard of him) and I and 8 other wiinners won a slot to be on a compilation cd through a local music store. That's where I met Dave for the first time. I don't know what ever happened to Rich but he is a killer guitarist and keyboardist. I may just give Dave a Call. Take Care.

Hrh Fish, yeah, the language thing is funny....I think it's 'cause we're made up of such a strange mix of people. You know, there's the original mixture of Celtic, Nordic, Norman and Anglo Saxon, then we got attacked by some Romans so Latin was added.

Then in more recent years we've inherited a mass of Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Muslim people, plus the massive influence that american culture has on modern Britain: That's TEN different contributing factors.

I'll have to disagree on Welsh being the hardest language to learn though....for me it's second to Russian! I have a pocket Russian phrase book, it's really well laid-out and written in a really helpful way, and I'm still struggling with page one! hehe. Rock on dude!

Keniko, "Now that I think of it was most likely that cover shot that put REDHEADS in my subconscience"...haha, the cool thing is, Bonnie would probably think it was really aweosme if you told her that! She has such a great attitude towards herself and her values.
Zinc Master, no, I think Bahduh is the one who's most recently talked with Stevie C!
michelle, loved your thing on US accents.....you missed out California though! Specifically the "Val"! hehe, "like, hellyo?! Oh my GUD, that is, like, so TYOTALLY oss-em, I am shure" ;-]
therising, welcome to t2j! So what, you saying you're trying to pioneer a new style/genre, as it were?

Ok when is enough enough and it becomes maybe........time for an intervention? How many times can one person watch the Live in San Francisco DVD. I know it backwards forwards upside down and inside out. I encouraged the wife to go shopping to get a chance to see the whole concert 2 days after seeing Joe.......strange thing is you would have thought seeing Joe and the gang live only days prior would have been enough.........it wasn't. So how many times is to many? I am afraid to admit how many.........maybe it's time to seek help...maybe I should go see Air Supply or Celine Dion and sober up....:>)

Hey Satchland,

Satriella I am excited for you!!...it is June and I can feel your excitement all the way here in NYC....these are the memories that make life sooo enjoyable...so nice to hear your joy....Also saw your lovely picture of Kayla...very cool...You inspired me to do more art with my students...I am presently teaching precious first graders... I teach them things that will inspire them...maybe above what is typical...we worked with Vincent vanGogh, Paul Klee, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and Claude Monet this week....Let me tell you, they just love it!!...You may enjoy reading about Paul Klee, he inspires the individual spirit...in an uplifting way....Picture this Sandy...the kids doing art while listening to Joe....they are loving his music!!....They ask me every day to put on one of his CDs...BTW..Any art tips you can suggest for the little ones will be very much appreciated....

Kayla thanks for asking for guitar tips from the Satchland community...the tips are helping me too!!!

Satchland....QUESTION for ya....this is a whole new world to me...Just wondering what you all thought were the 10 top guitar songs of all time??....I just recently discovered Joe, Vai, and Thal....duh!!!...hey better late than never...but I am loving my new education....going all the way back to Robert Johnson....What a beautiful instrument!!....my grandpa played the mandolin, so maybe there is some talent in my genes....One of my "new" favorite songs is Jimi's "VooDoo Child."..double duh!!! Well would love insight from any of the talented guitarists in Satchland..Hey Joe, do you have any thoughts on the subject????? Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee illuminataxxxooo
