Okay, I'm sitting here as a mom freaking out....my son Chris is prolly right now giving his speech/oral boards for his senior project....it's the last thing he has to do for his undergraduate school life and they don't let parents be there :((
I know he'll be okay...I know he will....but I'm still sitting here worried and chewin my nails over it....being autistic, this speech is a huge challenge for him. But he's talking about his most favorite subject in all the world, guitars, composing, gear, etc....he can talk me into a coma with all of that, LOL...it's just so different to get up in front of strangers and have to be polished and professional in your presentation....
He wrote a great song and I'm really proud of him...I just hope the cd player they have works on a burned cd....LOL... worries, worries....I'm listening to it right now and sending good vibes his way.
Chris has been and continues to be so inspired by Joe...not only by his music, but by his professionalism and his personality and the type of wonderful, kind and caring person he is. I couldn't have dreamt up a better person for my son to look up to and admire as he does Joe....so no matter what comes Chris's way in life, he'll always have that wonderful example of how to live a good life and pursue and work hard for his dreams.
Thanks Joe!! We sure do love ya!!! :)
Now, back to chewing me nails.........

Chee..... No worries MOM....lol..... It's only natural to feel that way. As parents we always want the best for our children. Our boys will be leaving the house soon and it's going to be so different for Cindy and I. But thier leaving us knowing we were the best we could be for them. Joe is a huge influence on many levels for a lot of people. He inspiers me everyday. But I think you're shadowing Chris' biggest influence......YOU...... God love ya sweetie. He'll be fine. Hugs to you and your family.

Delfino Pie-
a little bit of Journey to start off your weekend, nice…
I’ll take…
’ASK THE LONELY’
and
’SWEET AND SIMPLE’
beautiful songs…
but somehow my music selection always drifts back to Joe Satriani... I think I’ll listen to ‘UNTIL WE SAY GOODBYE’…then, who knows where?...maybe, SURFIN WITH THE ALIEN’…
endless possibilities…

Hi
I joined a few days ago and this is my first posting. I haven't been listening to Joe for very long but what i've heard has made me sit down and think about how i've approached my guitar. Can anyone tell me what effect Joe was using that made his guitar sound like a church organ in the greeting video?

i swear,
Rubina and Rubina's Blue Sky Happiness are the most beautiful songs!.....theres just SO many emotions and feelings in these songs. Same with Until We Say Goodbye, Love Thing etc..... but those 2 songs.....i think are really the most beautiful. I dont know, its to hard for me to choose that kinda thing. haha....

ZINC Master: Steven Wilde is alive and well....not well actually. Which is par for the course for Steven. I Jammed with him and recorded some more "virtual" tracks at his place recently and he is still coming up with some cool new stuff. Shredd of course. Thanks for asking. We are trying to go throught the "Best" of the stuff we've done as of late....to put on the web site. Our digital sales have blossomed this month and last. Almost 500 hits on just one song!!! "Rock me Gently," our only lullaby, has stepped out as the front runner. Kinda preachy, but fun enough from us. Check out AboveTheNumbers.com for more music from Steven and ...Me.

Ken, Stevee T, illuminata, Suzie.....
We survived, LOL!! Chris feels he did well on his speech and ended up with a B+. They liked his song :) ....even though the cd player shut off at one point and he had to start it again and fast forward....he handled the pressure well.
I had bought him dress pants, shirts, belt, tie, shoes....and he wore everything except the "stoopid tie mom", LOL.... I suppose the outfit worked wiffout it... ;)
So now we wait for final grades to see if he passed everything and can go on to graduation June 11th....keeping my fingers crossed....I need to grow my nails out again now, LOL!!
So tonight...eye yam a proud cheese! :D

random thoughts..........
A suggestion if anyone hasn't listened to an old but never dated masterpiece try Passion, Grace and Fire featuring Al Di Meola, John McLaughlin, and Paco De Lucia. If you want to taken away just close your eyes.....I am sure Joe has enjoyed this one.
Another: Return To Forever's Romantic Warrior well if you don't know about it you certainly will be awakened. Check out "any" Return To Forever's release featuring Al Dimeola, Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White and other top players. You will enter a world of some of the greatest musicans you will ever hear.
I also just finished listening to Alex Masi's "In the Name of Beethoven". Jaw to the floor, amazing.
Also Stanley Jordan's "Standards, Vol. 1" and "Magic Touch". Truly one of the best guitarists (now on Favored Nations label) in the world with a mastering of tapping beyond all others. It boggles the mind to think he is all that you hear and he still fly's below the radar as far as popularity. I would think that it would be incredible to have him on board for G3. Talk about Diversity. And many of you have seen those blank stares in the audience at Joe's concerts well you will be guilty of that watching this man play. If you have never heard of him you have missed so much..........I had a great night of music and bs with friends. I wonder if many of you have some secret music that you feel is magic?...........I know Joe of course but beyond Saint Joe.
Just some random thoughts and BTW Kayla no problem it wasn't hard to post the truth.

I can't wait........i can't wait...OK OK I know I have to...but it's so close....so close I can almost touch it now....aaaaagh
Cheese101 - that was too quick I was just about to say hope chis gets on OK and I am thinking of you and biting my nails too...and there you are again saying its all over....well done to Chris then....hehe
snafu - Oh that's so sad....we get so attached to our pets don't we...I have never been so heartbroken as when our cat Bear died...we had nursed him almost back to health....then...well I have never heard a cat screem like that before he died.....my heart really felt broken...i mean really....its so nice you called your Husky Satch though....I think there are all sorts of things named after Joe in one way or another....mostly guitars...but pets...cars...mugs...computers....me! you name it....lol
Anyway I am sure you will have many more years of Joy listening to Joe and maybe....one day...when the hurt is gone...you can share it with a new dog....or what/whoever.
Travis....ohhhh so sorry I got talking to that teenager i was telling you about.....you didn't offend me...I was just kidding....oh it probably looked like I wasn't speaking to you or something...sorry wasn't like that at all....you signed off just as I got back....
Hugs to all Satriella xx
