The following made me chuckle....
Wife on phone to Newcastle venue to confirm no probs for children to attend. Says City Hall person 'No probs at all for children to attend but we supply earplugs to protect delicate ears'. Wife 'Oh, i'll definitely want some of those'. Son 'Aw mum, I don't want any, I won't use them!'. Wife 'Shush, they're for me not you!'.
Keep rocking everyone
Steve.

Lol- not so bad as when Matt was about 13 he had to go to watch AC-DC with his dad (who hates rock music) - and his dad sat down reading the paper all the way through... cringe

Yo satch i enjoyed ya g3 concerts
Have you ever considered doing a g3 tour with kirk hammett.
It sounds like a good idea.
I like your music its awesome.
I also play the guitar as well one tip i need of you
is how to use the whammy bar like you to to creat the screaming type of effect because when i use it it it just sounds like a normal wham bar sound.
Do you use harmonics when you do it is there a certain effect on your effects pedals please post back satch.
Have fun on tour and kick ass ill see u at one of them.

Crush Of Love - Yngwie won't be supporting, because a) he doesn't do supporting these days and b) he's just finished a world tour.
I've heard that Johnny A. is supporting Joe.

I was Just going to say that i remember i heard joe for the first time when i was five cause you see, on the Playstation one the first ever formula1 game contained two of Joe's songs one being The Summer Song and the other being Back To Shalla Bal and i have been hooked since then i have managed to make up the whole collection of Satriani CD's but i have never been to see Joe Live until. But one day i shall venture into the distance (to the end of my drive) with a ticket and see the Magician Live by driving my heap to the holy ground.

Hey all you Satch heads! I have a treat for you. Rumor has it, Rob Balducci (From FAVORED NATIONS / A Steve Vai label) is going on tour. Rob reminds me of Satriani in many ways. Dave Weiner (from the Steve Vai band) is also going on a 5+ city tour with Rob at the end of July, 2006.

MIKE SB Hey man, thanks for the link, but the videos were down this am, but I'll try again later. Love the female guitarists! Never enough.
ANTON AND GUITARMEISTER Before I get into UFC I thought I would let you guys know of this experience I had this last week. 2 guys came to my door last week from the LDS Church, the Mormons. Nice guys, typically dressed in a white shirt and tie, etc. So I struck up a conversation with these guys. They were missionary college students from Utah. It was strange that they showed up after I had just completed a DNA research study (DNA vs The Book of Mormon), so we talked and made an appointment for last night. They came back and I invited them in. The first think that attracted their attention was my bass hanging on the wall. The second thing was the picture of Joe I had hanging among a bunch of other pictures. Both said "Joe Satriani is the Best man, we love Joe!" I almost had a heart attack. Here are 2 conservative christian mormon ELDERS who love Joe! Right on! They asked if I had the new SC cd and that was that. "Play some cuts of the cd". I'm a bass player. "We dont care, and crank it up"! What about the purpose of your visit. "Later." So I proceed to play a few cuts off the cd along with the cd. They were having a great time! Then they wanted me to play Crowd Chant. No can do, too little bass. Think of something, they said, its out favorite. Well, I hooked up the DT BP200 and decided I would try to echo Joes lead licks. Never tried that before on bass. I dont know what DL does during Crowd Chant, but this seemed to work. They were singing and chanting! 2 Mormon elders! It was fun. So now they are going to bring some other guys from the church to jam. Joe has a religious following here. But when you come to think of it Joe's music is very appealing to all walks of life because its not offensive in any way. Especially when you compare it to the rest of the crap thats out there. Cool huh?
UFC I agree with both of you. I missed the latest Ultimate again so thanks for the update. I'll try to catch the repeat. You know I never heard of Kendall Grove before this show. I think he trains in Maui, but I'm not sure. Good ground game. Fun to watch. The heavyweight battle should be interesting. Andre is unpredictable, and Silvia is one big boy with heavy hands and feet. His flexibility is remarkable and of course the reach. Shoud be another good fight. Did you guys see the US vs Canada series? I missed that too. What were the results? There are some bad dudes up in Canada.
For me, I like to throw elbows, knees, and bat kicks in standing. Mostly Thai kickboxing which has taken a back seat to Muay Thai, Similar but updated. On the ground in the mount its passing guard and ground and pound with elbows. I try not to use hands so I can play the bass. A guy once bit my thumb and tore the tendons and stretched all the ligaments. In submission, its the triangle and pound, if necessary. We dont fight in a cage, but on a mat without boundaries, so its a little different.
Well, I got to go pick up an incline bench for the gym today and I've about used up all the characters. So you guys have a great weekend. G.

Extremist85- hey man.... to do that satch patented move you use harmonics....pretty easy after you do it a couple imes, i think he uses his left thumb and holds it over the E and B strings at the bridge pickup and plays the harmonic there, then pulls the whammy bar up.... experiment, you'll get it, i cant play one song and i can do it.
