Ok when is enough enough and it becomes maybe........time for an intervention? How many times can one person watch the Live in San Francisco DVD. I know it backwards forwards upside down and inside out. I encouraged the wife to go shopping to get a chance to see the whole concert 2 days after seeing Joe.......strange thing is you would have thought seeing Joe and the gang live only days prior would have been enough.........it wasn't. So how many times is to many? I am afraid to admit how many.........maybe it's time to seek help...maybe I should go see Air Supply or Celine Dion and sober up....:>)

Hey Satchland,
Satriella I am excited for you!!...it is June and I can feel your excitement all the way here in NYC....these are the memories that make life sooo enjoyable...so nice to hear your joy....Also saw your lovely picture of Kayla...very cool...You inspired me to do more art with my students...I am presently teaching precious first graders... I teach them things that will inspire them...maybe above what is typical...we worked with Vincent vanGogh, Paul Klee, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and Claude Monet this week....Let me tell you, they just love it!!...You may enjoy reading about Paul Klee, he inspires the individual spirit...in an uplifting way....Picture this Sandy...the kids doing art while listening to Joe....they are loving his music!!....They ask me every day to put on one of his CDs...BTW..Any art tips you can suggest for the little ones will be very much appreciated....
Kayla thanks for asking for guitar tips from the Satchland community...the tips are helping me too!!!
Satchland....QUESTION for ya....this is a whole new world to me...Just wondering what you all thought were the 10 top guitar songs of all time??....I just recently discovered Joe, Vai, and Thal....duh!!!...hey better late than never...but I am loving my new education....going all the way back to Robert Johnson....What a beautiful instrument!!....my grandpa played the mandolin, so maybe there is some talent in my genes....One of my "new" favorite songs is Jimi's "VooDoo Child."..double duh!!! Well would love insight from any of the talented guitarists in Satchland..Hey Joe, do you have any thoughts on the subject?????

Clarky: That's a great idea! It'll save you time too. That way you don't have to retype your advice whenever someone asks you, you can just say "go to such and such..." I've started writing out articles for some of the questions I get asked alot.

illuminata wow, i wouldn't dare to suggest just 10 songs, i'll pick a 100 and it still wouldn't be enough for me!!!... i have a few suggestions for you, not rock, but guitar oriented, there are a little different, try to check them out:
SRV's Lenny, live at carnegie hall
Al di Meola's Dark Eye Tango, Mediterranean Sundance and Fantasia Suite...
Joe Pass' CED, How high the moon, Night and day (these last two from his 'virtuoso 1' album)...
Lee Ritenour's Bahia Funk
George Benson's Breezin'
Tomatito's Paseo de los Castaņos and La Vacilona
Gipsy Kings' Allegria
shit, this is impossible, i haven't even started... i think i'm gonna let you check these out first... that, if you are interested, of course...
picking 10 is too hard!!! i can't do it!!!

Kayla............I am floored by your wonderful explanation to Joe on the in love with what he does and not IN love with him. You are mature beyond your years. I don't think Joe could wish for a better fan. I am fairly new here and I don't know you or the things that make you sad. If they have been touched on here I am sorry I didn't catch it. Trust me many have deep wounds and each of us live with them every day.....chin up and it's nice to know so many here find a way to escape these wounds with there favorite music.......music (Joe's especially) always makes me smile and takes hurt away and I think it's a good friend to have..............

ITS THE SECOND OF JUNE PEOPLE....AAAAAAGH!
MY ACTUAL DREAM IS GONNA COME TRUE SO SOON!
HUGS SATRIELLA XX
illuminata - Hmmm tips.....cosmic ape would probably be better at that...he is an artist...I am just a hobbiest...or inmysparetimist....I am not sure what age first graders are....but for example I would cut out pictures of say eyes....ask what shape they are...most will say round or oval...and they will draw a round or oval eye....then get them to look at all the different shaped eyes you will have cut out.....there is such a variety of whatever feature you are drawing.....best phrase..."Draw what you actually see....not what you think you see"...its all in the shading really too
keniko - FUN FUN FUN!
gottahaveJoe - Don't worry honey it's not gonna be seen by many people...glad you like it now!
einsteinm - BONJOUR! (don't speak in French to me...coz thats as much as I know...still struggling with english!)
962 - My mate who came down is doing a six month intensive Russian language training course!...oh love you tunes sweety!!!!!!
davealan - OK...OK...OK...send me your face!!!! Seek help...no.....watch it again!!!! Stay drunk on JOE!....hmmm...deep wounds...now you got me worried...are you OK?
mthead101 - I think I have a pciture of you....but you can send me another one just in case!
The Forgotten Boy - Lovely speaking with you! sorry I had to go so quick!
ovation! - perfect balance!
one more thing...............................................................

Satriella.........so happy for you really. I can remember my first Satch show FIABD tour........Beacon Theater in NYC Stevie Salas opened for Joe. I was so excited more so than any other concert and I had seen a lot all ready. I was left speechless weeks earlier after seeing The Chick Corea Elektric band with Chick Corea of course, Dave Weckl (my #1 drummer, sorry Jeff:) John Patitucci on bass. A 3 piece fusion Jazz band and three of the top musicians in any genre. Well I never listened to Jazz until that night and I was blown away at the sheer force of this trio. Fusion Jazz with such power. Then I saw Joe. Electricity an awe and anxiety of not knowing what to expect. I mean you see Judas Priest you know what to expect, you see Dio you know but an instrumentalist who the F knew what was going to happen. WWWWWWWWOOOOWWWWW he was awesome. Jonathan Mover on drums (close #1) and STUU. It has gotten better each time but it was a special night because for the first time a musician was giving me what I always wanted in music....emotion, texture, melody and uniqueness. Joe gave me what I always loved about music, the guitar solo. Again so happy for you.

Howzit ladies and gentlemen. Man, it is HOT AND HUMID over here. On top of that the electric company deliberately shut off power to all south shore on one of the hottest days I can remember. This island is getting over populated and yet they still continue to build without thinking of lack of resources. Anyway, MIKE SB and 962 thanks for the names. Jennifer Batten is hot as well as Mimi Fox. Ana Popovic gets down as well, alot of versatility. Like her website Mike. Going to check out more of these ladies when I get the time.
MTHEAD101 How you doing bruddah? Healing up alright? Good time for your friends to go out and rent some movies for you to catch up on.
ANTON SHRED/GUITARMIESTER Alright! A couple of UFC fans. I missed UFC 60 and tried my best to catch it. I guess I'll see it one day. It was a surprise to hear it ended by submission in the first. Thats the ultimate insult to a Gracie. Being submitted by a submission expert. MH is one strong dude. You got to have it all to be a champion these days. Royce lacks strength and a few other things I cant pinpoint. You guys watch K-1 or Pride? We got this dude Jason "Mayhem" Miller who, if you dont know him is 6'1" and about 180. He took on this guy last weekend 6'7" 375 and submitted him in the first 20 seconds of the 1st round. This boy is bad. He just got out of jail for working over his ex girlfriends new boyfriend! Wild child! Guitarmiester, Shamrock was a good fighter, he just has problems coaching. Looks like he likes to relax, bowl, and eat cake, but I dont think he's into the coach thing. Great series though. I was working out at this gym in Waikiki and Kimo came in one day. Remember watching him vs RG with the cross tatoo on his back? Well this was afterward and he had Jesus tatooed onto the cross, and added alot more to his body. He is one intimidating guy. Good thing he's a minister!
Tony, it would be nice to meet the fam. Let me know when they are due to arrive and at what hotel they will be staying at. Name, room number, etc. I'll take them around if they want. If its their first time here it would be a good idea. Especially if they want to get in the water and who doesnt? Summer, surf is up on the south shore and Waikiki. I'm basically a bodysurfer, but I board surf as well, soooo let me know buddy. Keep pumping the iron bro. Pretty impressive workout routine you have there. Keep on truckin........
I B GONE.......................G Hey, I can be nice..................
