waterproof soap, cool, it's nice to hear your thoughts on the sound of the tune......and you're absolutely right, the overall sound was very important so I gave it a lot of thought, so I'm really pleased that it turned out ok!

Thanks for going back to check out my other stuff too!

As for the prescription drugs to sort out the George W-induced headache......ummmm, is morphine a prescription drug?! haha.

I reckon a good solution would just be to eliminate the source of the problem; get rid of George W Bush and ta-daa, no more headaches!

Addam Fox, nice!

mikesb...... Whew ! ! ! ! That's the Way God Planned It is a very fitting way to remember Billy Preston. What a great concert. The Concert for Bangala Desh. I wore that album out. I saw a glimpse of Jessie Ed Davis, another fine guitarist and a good friend to George. I also remember Billy being a part of the famous Apple Records roof top concert with....of coarse...The Beatles. Man those were the days......

God Bless you Billy.

Edit.....I may just have to go out and get that CD.

KENIKO- Lucky Cindy! Wow- I don't break up from work until about July 25th... roll on that day! Good to hear your boys are doing well too. Matt and I are doing a gig at St Paul's Church in Covent Garden, London in October, looking forward to that! Matt says thanks for your kind comments :)

PAULEMOZ- Still no news- will emal Etix again in a couple of days (as they said they would be e-mailing early this week and have still not heard anything...) Will post if I hear anything more!

MICHELLE- Do you remember that awful photo of DLR in his paramedic uniform? Ewwww...

CLARKY- Ok will see you there:) Except wearing a Satch t-shirt may not make you easy to spot lol...

CAPTAIN STEVE- How's your week going?

DELFINO- lol, good to hear you are enjoying yourself :)

SLANSHROOM- Sorry to hear about your bad experience- and your hand too! Hope it heals up soon...

DW_HBK You don't need Boss DS-1 with Marshall AVT100. Channel OD2 has so much drive that it is insane. When playing live I do most of the solos on OD1 cause I find it sufficient when the amp is cranked up for live use, even though it is not sufficiently loud to compete with drums, singer's voice in monitors and my half-deaf bassist's bass rig. I suggest you rather invest in Wah pedal or something like that (chorus maybe?). I use DS-1 with Marshall JCM900 4100 (100W head and 4x12 box - 1960A 300W) in configuration: guitar to wah, to DS-1 and straight to guitar input on the amp. It's also good to have delay and maybe chorus (which I find unnecessary most of the time) in the efx loop. AVT has valve pre and solid state output and I find it too buzzy on the top end (sounding like a cheap distortion pedal some moments), but it's cool to carry around the studios and gigs. My advice is go for full valve sound of Marshall TSL or even better for one of JSX versions. I tried JSX at the local music store few days ago and it blew me away. It really does everything that advertizement says and it's a joy to play on it. I started saving for it. JOE RULES!

Hey Joe, I've got some orignal stuff that I've posted on Bandmix.com, and I wanted your opinion on it. (http://bandmix.com/profile72744.html ) I know that you'll be limited in your assesment because it's only a couple of seconds - I don't want to let the whole song out for public domain, but I DO wish I could post just a few more seconds. One of those "too tight to pay" sort of things. And another thing - what is the best way for a guy on a $2 budget to get the attention of a producer somewhere? I'd kind of like to do the job myself, but I can't afford it right now, but I don't want to lose my music to the "big labels" so guys like you can play it. Nothing against you, and I would personally like to see that happen - I know this stuff can improve. But I want to retain the rights so I can do whatever I want to with my music. ( Maybe I've just heard too many nightmare senarios. ) So, any hints? And last, but not least, I met one of your "roadies" ( Julia James ) at my aunt's wedding last fall. She was going on about how "totally awesome" you were, and I found myself thinking, Man, how is it that the people who can play never seem to be able to get back there and meet these famous musicians? Just an odd thought. That ought to one of Murphy's Law's under Musician's Paradox. Anyway, thanks, and I'll talk to you later.
