Zen:Your beer???I thought you didn’t drink? Talking of which, i,ve not had one in over 2 weeks….that’s a world record for me lol

Climber:lol J Healeys not 2 shabby eh, outplayed SRV hmm, he has a different take alright, I wouldn’t like t judge.J.H. has a rockier blues edge & leans more to escaping the chordal boundaries of blues Stevie sticks more to classic blues progs, although has to be said tortured souls the 2 of em, that’s audible. The bonus is Jeff is still with us!

Dr GROWLER:Well done doc! Its always good to see the hard work pay off. That guitar head of Healeys did look a bit ominous at one point I must admit, lol.

Healey outplaying SRV…well I respect both, each have their qualitys, although Stevie looked unsettled about something, i thought the vibe wasn’t the same as the other guys i,ve seen him jam with like Albert King or Jeff Beck.It could have been a surprise stunt pulled by the TV network to gain a bigger viewing audience by having the 2 play together, who knows.

As far as power is concerned, y,ll be hard pushed to find anyone who can deliver a single note like SRV or punch/kick with as much speed and power as Bruce Lee kick & 1” punch at the end of this clip.As you know Lees early years with Yip man studyingWing Chun served him well, man i never did manage to get really good at sticking hands, had to leave for Barcelona .

My partner though has been studying at the Wu Shu Centre here North Shaolin forms & passed her 2nd exam recently to Orange.Good thing is she gets extra info from the peeps that have studied Hung Gar Muy Thai & Jujitsu. In just under a year she has transformed her physical & mental attitudes, its really quite amazing to watch her grow, then again, the maestro there aint no idiot, lol Laters G

Madam Foxx - You kill me man! LMSLAO

Bah Duh - At least Ingerland will do better than India at the world cup! LOL

Peeps wondering about cameras etc at Joe shows....

There was a veritable sea of camera phones being held in the air at Newcastle (a bit like those dicks who hold lighted candles up), others were also openly taking shots with and without flash from more convential cameras. This was all seemingly without reproach. Now backstage I am sure will be an entirely different kettle of fish.

Hope this helps.

Rock on everyone

Steve.

captainsteve.........no doubt about that....for india to do well they will have to qualify first which i am sure will never happen.......never as long as i am alive coz the infrastructure here sucks and is worse than in any other country...corruption and favouritism prevails even in sports here....... now to england, well do not be too disappointed if they happen to meet germany in the second round and go out..i give them maximum qr finals,,that too if they beat their second round opponent.........and one more thing........i hope england does better in the one day series....already lost the first one............enjoy the world cup.....cheers.........

peace.

5 hours time and the show will be starting, hells yeah!

Seeing as I think we're allowed to take photos I'm going to do a picture story and post it in a myspace blog so people can read it if they want, it should be pretty awesome and I'm front row centre so the pics of Joe should be absolutely awesome.

Cockernee lot - I hope you lot have better manners than some of the warts that went to the Newcastle gig. There were a good few empty seats when Johnny A started his set, some peeps were drifting in late once he had started and quite a few were making their way in when his set was well underway. Some even got up and buggered off back put to wait for Joe. Of course once Joe came on, the only use for the seats was for some of the vertically challenged (my son being one of them) to stand on.

Have a great night peeps.

Steve.

can anyone help me understand sumpin'....?

In the original Godzilla movies.....what was Godzilla's agenda??
Godzilla never actually ate any of the people in the train passenger cars..........

And......what were they doing blaring a loudspeaker ?"

"hmmmm....I think I'll cower in this trench while the loudspeaker announces my location to a 200 ft. tall gekko with pyroclastic breath!!

Kayla............nice to see you "catchin' the thrill" make sure your amp is all the way up to 11!!..uhmmm...oh..infinity...forgot about the new ones Nigel is playin' now!!!

Satriella Your big day is here.......i'll bet that after the show it'll take a week before you can feel your feet touching the ground.....I'm stoked for ya!!!

Growler well done on the Phd.........i must confess..i transgress on the five string bass..but i feel it too man.....damn those keyboards....they made me do it!!......right on the mark with Billy Cox...four strings are all that is needed....the fifth one to me is like the optional power windows....and it took me three years to get comfortable with it....I'm just grateful that it didn't have a re-bound into the string bass realm....the fifth string would've been as thick as this post!!!(ps. the C extension was bad enuff!!)

Illuminata always nice to see one candle lighting another!! Your nickname is very appropriate and your comments are the kind of fuel that powers a paradigm shift thats just outright awesome!!!

ALL DADS........HERE"S A PIECE OF FATHERS DAY INTROSPECTION:
(warning..the following message may contain Suessical notation!)

You are Father
I am Son
This can't be changed
by anyone.

If we concurr
or disagree
this truth
remains...........

I'll find your face
within this mirror
As I grow old
The vision , clearer.

I am self
and yet I'm made
from someone else.

**********************

I am Father
and You are Son
My role has changed
Now both in one.

We all remain
In this domain
forever joined.

I gaze on life
within it's youth
Familiar smiles
And subtle truth,

Of where I'm from,
and where I'll be......
Right in front of me.

Peace...............................................John

Nestle to buy Jenny Craig for $600 million

VEVEY, Switzerland - In a new twist in corporate synergy, Nestle AG, the world's biggest food and drink company, said Monday it will fatten up its weight-loss business by buying Jenny Craig Inc. for $600 million.

The current management team of Jenny Craig, which is based in Carlsbad, Calif., will continue to run the business and report directly to Nestle, the Swiss company said in a statement.

Nestle is buying Jenny Craig — which employs more than 3,000 people — from two private equity groups, ACI Capital and MidOcean Partners. The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter, the private equity firms said in a statement.

Weight management will become a new business within Nestle's nutrition unit and will reinforce its U.S. presence. The Swiss company already owns the Lean Cuisine line of foods.

"With this strategic acquisition, the group takes another important step in its transformation process into a nutrition, health and wellness company," said Nestle Chairman and Chief Executive Peter Brabeck-Letmathe.

"The rise of obesity and the resulting metabolic disorders, such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease, is a major public health concern, not only in the USA but also the world over," Brabeck-Letmathe said.

Jenny Craig, which has more than 600 weight-loss centers in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand, generated sales of more than $400 million in the past 12 months and achieved double-digit internal growth.
