Joe just in case you do actually have time to read all of these I want to apologise on behalf of the people who were at Manchester Apollo on 16/06 (06/16 to u) I last saw you in the early 90's and as well as Vai, Gary Moore, SRV, Slash, Hendrix you have been a major influence on not only making me want to play guitar but the way I play and feel the guitar. For me seeing you was for I imagine like a lot of people seeing Hendrix for the first time years ago. Do you think that the people who saw Hendrix would actually have stayed sat down for the whole show and then not even stood up at the end. I appreciate not everyone can stand up but I would have thought the majority would! We stood up for 5 mins hoping everyone would follow suit but they didnt. I have listened to your music since I was 12 (14 years ago) and listen/play your stuff most days, therfore when I see it for real I close my eyes and let myself go. Near the end I met a lad who felt the same, then there was a few more and when Summer Song came on we were both going for it! A venue like that can t ake the seats out and it should have done, if not people should stand up at the very least to show their respect for one of the greatest guitarists who has ever lived! Everyone I talked to said they wanted to stand up but waited, I saw Vai at Newcastle and Joe and everyone stood up as they did with Whitesnake. Im not from Manchester and proud of it after what I saw. Joe next time just tell them to stand up they all wanted too and everyone would have had a better time, bloody british reserved attitude I hate it. Well rant over and do want to say an amazing show and yet again an amazing guitarist, some people would have gone stale over this amount of years and albums but Joe is certainly still at the front edge, I salute you!!!!!!

Bad reputation - You say you are from Leeds, well you should be ashamed of yourself hanging around with Mancs! Joe is a Leeds fan and only played manchester because he lost a bet.

Keep rocking

SLANSHROOM Thanks for the links to the references buddy. My Sifu recently had a stroke and is now disabled but he does get out at times. Its a shame, he was such a soft, humble man, but overweight and had poor eating habits. A group of us went to Hong Kong awhile back to visit some of the wing chun academy schools of which there are few remaining. It was disappointing to see how their discipline of form has disintegrated over the years. We just enjoy the art and want it passed down in its proper form. Because it is a soft style it works well with the ladies and its fun to chi sao with girls. They can do some damage. Love it though. The greatest thing that really sold me on wing chun vs the other forms is of course the 3 sets. All other forms such as tiger crane, pm, dm, etc involve multiple sets. I'm not good with memorization so.....that leaves more time for engagement. Well, I'm not going to talk your ear off this late at night. I agree with your insight on drug abuse recovery systems. Unless youve been there and done that you have no perspective or expertise on arriving at a successful outcome. Besides, work is required to take the mind off the condition. Otherwise you tend to dwell on your problems. That aint good. Good talking with you. Have a good night. GRRowler out.....................

A little test to do at your desk.....How Smart Is Your Right Foot?

TRY THIS NOW!

This is so funny that it will boggle your mind. And you will keep trying it at least 50 more times to see if you can outsmart your foot. But you can't!!!

1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction.

And there is nothing you can do about it.

Super Colossal and The Electric Joe Satriani, an anthology will do the trick. Although the anthology is essentially a greatest hits album. Surfing with the alien is IMHO a must have, and The extremist supplied a couple or more tracks that night.

Keep rocking
