HrHFish..... Yes, I wish I could be at the concert. Actually England is one of the places I'd like to visit before my ashes turn to dust. Along with a cruise and a visit to Hawaii. Anyway, thanks for asking my opinion on the equipment. The yellow Frank Gambale model you're referring to is a Saber. Those are great guitars and are starting to be considered "Rare". So if you can get one of those ...GREAT. The Roland guitar synth? Well, everyone knows Roland wrote the book on guitar synthisis. If you're going guitar synth I'd strongly recommend Roland. Charvel.....not to sure on those but I checked out the Van Halen model at a recent guitar show and it played real nice. I hope this helps. Take Care my friend.

Was out on another CD binge... picked up (finally) Andy Timmons - Resolution! I was amazed the one store had it in! Also got Symphony X - Divine Wings of Tragedy, and Paul Gilbert - Space Ship One. Was listening to Racer X last night, so needed some more Pablo. Almost got a few others, I'll go back for them: Vai - Sex & Religion : Opeth - Ghost Reveries : Queensryche - Livecrime : Fates Warning - live DVD : Van Halen - One of their live DVD's, not sure which one to get.
Suzie2000 Jane's Addiction is cool, haven't listened to them in a while. Speaking of Kashmir... I picked up the Zepplin double disc DVD two weeks ago... great stuff on it.
Dave624 I'll listen to those songs, then let you know what he used.

Students find ring tone adults can't hear
NEW YORK - Students are using a new ring tone to receive messages in class -- and many teachers can't even hear the ring.
Some students are downloading a ring tone off the Internet that is too high-pitched to be heard by most adults. With it, high schoolers can receive text message alerts on their cell phones without the teacher knowing.
As people age, many develop what's known as aging ear -- a loss of the ability to hear higher-frequency sounds.
The ring tone is a spin-off of technology that was originally meant to repel teenagers -- not help them. A Welsh security company developed the tone to help shopkeepers disperse young people loitering in front of their stores while leaving adults unaffected. The company called their product the "Mosquito."
Donna Lewis, a teacher in Manhattan, says her colleague played the ring for a classroom of first-graders -- and all of them could hear it, while the adults couldn't hear anything.

Hey Satchland,
Satriella...I am counting the days with you...imagine your enthusiasm is traveling the world.... your exuberance is contagious..my little munchkins do play the air guitar...it is very cute...the class age is about 7 years old... My students listen to Joe of course, now that I have discovered him!!! But they also enjoy other genres.... John Coltrane, Al Green, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra...had them listening to British Blues today...amazing stuff...Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton...etc....Satriella used your advice with art today...we were doing da Vinci...so they worked on portraits....and inventions too..but when they did the portraits I told them to draw what they actually saw not what they thought things looked like...thanks...oh btw I told them an artist from England them sent me this lesson........that's you!
Thanks all for the great links....the sharing on this site is just very very enjoyable.....Ovation still can't believe a guy on the other side of the world shared info that sent me to a gig in NYC...what a great world!!!
Thanks for sharing your mind with us!!
Congratulations Cheese...to you and your son....I could picture your son with his guitar...and so proud of himself with his educational accomplishment.....Great job!
AND Ms. Kayla...your posting about your brother, and the attitude in your family....hit me where I live....when I was born my dad told my mom that she "goofed" because I was a GIRL........may I say to you that you must never give up...I was the first person in my family to graduate college...and I now have 3 college degrees...Did it with very little encouragement....but not having support CAN HURT YOUR HEART....AND ALTER YOUR JOURNEY..I tell my son and my daughter to follow their dreams, I encourage my students as well, year after year...believe in yourself....I just started to play the guitar....and discovering things I didn't perceive as mine to acquire...
And Ms. Kayla...this is for you...the world is yours grab it!!! Don't let any one ever stop you...find your bliss...live your life....fully....it took a car accident....for me to really see that this is it....you live now!!! I am so enjoying the "music" now.....when I was a kid so many of the boys played guitar, drums, keyboards...and joined bands...were free to create and find themselves etc...nice cool guys..very talented....the girls weren't encouraged in this way...but it was actually my brother's best friend who looked for me many years later....and sent me a beautiful acoustic guitar....shout out to my best friend....Joey, a truly gifted musician and a man with a poet's heart....wouldn't ya know it...I was his muse....he opened this beautiful musical world to me..........................
keep playing Kayla....and I hope there is some guitarist out there who can send you a most beautiful guitar....mine has pretty butterflies embedded in it...signifies my metamorphosis.....one day lovely lady...you will walk in a store....and buy yourself the guitar of your dreams...I guarantee it!!...you have what it takes....individuality, courage, and spirit....I think Mr. Satriani can see that too...right Joe???................
Have a beautiful day all...............illuminataxxxooo

Very unusual - I heard about it on the radio this morning - younger teachers can hear the ring, but older ones cannot - kids were using them to cheat.

You are ancient then - huh?
You must remember the days of disco, 8 tracks, Beta, and reel to reel movies at school.
Do you remember when bread wasn't sliced?

Dave624 Checked out 2:10 into Searching...Joe uses a delay pedal for that sound, he has the # of repeats maxed out, level anywhere you want, and then plays around with the delay time. Check out the G3 Tokyo DVD, he plays Searching and you'll see him do that, doesn't show the settings, but that's how to do it.

Misty Angel - When I posted my words to 'Ten words' you said you were thinking of something very similar. Well I have a small 'present' for you.
A Kayla (cool) new way
The words should start about 33 seconds in.
Well I'm thin-king of Joe when I wake
His music's always running all through my head
He's just the finest that I've heard
The best when all is done and all is said
Man I love the way he plays that thing
Man he really makes it sing
I just love the way he plays that thing
Man he really makes it sing
Then wait til about 2 mins 37 in and.....
I hear his music all day long now
Til it's time I go to bed
Yes I love that sweet sweet music
Washing round and round my head.
Hope you like it, don't lose hope girl, your time will come. I know it can be difficult but try to be patient.
'Uncle' Steve.

Hey KAYLA
Those of us here who have had the chance to read your posts and chat with you,
have come love you young lady......I'm sure you know the particular ones I am speaking of.
When I say "love" I am talking about a selfless admiration that comes without conditions or strings attached......
Try......if you can......to resist thinking of unfairness.......jealousy.......these things will hurt you far more than any actions or thoughtless responses from others
We care about you......the heart you have shared with us is a beautiful and thoughtful one........... Illuminata has made a post that....in my humble opinion.....needs to be read more than just a few times............
Seeing your fresh, admiring words for Joe...and how his music inspires you, re-awakens my inspiration........and consecrates my faith in a benevolent creator........
HOLD YOUR HEAD HIGH>>>>AND KNOW THAT YOU HAVE THE RESPECT AND APPRECIATION OF MANY
Peace ................................................John
