Prince Fishy - I thoroughly enjoyed the show but there were a few things which took the edge off so I remain the only living person to have been at a Joe concert and didn't find it AWESOME. I posted earlier so if you get round to that and combine with this post you'll have a fair idea of my thoughts.
The 'things' which took the edge off were nothing to do with the show itself though.
The only criticism I would have of Joe was that (for me anyway) he did the single high note 'screaming' thing a bit too often. Having said that, he must have done some good stuff 'cause the two hours he was on stage passed in what seemed like no time.
Keep rocking
teve.

It would be pretty weird if we each had an
evil twin.
And while I would be disappointed
if it turned out *I* was the evil one,
it certainly would explain a lot.

Holmes - I am genuinely pleased for you and all the others who have found Joe to be on fire. The first I heard of Joe was the ITLIS album and I was blown away and everything I have seen since on here, in chat, e-mails and on messenger is that he is awesome live. Maybe I expected too much, but don't get me wrong, I was not disappointed with the show, just not blown away as I expected.
Keep rocking
Steve.

Thanks for a great night in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall on Sunday 18th June.
We had a fantastic time and were in the second row. Unfortunately we never managed to catch one of the plectrums you threw into the audience. Maybe next time.
We really enjoyed your special guest Johnny A and your set was fantastic, loved your guitar with your face on it.
You made a 44 & 45 year old very happy.
Look forward to seeing you next time. Thanks for a great evening.

CAPTAIN STEVE- you grumpy ol' sod... lol.... Holmes. Maybe catch you in the chat one of these days! - I gave the model of Picard to Joe by the way:)
MARI- sorry to read you're down about it all still :( You saw Joe seven times? I can only dream of that, look on the bright side of that at least... I'm sure your time will come, you are a very talented photographer:) Hope you are ok.
ZENFISH- I know you're not a big fan of Petrucci... but his style does appeal to me, each to their own I suppose. Am still on a high after the Joe gig! Hope you are well.
DELFINO- lol, very entertaining pics/ blog... sounds like you had a great time:) Great pics btw.
PAULEMOZ- Not sure if I missed a post of yours- so how was the gig? (Like I need to ask!)
MTHEAD- Thanks- it was a great time meeting up with Zenfish andf Joelle. Super-cool people!
BAHDUH- Thanks for the posts- seeing Joe was unbelievable. I still cannot believe how blown away I was by the concert and meeting Joe. The whole evening was perfect:) Yep by the sounds of it England were lucky in the end... not sure if it's looking too good for winning the finals, what do you think? lol :)
CLARKY- that's the 4th time we've ALMOST met you- lol, do you really exist I wonder...? Glad you had a good time yesterday:)
FLOSS- I agree, Joe does seem to look younger and younger! Maybe there is something to be said for playing gigs almost every night for months on end! lol :)
HRHFISH/ SATRIELLA/ 962 - sorry to miss out on meeting you... another time...
SMITHY- Yep that did suck yesterday about the no-photo rule... still the show was so amazing that it didn't ruin it at all:) You drove a long way for the show!

That show at HAmmersmith last night Joe ...was simply amazing....Joe was rocking all over the place, and it was sooooooo good to get up and rock with you Joe.
The 'new' sound of Cool#9 was absolutely fantastic...Summer Song, Super Colossal, Redshift Riders.
It was such a shame the stewards were so hot on anyone taking photos, the female steward totally ruined the end of Always, screaming at someone 2 rows in front of us to leave the building. I had my nice new shiny digital, and could not take any of Joe, I did NOT want to be kicked out...no way.
Just as well she didn't kick out Jeff for taking pics of Jonny A during his set ;-)

Hey Joe! I finally got to see you play after 16 years of listening to your music... I made the 'Apollo' London last night, truly an inspirational experience! I been playin' for over 30 years... I too was inspired by Jimi (in fact he was pronounced DOA at Mary Abbotts Kensington, where I was born).
I love what you do and how you do it. There will always be those 'bright young things' that can do technically amazing stuff on the guitar... and many who say that they are better. But to my mind, it's the notes that you don't play that are as equally important... as the ones that you do.
And when your notes also come from the soul (as opposed to just straight off the fretboard like a machine)... then you are truly a great musician. You only get that with age and experience... Satch boogies! Come back soon, to the UK? <-

anibur- yep it rocked:) So happy I went and experienced it all:) The day at work today was even great, even though I was knackered...
What a fantastic night though... one to remember for sure! I talked to Joe about guitars I owned (I had given him a CD of me singing/playing,) he asked me about the ones in the photo on my cover (Joe asking ME about my CD cover...lol that was too surreal!) And then I asked him about the JS2000 guitar and whether he used it / what he thought about it. Joe rocks!

Florida restaurant sells $100 hamburger
BOCA RATON, Fla. - A hundred bucks might buy you more than six dozen burgers from McDonald's, but the swanky Old Homestead Steakhouse will sell you one brawny beef sandwich for the same price.
Boca Raton Mayor Steven Abrams could barely speak between bites as he devoured the 20-ounce, $100 hamburger billed as the "beluga caviar of sandwiches."
"Heaven on a bun," restaurant owner Marc Sherry said.
The burger debuted Tuesday at the restaurant in the Boca Raton Resort and Club, where a membership costs $40,000 and an additional $3,600 a year.
"We've never had a hamburger on our menu here so we really wanted to go to the extreme," Sherry said, calling it "the most decadent burger in the world."
At about 5 1/2 inches across and 2 1/2 inches thick, the mound of meat is comprised of beef from three continents — American prime beef, Japanese Kobe and Argentine cattle.
The bill for one burger, with garnishing that includes organic greens, exotic mushrooms and tomatoes, comes out to $124.50 with tax and an 18 percent tip included. The restaurant will donate $10 from each sale to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Hey Suzo,
Pretty cool huh! I don't play at all, you are a clever girl, that is interesting for Joe too, not just a question about him. My camera has a voice recorder on it...that would have been even better..........
Just think right at this moment Joe is warming his hands!
God it was sooo exciting last night!..........phew!

I've known about Joe since 1992 and recently came across most of his material after losing touch with it for a while. I can hardly believe how good the Joe Satriani album is!
The one thing I like most about Joe is his deep appreciation of Hendrix.
