To the kind souls who have asked

Patrick, my brother in law is looking better than expected today. His son tells us if he maintains progress he will be out of High Depedency tomorrow.

Without wishing to preach, I believe that certain aromatic smokes are twice as carcinogenic as regular smokes. I bet a certain someone recently operated on wishes he had never bothered with them!

Keep rocking all

Steve.

Cuth - CDbaby is cheaper from non-direct sites. I can send you one for a measly $10 if you'd like - but I am off to Scotland tonight for a couple of weeks so it would have to wait until i return.

email me with address etc if you want me to send it when i return, otherwise CDBaby is cheapest. Both G9 and CDB charge me $4 a sale so it doesnt really matter which site.

Ronnie

Roy - Sorry to hear about your dad. Glad he is recovering.

This is a true story......

Subject: Names >> >> This good looking man walks into an agent's office in Hollywood and says:

"I want to be a movie star." Tall, handsome and with experience on Broadway,he had the right credentials. The agent asked, "What's your name?"

>> The guy said, "My name is Penis van Lesbian."

>> The agent said, "Sir, I hate to tell you, but in order to get into Hollywood, you are gonna have to change your name."

>> "I will NOT change my name! The van Lesbian name is Dutch and centuries old, I will not disrespect my grandfather by changing my name... Not ever."

>> The agent said, "Sir, I have worked in Hollywood for years... you will NEVER go far in Hollywood with a name like Penis van Lesbian! I'm telling you, you will HAVE TO change your name or I will not be able to represent you."

>> "So be it! I guess we will not do business together," the guy said and he left the agent's office.

>> FIVE YEARS LATER.....

>> The agent opens an envelope sent to his office. Inside the envelope is a letter and a check for $50,000. The agent is awestruck . who would possibly send him $50,000?

>> He reads the letter enclosed ...

>> "Dear Sir,

>> Five years ago, I went to your office wanting to become an actor in Hollywood, and you told me needed to change my name. Determined to make it with my God-given birth name, I refused. You told me I would never make it in Hollywood with a name like Penis van Lesbian. After I left your office, I thought about what you said. I decided you were right. I had to change my name. I had too much pride to return to your office, so I signed with another agent.

>> I would never have made it without changing my name, so the enclosed check is a token of my appreciation.

>> Thank you for your advice.

>> Sincerely,

>> Dick van Dyke

OK so its not true... it is still funny.....

Ovation: Holy shit!! I just checked out your Paul Gilbert link..... that dude is just sic!! I thought he was awesome at the Amazing Journey show (Who Tribute) but I watched "Scarified" a song that Guitarmiester is learing to play and I KNOW WHO JOe has to HAVE for the Next G3....... Paul aka Pablo Gilbert!! Or Andy Timmons or CLARKY!!! Those have to be JOe's only choices, I'd give him the 3 and let him choose.

JOe Satriani: Hmmmmm.... very difficult choice indeed! GILBERT, TIMMONS and CLARKY for G-3!!! HOw about a G-5?!!!!

The Amazing Journey show was "AMAZING"!! It was like seeing The Who. No other words can compare....Does Paul have a British accent? He didn't sound like it in the vids but since he was Pete Townsend that night I guess he played the part.....Mike Portnoy played a Keith Moon Kit. I heard he did a Beatles Tribute 2 years back and played a Ringo Starr Kit.......that was AMAZING as well. I gues Portnoy is the driving force?! I'm new to all of this..... They played for an Hour plus then took a 20 min break and came back to annileate the rest of the evening. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to snag a tix for that sold out show. It was so worth a trip into the city to get my ticket. Paul sang a few songs and " Keith" MP did one as well "the spiders" or Uncle Ernie something lie that. At the end of the show they all crashed their Instruments like the WHO in the early dayz.... but they weren't the guitars that they'd played all night. I heard that Gary had gotten a concusion the show before from diving into the Drums so he wasn't as Komazi as the previous show.....heard that BB's almost was cancelled because of that. That's the rumor. I'm so glad I was able to get a tix to this show......It truely was an AMAZING JOURNEY!

Slansh - I just can't get on with the shorter scale necks.. yeah they feel quick... but personally I like a little resistance and tension..
if I can make it to Barca that'll be real cool...

SteveT - now I'm not a big fan of Tele's... just not my bag really... but I dropped off a Morgan Tele to a pal to try out today...
Brazilian Mahogany body
Flame Maple top
Birdseye Maple neck
Ebony fingerboard
BareKnucke pickups [single at the bridge, vintage humbucker at the neck]
Bigsby bridge

ok I'm not so keen on the bridge.. not my sort of thing...
but the tone of this thing is awesome... the sustain is spectacular.. and the neck is well quick...

very very nice..

Mari - do you know something I don't girlie??
like when the next G3 is???
