HI YOU ALL.
What a fantastic day yesterday was. Couldn't believe the response from you guys. It was such a laugh in the pub and great to meet every one at last. There were at least 20 or so through the day. Some of the crew had to leave early cos of the platinum packages. Satriella got the camera out. I'm glad I made the effort and sent the emails out to every one. As Clarky won the comp I passed him a CD to give to Joe at the meet and greet.
Clarky and I were the last to leave the Trout cos the England game started and Clarky kept saying we've go to go in five minuets. We bowled in to the Apollo and Satch was already into his set. I should have been in the rear circle but just ambled up to the front. Joe's set up sounded crystal clear and was on form. The rhythm guitarist was a bit quiet and you could just make him out in a couple of songs. Joe should have let him have a burn during the encore.
Was a bit disappointed with the other guitarist 'cos he didn't come out for the meet and greet. Joe has got some staunch fans but it's just polite to say hello. Clarky picked up two passes from winning the competition draw. I was about to leave and he gave me the other pass !!!! I just didn't expect that and have just got to say thanx from the heart of my bottom for that!!!
We got chatting to Jeff and Dave who are both cool people. Jeff was going on about the waiting at the airports and hotels. I said "yeah but what would you rather do tour round the world with Joe or work in a factory?" He actually said that wouldn't be so bad cos you get to stay at home when you work in a factory!! Yeah right I'm sure you would Jeff !!!! People who do something they love for a living are blessed.
Dave went quiet when some one mentioned Stu Hamm!! He was saying he's getting a solo spot on the next tour. We had a bit of a wait for Joe and he's a nice friendly approachable guy who's got time for everyone. Clarky was chuffed to bits when Joe said I've heard of you and said you've got more fans than I have !! I plugged Clarky and said he would be up for playing a G3 or supporting him on the next tour when he puts his album out !!!
THANX TO EVERYONE FOR A SUPER COLOSALL DAY OUT IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE :-)
THANX ESPECIALLY TO CLARKY YOU MADE AN OLD MAN VERY HAPPY
AND TO JOE WHO MADE ALL THIS POSSIBLE.
YO!!!!! JOE SATRIANI !!!!!!
HOPE YOU LIKE THE CD I GAVE YOU. THE MAHAVISHNU ALBUMS ARE WMV FILES. YOU CAN PLAY THEM ON REAL PLAYER. THE STEVE VAI FILE WAS FOR CLARKY'S BENEFIT AS HE GOT A CD ASWELL.
SATRIELLA
Don't forget to sort the photo's out.

Hi ya geez. How was he in Newcastle. Got a few posts to catch up with bud.
ONCE AGAIN CHEERS FOR THE PASS CLARKY !!!
Also some lady behind me complained about me smoking a fag. If it's any one on the forum I must appologise I didn't realise it was a no smoking venue until the after show meet and greet.

JOE, HAVE YOU EVER WANTED TO JUST GIVE UP ON GUITAR AND LIFE ITSELF CAUSE THAT I S WHAT I AM ABOUT TO DO I am doing alot of recording and dubbing like you are and i wanted to know what you thought about the digitech GNX 4 cause right now financially i have not much money and it cost only 500. My dad got laid off from the railroad and my mon doesn't have a good job and i'm trying my hardest to save money for a car to get to my school which is at ITT technical institute. I grew up with nothing and still have nothing. All i got is my cheap ltd brand guitar. I'm not complaining. It does the job for me and it makes me happy. Cause when it's all you have you learn to appreciate it more. I just wish i could get one of you signature model guitars. I played one once when i was at a guitar store in pittsburgh and i fell in love with it especially the neck. But thats just a fantasy. SOme day wheni get out of school and after i help my parents pay off there debts maybe god will give me a break and let me have one thing that i want that isn't a necessity. which would be a great guitar. But i'm alive and i am able to play guitar and i have no handicaps so i'm happy, just sometimes i need to talk to someone. thanks joe I know you probably won't read this cause you have so many letters but if you do thanks i appreciate it.
Dave

An Indian walks into a cafe with a shotgun in one hand, pulling a male buffalo with the other and says to the waiter, "Want coffee."
The waiter says, "Sure chief, coming right up." He gets the Indian a tall mug of coffee. After drinking the coffee down in one gulp, the Indian turns and blasts the buffalo with the shotgun, then just walks out.
The next morning the Indian returns. He has his shotgun in one hand pulling another male buffalo with the other. He walks up to the counter and says to the waiter, "Want coffee."
The waiter says, "Whoa, chief! We're still cleaning up your mess from yesterday. What the heck was all that about, anyway?"
The Indian smiles and proudly says, "Training for upper management position. Come in, drink coffee, shoot the bull, leave mess for others to clean up, disappear for rest of day."

Fish, sorry I didn't make it to the Trout with you guys, I kinda missed my turn on the motorway and ended up taking an extra hour getting to the gig. Thanks for the email tho, I appreciated the invite. Would've been great to meet up with a load of like-minded Satch nuts, lol. Great show tho, well worth the trip, not that there was every any doubt. Shame about the no camera crack down by the venue staff. Anyone would think we were all professional photographers with paperazzi gear instead of die hard fans with mobile phones looking for a souvenir. Anyway, great to see Joe working his musical magic again. Looking forward to next time, just hope it's a bit sooner.
Neil.

Just like to say that it should be made clear to people purchasing Platinum/Diamond tickets that you will not meet Joe until AFTER the show. Having just spent £90 on one for the Hammersmith Gig, but then not being able to meet him due to having to catch the last train home, For me it was a waste of money. I would like to try and get some of my money back, anyone Know who to contact??

Prince Fishy - I thoroughly enjoyed the show but there were a few things which took the edge off so I remain the only living person to have been at a Joe concert and didn't find it AWESOME. I posted earlier so if you get round to that and combine with this post you'll have a fair idea of my thoughts.
The 'things' which took the edge off were nothing to do with the show itself though.
The only criticism I would have of Joe was that (for me anyway) he did the single high note 'screaming' thing a bit too often. Having said that, he must have done some good stuff 'cause the two hours he was on stage passed in what seemed like no time.
Keep rocking
teve.

It would be pretty weird if we each had an
evil twin.
And while I would be disappointed
if it turned out *I* was the evil one,
it certainly would explain a lot.
