PTROCKER- Ok, the main problem we have here is that I, being English have a natural bias towards how I perceive the match went for England last Saturday, and you being Portuguese (from the response you have given) have a natural bias towards how YOU perceive the match went for Portugal.
Let me do a parallel viewpoint...
You said " So you're saying Rooney's aggression was Ronaldo's work? And Ronaldo's winking was a "thumbs-up" for a job well done?"
Well. To your first point, no, but Ronaldo had no place being involved talking to the ref, should have been sent away, and wasn't. Rooney had already been fouled previously. But you don't see that the same way, all you see was that Rooney stepped on someone's groin, then pushed Ronaldo. For me, it was not that straightforward.
As to your second point: We in England saw the wink and the "shush" as a thumbs up for a job well done, as I said he had head butted Rooney just before the game and he knows how to wind up Rooney. Rooney should not have reacted, but Ronaldo shouldn't have done it. Your viewpoint is that " Ronaldo is a very temperamental kid and Scolari was advising him to stay cool (he always gets a yellow card sooner or later). Ronaldo was resting him: "I'm cool!" (for now!) " - but Ronaldo has not said anything about this to English people? So you saw that one way, we saw it another. Rooney was his team mate (hopefully "was" is the right word...)
Your next point about the ' English can't stand losing! They prefer to think someone has pull the rug on them (even if there was no rug)
That's your opinion, think what you like if you want to generalise. Do YOU like to lose then? Who does?
Then to your point " Portuguese might have lots of flaws, but we know when to admit others were better. In football terms, we're better than the english and worse than the french.
I don't think that your team were "better" than us last week, we played with 10 men also for an hour, and there were still no goals. You only beat us in the end for one reason: that we are crap at penalties. That it was Ronaldo who took the final one summed up the game for me.
Then you said " We always beat England and the french always beat us! - well again very negative, unless you have seen into the future and know the results of each game we will ever play against you.
You also said " I think the english could learn a lot about managing defeat... - well not from your manager, he lost his lid rather a lot don't you remember after the Germany game?
And as for England "not liking to lose" as you said, what does this sound like, when you said
" after losing to a team that did nothing except managing a penalty kick that was offered and almost defended... "- to me that sounds like someone who doesn't like losing. Touche?
If you want me to " look at the real causes: lack of quality, inspiration and most of all: nerve condition! " - well then why didn't you score against us in 120 minutes then? What does that say...
A final thing that we view differently- you said " Talking about bad sportmanship, what about that guy that tried to kick the penalty in advance to pressure Ricardo? - From my point of view he was stupid to take it too early, but I don't believe it was deliberate or to pressurise Ricardo... and also from my point of view, Ronaldo stopped before he took the shot which is against the rule... but who cares? And against Holland- 7 players booked, 2 of whom were also sent off... You see the entire thing the opposite way but that's only natural.
Anyway, you are entitled to your opinion, as am I, perhaps best to leave it at that and just not speak.
