suzie2000.....well sorry if i am getting in your nerves......fact is i say what i think is right and so if yu are offended then i am extremely sorry....anyway how ios school and yes, do yu have to miss school to watch football or ....?????i have been having sleepless nights to be able to watch the games....about 3.30-4 in the morning by the time the last games finish....and yes, work too to attend the next morning.....have beeen making do with 3-3 and half hours sleep....but hey...once in 4 years and so its worth the sacrifice....

marimari....thanks for the info....and yes i am really freaking out with all the football.......it has taken centrestage of my life......i am having a whale of a time.....losing sleep and all.....sometimes i feel like i should place small twigs in between my eyes to keep me awake during office hours.... cheers and have a wonderful day...and yes.....austria are not in the world cup....i saw yu enquiring about it....

alexandre....bro,i am looking at a probable semi finals between Brazil and Semi final,,,,and that is when it is going to be very difficult for me as i support both the teams.....however Brazil is 55-45 ahead in my heart when it comes to support.....fact is i support portugal more than argentina........anyway i hope portugal can get the better of england and then we can have a dream semifinal.....

clarky.........bro,whatever the outcome of the england ecuador game i think ecuador sucked and deserved to lose.....i hate negative football but at times a team has to play according to its strength and if defense is the best offense to some team then so be it....defend and defend till yu reach a tie breaker just like Ukraine yesterday>>>>>>>>>

slanshroom.......sorry to hear about that but frankly i dont see Scotland qualifying for any major tourneys in the near future just like INDIA which really suck big time in Soccer.........i love the scottish league and do not miss the derby between Glasgow Rangers and Celtic....hope yu can cheer for scotland in the near future....HOPE!!!!!!!

ovation.....thank yu for the mails bro....yu have a few yurself....enjoy and yes...enjoy the ghana v brazil match..and spain v france too.....cheers....

lucysorets....i hope yu are getting much better by the day....take care

italy got lucky and well i think luck is part and parcel of a game,,,,,and ukraine...well they played to their strength and that was Chevkovsky.they were always playing for a TB.......he has been one of the best in Europe for the last 10 years or so since his early days at Dynamo Kiev........... frankly even though i support Ukraine and dont like Italy i dont see Ukraine going through......the cunning and shrewd italians will get the better of them tactically....and frankly though i rate Lubinovsky the Ukraine coach very highly i think Lippi will make the killer switches which will harm Ukraine.....

Watch out for Ghana as they will come out with all guns blazing...but the Brazilians are starting to gel as a unit and so perhaps today is the day when they fire from all cylinders..i have a feeling that Ghana might be at the receiving end of Brazilian ire and frustration.......and yes...hope spain can overcome france......though i feel it wont happen as spain will choke........

peace.....

marimariSRV, you're very welcome, I thought you might like the look of that book! I found it thoroughly enlightening and enjoyable, and I'm sure that anybody could get something out of it as long as they want to/are interested!

And yeah, I did have the pleasure of seeing Joe twice last week! He was fab :-D

Your concert at Huttwil, Switzerland

Hello Mr. Satriani

A working college of me is registred as "STEELFINGER" at your web site. He,his wife and a friend will be at the concert on the 9th of July 2006 in Huttwil.

Do you see any opportunity that he can visit you backstage? He is a musican and plays guitar in a Band, too.

With that you would do me and him a big favour.

For me it is not possible to see your concert, what a pitty.

I wish you and your Band a fantastic gig in Switzerland

best regards

Fredy

GROWLER Florian has really improved his game with each match he's been in. Man, what an impressive display he put on against Stout. I remember seeing one of Florian's 1st fights, he was afraid to move in for anything, he just waited to try and counter or defense the whole fight. What an improvement though. Yup, this Wednesday another Fight Night Live. I'll probably catch that movie sometime...

bahduh - Firstly i want to say that talking to people who really understand football - like you - is very enjoyable...Hasan Sas plays in galatasaray. After world cup 2002 g.saray didnt sell him to another clubs. And from 2002 to 2005 his performance was very poor. But this year he came back and showed his talents again.Gs became the champion in turkish league.Gs arent in the champions league for about 2 or 3 years so it is normal not to see him.And what about the other guys.Frankly the generation is changing.Arif retired from football so does Bülent Korkmaz.Rüstü plays in fenerbahçe,Hakan sükür plays in GS,Alpay is in Köln,Emre you know is in Newcastle United,Tugay is still at Blackburn Rovers,Okan played for Besiktas but he is out of contract now.And the last samurai Ilhan Mansiz, because of his Japanese fans he was transferred to the Japanese League but he came back ,he had some injury problems and he is out of contract now....

Scolari is winning for 11 matches in the world cups, but my money on this round at England.Beckham the spice boy+Lampard+Gerrard+Joe Cole. What a wonderful midfield. If u ask me that take Ronaldinho or Gerrard+Lampard i choose G+L.But i still cant believe why are this team playing so bad.The only dominant thing about England is that it is hard to score them ,it is hard to beat them.World class team defensing.....About France i think their biggest advantage is their biggest disadvantage. They have Vieira+Makelele the best defensive midfielders in the world. But because of them the team cant make tempo,no offensive gain from them - yeah Vieira scored against Togo but he has defensive responsibilities - and think Zidanes poor performance - we know that he is not ex-zizou anymore - the only creative player is Malouda or Ribery.Ex Celtic manager Martin Oneill said that "if wiltord is better footballer than giuly so i am a Dutch".lol.Their problem is about scoring. France played 4-5-1 against switzerland and korea - henry the only forward- and then they played 4-4-2 against togo - henry+trezeguet, ribery at the right wing, malouda at the left wing ,zizou was suspended so he didnt play - I wonder Domenechs decision about todays match formation.I care about formation. It determines the character of the playing , of the match. We already know that Spains formation will be 4-3-3. Senna-X.Alonso-Xavi the midfieldrs and L.Garcia-D.Villa-F.Torres the forwards.I hope the best team wins.

.....bro meanwhile happy 700th posts.I am sorry if i get bored u with these 4-4-2s ,3-5-2s. See u soon.

Good to hear Robin Trower is touring the States again, i am a big fan and named my daughter after him. For a guy of 61 he can still cut the mustard, a real blues rock legend, somewhat forgotten by the music press. I think the 2nd song on the set list was Hannah. Saw him at Mean Fiddler a few months back , the intensity is still there, and yeah it's a real shame bass/vocalist Jimmy Dewar is no longer with us.
