Joe Satriani's music is... .. .

magical...

it's takes me to a sandy beach, overlooking rolling waves... looking at a sunrise or sunset... a cool breeze stirs the air... I'm one with Joe's music... there's no other way to put it...

Alley says he had a great spot to see the show - in front of Joe's mic stand :) No opening act. He talked with Mick, a super nice guy, Dave LaRue, Galen, and Joe. Got a picture and a hug with Joe :) He said he didn't get to meet Jeff. The guys had a killer time, caught pics, and Al's friend Rob scored a drum stick too! He says thanks to everyone who helped, and he's SUPER happy! lol! Oh, and he loves us all. lol!

WOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

That really makes my heart happy!

And now for something completely different...

GROWLER Yea! I forgot, I was gonna ask you if you saw the Ultimate Finale. The fights were A LOT better than I expected, but the 1st fight was pretty boring. Ed vs. the Hawaiin guy, what a back and forth fight! I knew Bispeng was going to win, he was definitely the best fighter out of all 3 seasons. Did you see Matt fight Jesse at the end? I was hoping to see some of his wrestling, I guess Tito's given him enough encouragement to stand up. I WANT to see the next pay-per-view event! Shamrock vs. Ortiz for the 2nd time, I bet it's gonna be just like the last time, Ortiz totally dominating. After that fight, Shamrock's face was swelled up almost twice it's original size. Like Tito said, Shamrock missed the boat, the tide pulled him out 10 years ago... the old school guys can't keep up with the new school fighters. Proof - Hughes vs. Gracie, I bet a lot had their $ on Gracie. I'm probably going to miss this pay-per-view event! Unbelievable!

Ovation You've probably heard about Friedman's new CD that's coming out, right? I can't wait for it, he had a very impressive line-up of special guests for this new CD. Pablo also has a new CD coming out soon with his 'most terrifying playing' yet. I ordered Space Ship One DVD Friday, should be coming in today or tomorrow.

-My new sound card's arriving today... as long as I have no problems with it, should have at least one song, hopefully, done today, or at least a quick demo.

I'm thinking about getting Amplitude Live, it's only $79, it'll come in handy when I can't crank up my amp at night or feel like bringing my Korg AX3000G up from the basement.

Two questions: anyone here ever use any software like Band In a Box, where you can get all types of instruments and arrangements? I'm also thinking about getting some monitors, what's the difference between passive and active?

guitarmeister i have BIAB on my machine somewhere(!!!) but i've never tried it... i'll see if i can find where it's installed and fire it up :-) active monitors have built-in amp(s), passive ones need an amp

Glad everyone enjoyed the London show! I was gutted to miss it, but I had a great night at my borther's stag do anyay. And besides, the England game was on at the same time, so it would have been a tough decision either way... lmao

So, we're through to the quarter finals of th World Cup! Next stop Portugal. Should be a topugh game, but I rekcon we can take them. Just about (as always), anyway.

The RECOIL E.P. was handed to the President of Island records on fiday, so we're waiting to hear back from that. Fingers and toes crossed I reckon...

In other news, my girlfriend has finally started her driving lessons, so stay off the roads in South East England for a good few months...

Zen - it was great to talk to you the other day....
very cool bro...
Mikey - well there's nothing definite about Japan... right now it's a "possibility".. but that's better than nothing right.. lmao...
fingers and toes crossed..
bahduh - you could also argue that Ecuador played like Trinidad... a team that didn't believe they could win via attacking football.. so thay threw everyone back in defense and hoped for a break... and yes it almost paid off too... yeah England didn't look great.. but then even the best teams look bad against teams that play "to not lose"... to me.. England were ok.. and Ecuador were negative... unlike Argentina v Mexico which was open and attacking from both sides... and therefore more entertaining...
I'd not like to predict the England v Portugal game.. botrh sides can beat each other... I guess it all depends upon how they are on the day..
Yoda - that's seriously cool news...

best o luck to ya bro.....

JoeSatrini- Lol my garden is so teeny that it would sure be a small gig! But it would be very cool...lol

Alexandre- Congats on reaching the quarters... you now have to face an *ahem* formidable opponent... :)

Mari- Thanks for the e-mail... now that would be very cool if you come over again when it's G3 time!! Thanks for that little quote btw, very wise words.

Bahduh, okay England may not get too much further, but please stop slating them all the time, at least they are still there! We all know they are unlikely to progress too much further :(

WaterproofSoap- You're welcome! See you in the chat again sometime:)

Timothy- sorry for you about the football :(

Delfino- So glad you managed to say it! All the best:)

Michelle- thanks for the updates on Al's escapades... lol

Al- great news :)

MasterYoda- your girlfriend has started driving lessons, well 13 years after passing my test, I have finally realised the day has come that I will have to get a car... so in September the roads in the SE will DEFINITELY need to be avoided at all costs! lol ... Good news about the EP, fingers crossed for you! :)

Malc- enjoy the evening! Sounds like a good plan for sure:)
