....Damn, lost my 3,000 character post!....

I'll make it quick....

OCPS470: lol bro, Pablo is one kuul cat that doesnt take life too seriously, lol....

slanshroom: I think this will all blow over soon, it has to before it escalates beyond control, but you have to put bullies in their place as you know.... And as you know, all the North people need is Western business intervention to fix their problem....

Zenman: I know we can not erase the mistakes of the past, but some Presidents have tried to make it better.... I definately do not agree with the way they were screwed over by the white man, but all we can do is learn from the past and strive to be better people....

Ibanezplyr: Great news on your setup bro, portable is the way to go, and dont worry about the music, I will check it out on cdbaby.... Thanks for sending me your music, and you guys keep rocking!! :-)

Sorry to see the Portugal loss, but they are 4th best in the World, congrats!! :-)

Stevee T.... ;) my eyeballs were already there, LOL...but thanks fer lookin out fer me!! :)

We just had a grrrrreat time at a friend's annual 4th of July (always done on the Saturday following) potluck and fireworks extravaganza out in the country....old fashioned pick-a-nick type games like 3-legged races, pass the orange under yer chins, tug-o-war.....great food, KICK ASS fireworks ( he gets a permit from the Fire Marshall and a background check from Homeland Security so he can shoot off the REHEEEALLY big ones, LOL)....the theme was Mardi Gras, so we all got beads...glow sticks to make necklaces and bracelets, masks, funny hats.....in fact, I'm sitting here in the dark at my puter, but I'm glowing all over, LOL.....

My son Chris played his first real live gig...solo...for the event. We kicked everything off with the Star Spangled Banner which he played beautifully.....a prayer, and good food.....after the eats and before the games, he played...he used backing tracks and did a really great job. Played Sleepwalk, All Alone, Rain by Vinnie Moore, and Psycho Monkey...and when he was all done, people were asking him to play MORE, LOL.....I tole him to always leave them wanting more :D

So thank gawd fer that, he did great and now it's OVER....

And before the fireworks...the hosts of the party gave a talk, as they do every year, of what being free in America means to them....we had the colors presented...and the song "I'm Proud to Be An American" was played and sung...it was extremely moving. We honored all the veterans there and those that we held in our hearts.

Makes for a tearful, yet joyful celebration. We all felt very lucky to be here.

:)

Satriella: don't give up!;) Reagrdless of who is insulting who, there are people here (gladly the majority) that doesn't deserve to be included in that basket...

And if you leave, there'll be one less of those...

I believe you can teach the others with your example... The worse it can happen is the others not to learn, but at least you tried. C'mon, there several of us that appreciate your presence! @];-

As for the drwaing, you will explain in a email how much I don't like to see my face in pictures, but I'll try to send a good one to you! I'm trying to decide which one. All my favourites have my face as a blur, as I prefer to see the guitar! :)))

JOE OR WEBMASTER: I got a Spanish magazine in Spain last week and the advertising about Joe`s concert had as first act: ADRIAN LEGG, that is truth?!?!? Thanks in advance :-) !!

É a tua primeira vez? A.C.

GOOD NEWS: SCOTT HENDERSON IN PORTUGAL :-)) !! JULY 29 th in MAFRA !!!!

hey joe, been listening to your music for a few years now. I enjoy it a lot, u've got that certain something that i was looking for. Just as a suggestion, it would be good if u could make more songs like oriental melody, power cosmic 2000 etc...play around with the lydian...kind of indian carnatic fusion. I've been playing for just 2-3 yrs or so but i find indian carantic very powerful. U got me hooked onto mixolyd..raspberry jam delta-v and endings of some of the heavy songs, have a great feel. Basically i find it awesome to explore the modes and im developing a great liking for playing all of them everytime i pick up the guitar, or better still trying to make a sitar out it too...try to listen to "Vande Mataram" (original version), its a great one and sounds really good on the electric guitar to me.

PTROCKER- Thanks, definitely agreeing to disagreee is the way forward.:)

SATRIELLA- Surely people are allowed to have different opinions on here about a variety of things? Whether that has something to do with guitar issues, sport or history... Just skim the posts that don't interest you...

ALEXANDRE- I don't believe everything I read in the papers here, I make my own mind up. That's a bit patronising of you to suggest that everybody here is that thick. Anyway, if you read my post (to PtRocker) I was just answering his points, and am quite chilled out already, but thank you for asking...

MARI- How are you doing? Haven't seen you on here in a little while, will e-mail soon :)

Bruce Lee's favourite motivational poem:

by Harry and Joan Meier entitled, "It's all in the state of mind."

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don't.
If you like to win, but you think you can't,
It is almost certain you won't.

If you think you will lose, you are lost.
For out of this world we find,
Success begins with a fellow's will,
It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are.
You've got to think high, to rise.
You've got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.

Life's battles don't always go to
The stronger or faster man,
But sooner or later the man
Who wins is the man
WHO THINKS HE CAN...

Bruce Lee had this framed in his office at Golden Harvest Studios.

Good luck to France and Italy today :)

Zenman: I know how you feel, and the honest truth is that both the Republicans (which Bush gives a bad name IMO, lol) and the Democrats all have the same thing in mind.... They just go about it in different ways, although I really believe that the Democrats understand human emotion and care about us more.... I'm going off course here (about the Indian), but I hear ya on the South despising the way the America's try to rule the world with it's power and do what I say attitude.... Such are the rewards for a superpower, and depending on the psychi of the person in power, all hell can or cannot break loose at the push of a button.... Between you and me (and the rest of StachLand, lol), I knew this was going to happen if GW was elected, and not to say that 9-11 etc. would not have happened, but because of his arrogance and attitude, it makes sense to me why countries would go out of their way to show their dislike for American society.... We have no control over that, but like you said.... Music is the best cause for peace.... It is the only way to bridge the gap between cultures and society, it speaks all languages; and used in the right context, creates world peace.... Right on bro, and I am singing a pow-wow for the Indian as they are my ancestors....

slanshroom: The thing I feared about GW from the start is what you just posted.... He was in the right place at the wrong time to get elected, and I knew we were going to have an interesting future because of him, lol, God forbid!....

alexandrecaetano: Great to chat with you my friend also!! :-) Just at the right time to, cause I was all rested and ready for the next match, lol! ;-) Werd to Portugal brotha for their 4th place finish, that is no small accomplishment, and the team has come a long way!!.... I'm sure they will do better in Africa! :-) Btw bro, very kuul pics of the jam session, you look very kuul, and hey.... Is that Mr. Goncalo's PRS you are playing there?!?! ;-) Have a great week Alex, thanks for the Henderson clip (he's one of my faves!) and have a blast in Madrid!!!! :-)
