Zenfish,

I've always seen Vai as a very arrogant guitar player, but that all chaged after I saw him live. He didn't seem arrogant to me, just a very talented man who loves to play guitar and entertain...

First of all I like to thank u for the wonderful expierence you made me live last Saturday15/07 in Rome and I hope you had a Wonderful Birthday. The show was absolutley fantastic... you made my dream come true. I came all the way from Malta to be part of the show and encoutered many problems along the way... but was it worth it? Of course it was I would do the same trip even with one leg! Best of the best of the show were Always With Me, Always With You; Just like Lightnin' and Crowd Chant (even though I don't support Italy as a soccer team... you broke my heart seeing you in their colours!! BUT THANKS ANYWAY) YOU WERE AWESOME My only low point was not seeing you play FRIENDS live my favorite track! Thanks Anyhow One of your fans Adrian

Alexandre,

vou chegar a Madrid no próprio dia, umas horas antes do concerto. Era curtido encontarmo-nos antes do concerto, não? O meu telele é 96 639 0123, se quiseres, sempre podíamos beber um copito e discutir qual o disco preferido, etc, etc...

DOTHESTU- Yep it's definitely addictive posting on here! Did you get to see Joe play this year at all?

MASTERYODA- I love the way you have "Neil Morgan BA" under your MasterYoda name... lol... a friend of mine, when she qualified as a dentist, for ages she just had to pay on her card for everything for a while, because it said "Dr." on her bank card. She loved it! :) P.S. lol at the Zidane game...

CRONUMBER9- Thanks once again:) And thanks for trying that link out as well :)

962- Well I suppose being busy isn't always a bad thing... I hate this time of year, right at the end of the school term, everything is so hectic, you can never finish anything... And I have 6 years worth of stuff to box up and move to my new school in 4 days. I think I am 100% ready for my summer holiday! Still, not long left in this current job. :D

BEATRIX KIDDO- Hope you're well :)

ZEN- Well if the raven is crazy himself there's NO hope:)

Has anyone here seen this video? I came across it a few weeks ago but figured I'd post it now since some of you are talking about EVH. This is from a concert in Carson just last month, but looking at how Eddie is running all over the stage you'd think it's from 1981 or so. Pretty cool...

paiize - Amazon should have Joe's guitar books.

Suzie2000 - Yeah, I saw the EJ/Satch gig at the Wiltern on May 6. Some guy named Steve Vai (hehe) came out to jam during the encore...it was so cool to see the original G3 lineup, as that live album is what made me a Satch fan.

Also, I loved it when Joe threw a bit of The Enigmatic into one of the jams toward the end of his set. I wish he'd play more of the songs from that album...The Enigmatic, Driving At Night, or New Day could fit nicely in his set today.

...Austin...

962:NP bro

Zen:Ycan play frisbie with it bro,lol its all changed.Good its end of year now for the sinf, gives me more time t put the bucks in the bank, buy decent pro gear & figure out how t get the best out of it.I,ve been caught up in one thing or another this year, change of boss/job, time off from the bust hand, now i have t catch up with bills & save for visiting Andalucia in August.Good news is in September i change to a good company with a great contract & hours.Back end of Aug, i,ll mail y then

Suzie 2000:If Ibanez took a piece of root of any tree dressed it up, stuck a joe pickup on it & attached say the first half of the neck with the pointy headstock to it & called it the JSstump, i wonder how many would buy it lol, its sad t say....but i would just for the laugh.I can imagine the convo, i,ve got the Chromeboy wow, i,ve just bought the JS 1200 cool wow d y like it...Well i just bought THIS,it kicks stump, lol

it does suck when y cant sit in on jazz n blues sessions Suzo because yer holding a strange superstrat lookin guitar.I used t love playin it at some folk gigs, the frowns from the arran sweater first few rows were downright scary, sometimes y just want a backline of 12 4 by 12s & 24 Marshall heads, lol

GROWLER:I miss my Nunchac,s bud, i dont miss the crack on the inside elbows when y get it wrong in practice though, lol i lost count how many times i,ve come out black n blue under the arm from catchin it & it kicks the crap out yer shoulders, but sure feels good when the muscle functions as it should i must admit.Y know Zappa said music is best... most musicians that have played long enough knew that b4 they saw that published, some others like me back then were still in question, is it, if so what is it? I,ve watched many a brickhouse of a man crumble t happy tears when listening to the worst version of a song & many a fight end because of it, when i hold & play guitar i walk away with ease, i see others change b4 my eyes, a light enters for eg a student that just understood the basics of improv, taking a 5 year old kid wearing a Nervana T-shirt with a mother hell bent he is goin t learn Classical n Jazz, takin his classical guitar from him putting an electric round his neck, showing him a bar chord an have him stompin on a distortion pedal....the smile tells all, he comes back in secret from mother to his class happy. His mother knows nothing nor cares 2 but he gets music! I never cared t evolve enough in Martial art to achieve that moment, but i have so much respect for those that do & you know that bud!

Cuth:Amoungst other things yes, poverty for 1,well y know bro, I,m still waitin for the lotto, lol

Joe:21st Barcelona, lookin forward t it bud.Hope y get over Deli Belly water joy i think y may have had?

sorry for the long post

Ovation,Cube, waterproof soap, Satriella, Kenico, Clarky,Michelle, Big Gay havin fun with 4, VRFrocker, marimari, alexandrecatano & all i missed

see yis end of August, work mode on!

Peace out, love n good stuff t yis

Hi Joe, hi all,

I´m going to see Joe in Concert tomorrow July 18th in Almeria...I´ve been waiting for months, and tomorrow is the day!

I was lucky enough to win an aftershow backstage pass, so I am so happy and amazed that I think I will can not sleep tonight.

I talked with Galen Henson (suck a kind guy! thanks Galen for the emails!) and said that there´s no problem bringin my Ibanez Js10th Chromeboy with me to the venue, to have it signed by Joe....meet the man, my dream come true.Hope we can hang around a little with joe at the bar in the venue, will be a great place to meet Joe after the show.

I will take a couple of old vinyls with me too, and of course, my camera, but, just seeing Joe playin´ live just a few meters from me is, as I said, a dream come true.

I´m going to give Joe a gift also, for his last 50th birthday...just hope you live at least 50 more, Joe.

Thanks for coming to Almeria, and hope to see you tomorrow.

Peace,

Ricky
