JS JS - Hi...where are you working for the summer?
Satriella - I watched the Stairway To Heaven link that you posted...I just didn't say anything about it at the time. ;-) It's a good video though, thanks for sharing it.
"Why do they release albums at different times in different countries.....why not do it all at the same time?"
Sometimes it involves touring schedules, and how they tie into album promotion by the record company. And release dates for similar artists wtihin the same genre play a bit of a role too.
Say you're going to tour the U.S. in April and May, Asia in June, and Europe in July. You'd probably want to release the CD in the U.S. in January or February, right around the time tickets go on sale.
If the CD would be released on the same day in Europe, when tickets go on sale in May and the tour comes through in July, it's more difficult to advertise. "Go see Joe Satriani live, playing songs from the album he released 6 months ago!!!" The buzz just isn't there anymore, and whatever single would have been on the radio at the time of release will be old (Joe doesn't really get radio play, but this is true for bands that do.)...
...Austin...

Hi Satchland...
michelle, about the Meet & Greet, yeah...it was a shame :(
The promoter said to us that Joe had to leave quickly due to personal problems...so he couldn't spend time with us. Hmmm that made me come back to reality thinking that after all Joe is human...Anyway the show was so so fantastic, we had a super time! :-)
Satriella, hehe you noticed it...cool :-)
Alexandre, it's been my pleasure :) sorry to hear about your CD, how would it happen? Enjoy the waves and stay fresh :-) Greetings from Madrid ;-)
bahduh, you have mail :-)
marimariSRV, you have mail :-)

Key changes definitely...sometimes I take the time to work em out...sometimes just chill on a comp...seeing as though I play and record everything...it takes a lot a time to get it all just right...the more complicated it gets.....soooo....
Thanks for the positive feedback....can't wait to hear your new tracks...
Take care yerself...Captn'

Welcome home Joe.....hope you're all back safe and sound...I'm sure it's fantastic to get to see the world as you do, but I bet there's nothing quite like home...and congratulations on a wonderful tour where old and new fans fell in love with you and your music for the first time, or all over again....
A question to the cosmos....
why is it that only time heals your heart when it's broken in millions of pieces...there should be another cure. :(

HI EVERYBODY!! Hope you all had a GREAT weekend!
SATRIELLA Hey wonderful lady. I b one ugly dude Sandy. No, seriously. I'm pretty busted up. Growler is a kind nick name to describe my looks. My wife will only sit and talk with me if its pitch black in the room. In my youth I looked like a typical "surfer dude." I was blonde with blue eyes and about six feet tall and 190 lbs. Now, its like "what happened!" Its best you not see me, I'm hiddeous. Loved Stairway to Heaven!
SUZIE Your married? Is there any way you can sneak away to Hawaii for awhile to watch Bruce Lee movies and Tarantino flicks? I'm married as well, hiddeous looking, but good company at the movies. Like Tarantino as well. In fact, just played some cuts off the Desperado and From Dusk Til Dawn soundtracks. Did you see Jackie Brown? What did you think? Tarantino really likes Pam Grier. When I lived on the mainland I hung out with her brother Rod, this is how I know this. But, who cares! Trivia. Be coool girl.
KAYLA Get that pinky fixed, its still growing!
DO THE STU Austin, thanks for the heads up on U2 as I havent seen them . Will really try hard to get there. Sorry, I didnt know that you had been posting on the site so long. Welcome back then! You staying cool over there? Last time I was in Long Beach was 00 or 01 for the Fender Blues on Catalina Island. Took the ferry over. It was great!
SLANSH Excellent links as always bro. How difficult is that to do? That guy compound fractured both the tibia and the fibula at the same time! It was hard to tell just how he threw that kick, but from the looks of it he tried to sweep him instead of kick, with his toes facing upward. Dude, I couldnt help but show that to my wife and she about threw up on me! Love it! You know what I like. We seem to function on the same wavelength.
Sounds like you had a great time at the concert. Sorry you didnt get to see the boyz afterward. Its difficult to figure out the right exit. I guess its luck of the draw. Whatever that means. Well, good to hear from you bro. Peace and Joy to you and your family.
WATERPROOF SOAP Hey, back in the groove again. The aminos worked! Thanks for your support my friend. Keep rippin that bass! G...

GROWLER
Glad to hear the sun is shinin' on you now.......its always great and uplifting to recieve good news......I just checked out a band (name to remain anonymous at this time) that has connections and invited me to audition as Lead Vocalist.....
It went well and I'm goin' back this Wed. to meet with them again.......they're also interested in my versatility on guitar, bass, mandolin etc.........I do a fair rendition of James Hetfield .....a better rendition of Sully.....and a very convincing David Gilmore.......
These guys are really open minded to doing what makes the band sound the best.....no egos to bruise.....i'm stunned....
Its like you said my friend......Ordeals lead to new Deals........
so much for the conflict with my pushy lead singer.....the new group fired their vocalist for the SAME thing.....talk about providence............
Once again.....glad you're feelin the "oats" again.....shaka brah!!!
Peace....................................................John

GottahaveJoe:WHAT?????!!! You broke your pinky finger on your left hand!!!!!! Give that one some time before you start doing stretches girl!! Bahduh: Steven is having tough time with his house mate-former- and will find a way outa his depression some how. He's a survivor, it just takes him alittle longer to work it out that the rest of us. help is on the way, your prayers, mine, others are out there for him. Just be prepaired for Steven to wallow in this for a while till his old pal lays off him, or he figures out he's being played emotionally. I've told him that, but Steven takes things to heart. Ovation 1: Right on Bro! I know you will have great fun with "Passions of Paradice." It was our first offer for t2j2. You might even like "So'os you know." It's the one where I thought I was sounding too much like Joe! At least for me. LOL "Downtown Blues" is just like a Blondie song.
