Sorry couldn't resist. I'm just THE Ugly American when it comes to soccer. Couple that with being more of a player than a watcher and you have a very bad fan. Enjoy the game!!

Zenfish...I find your last post very insulting.
GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ALL WHO LIVE HERE
That includes EVERYONE, be they any race, any nationality, any color, any religion or lack of one....ANYONE who lives here. It is the anniversary of the birth of OUR NATION however it came about...and I'm proud to be an American, just like anyone else might be proud to be Canadian, French, Australian, Chinese, ANYTHING. I wasn't there at the beginning of our nation, but I'm here now and I'm DAMN proud to be.
And America even welcomes assholes to live here.....

Hi Joe and everyone, this is my first post.
Just looking for a little advice on writing chord progressions.
I am currently writing an album and have a few good songs on it and they all have simple major minor chords in them but they work and sound good.
However I am wanting to try and make some of the other songs more interesting and allow the listener to feel more for the song.
For instance I have a song called Friends with the lyrics written but can't find a way to write the feel good chords that should go with it, take your song with the same title as an example, that makes you feel great.
Or say for example your song I wish I could fly ahs amazing feel good chords and they are strange and more out the box than what i've been doing.
A lot of the time I find myself just copying other peoples chords, like yours but I hate doing that, it doesn't seem original.
Have you ever copied the chords from your favorite artists/
any advice from everyone would be helpful and thoughts on taking progressions from other songs, good or bad.
thanks

Chee and Zen - I feel very strongly in the fact that we do not have the right NOT to be offended. That is the start of all the PC crap we have to deal with. However, one fact that Zen might have overlooked in his comment is that without the help of a certain group of people from Gaul, we would have never become a nation of our own.

i don't mean to add fuel to any fires..........
everyone has an entitlement to a way of thinking , philosophy, religion or belief...............
WE have had many moments of fine thoughts and exchanges of different perspectives
I'm just glad to have the friendship and communication of others in this SPACE
It grieves me to see differences become divisions......
alas......its an inevitability..........not a pleasant one at times...
Its been said that discretion is the better part of valor.....
On many occassions I have come up lacking in this characteristic.............................
I'm proud to be a DAD..........
I'm proud to be a husband.................
I'm proud to know such a diverse group of people.....
I'm glad to be alive
Peace to all..............................................John

little....lol.....
Happy Birthday America...I hold you dear, those that have fought for the freedoms we enjoy today...I hope we're all worthy of your sacrifices...be they big or small....
Sure we can look back and hopefully learn...but we can't change what WAS...that's why they call it history....what we can change, is what IS...the present, in each of our own little corner's of the world...what good does repenting the actions of others do for us? Better to study and learn and not repeat the same mistakes....guaranteed we'll make new ones....
But why carry around on our own shoulders those things our distant ancestors did? Let's be grown ups and take responsibility for ourselves and our own lives....THAT is honoring what IS.
Oh, and a person's relationship with God is private and is whatever they want to make of it...I'm thinking God wants us to repent the things WE'VE done ourselves and try to do better...not something someone did over 200 years ago.
Insulting, Zen? Hell yeah. But hey....yer entitled to yer own opinion. Toodles!

Michelle......you've got mail.....could ya forward it to T??
Happy Berfdee America......I'm proud to be here....proud that I served......and as for a relationship with God.....
"We should not be praying that God is on our side, rather, we should be praying that we are on His side"-- Abraham Lincoln
"No one can make you feel worthless without your permission"-- Eleanor Roosevelt
Zen.....it is a time of reflection for those of us who live here
A little sensitivity to that would demonstrate the character of Christ!
I Guess I lied.....I thought I was finished....obviously not.
