Has anyone here seen this video? I came across it a few weeks ago but figured I'd post it now since some of you are talking about EVH. This is from a concert in Carson just last month, but looking at how Eddie is running all over the stage you'd think it's from 1981 or so. Pretty cool...

paiize - Amazon should have Joe's guitar books.

Suzie2000 - Yeah, I saw the EJ/Satch gig at the Wiltern on May 6. Some guy named Steve Vai (hehe) came out to jam during the encore...it was so cool to see the original G3 lineup, as that live album is what made me a Satch fan.

Also, I loved it when Joe threw a bit of The Enigmatic into one of the jams toward the end of his set. I wish he'd play more of the songs from that album...The Enigmatic, Driving At Night, or New Day could fit nicely in his set today.

...Austin...

962:NP bro

Zen:Ycan play frisbie with it bro,lol its all changed.Good its end of year now for the sinf, gives me more time t put the bucks in the bank, buy decent pro gear & figure out how t get the best out of it.I,ve been caught up in one thing or another this year, change of boss/job, time off from the bust hand, now i have t catch up with bills & save for visiting Andalucia in August.Good news is in September i change to a good company with a great contract & hours.Back end of Aug, i,ll mail y then

Suzie 2000:If Ibanez took a piece of root of any tree dressed it up, stuck a joe pickup on it & attached say the first half of the neck with the pointy headstock to it & called it the JSstump, i wonder how many would buy it lol, its sad t say....but i would just for the laugh.I can imagine the convo, i,ve got the Chromeboy wow, i,ve just bought the JS 1200 cool wow d y like it...Well i just bought THIS,it kicks stump, lol

it does suck when y cant sit in on jazz n blues sessions Suzo because yer holding a strange superstrat lookin guitar.I used t love playin it at some folk gigs, the frowns from the arran sweater first few rows were downright scary, sometimes y just want a backline of 12 4 by 12s & 24 Marshall heads, lol

GROWLER:I miss my Nunchac,s bud, i dont miss the crack on the inside elbows when y get it wrong in practice though, lol i lost count how many times i,ve come out black n blue under the arm from catchin it & it kicks the crap out yer shoulders, but sure feels good when the muscle functions as it should i must admit.Y know Zappa said music is best... most musicians that have played long enough knew that b4 they saw that published, some others like me back then were still in question, is it, if so what is it? I,ve watched many a brickhouse of a man crumble t happy tears when listening to the worst version of a song & many a fight end because of it, when i hold & play guitar i walk away with ease, i see others change b4 my eyes, a light enters for eg a student that just understood the basics of improv, taking a 5 year old kid wearing a Nervana T-shirt with a mother hell bent he is goin t learn Classical n Jazz, takin his classical guitar from him putting an electric round his neck, showing him a bar chord an have him stompin on a distortion pedal....the smile tells all, he comes back in secret from mother to his class happy. His mother knows nothing nor cares 2 but he gets music! I never cared t evolve enough in Martial art to achieve that moment, but i have so much respect for those that do & you know that bud!

Cuth:Amoungst other things yes, poverty for 1,well y know bro, I,m still waitin for the lotto, lol

Joe:21st Barcelona, lookin forward t it bud.Hope y get over Deli Belly water joy i think y may have had?

sorry for the long post

Ovation,Cube, waterproof soap, Satriella, Kenico, Clarky,Michelle, Big Gay havin fun with 4, VRFrocker, marimari, alexandrecatano & all i missed

see yis end of August, work mode on!

Peace out, love n good stuff t yis

Hi Joe, hi all,

I´m going to see Joe in Concert tomorrow July 18th in Almeria...I´ve been waiting for months, and tomorrow is the day!

I was lucky enough to win an aftershow backstage pass, so I am so happy and amazed that I think I will can not sleep tonight.

I talked with Galen Henson (suck a kind guy! thanks Galen for the emails!) and said that there´s no problem bringin my Ibanez Js10th Chromeboy with me to the venue, to have it signed by Joe....meet the man, my dream come true.Hope we can hang around a little with joe at the bar in the venue, will be a great place to meet Joe after the show.

I will take a couple of old vinyls with me too, and of course, my camera, but, just seeing Joe playin´ live just a few meters from me is, as I said, a dream come true.

I´m going to give Joe a gift also, for his last 50th birthday...just hope you live at least 50 more, Joe.

Thanks for coming to Almeria, and hope to see you tomorrow.

Peace,

Ricky

Suzie: It worked for me. Tell Matt it sounds beautiful.......I'll be getting those photos to you again in little bits instead of 1 big bite. Beautiful new guitars, wonderful additions to the family. I'd still like to hear more of Matt's Bluesy stuff. He mentioned about sending me a CD. Sorry but I've been really busy.......Hugs!

Zenfish: Awesome Uber-hard Swinghard!! Love that EVH! Poor Waldo.....lol. Did I send you that pic of EVH from a friends friend's wedding?

Ovation: I may have missed your reply but I sent you Paul Gilbert photos again..........last week I think. I miss spelled an "o" instead of an "a" in an email. I hope to see a few Jeff Beck shows in September. One confirmed Sept 11th in NJ.......I'm bypassing the WHO this tour, it's the SAME week!! I'm hoping to see 3 JB shows for the price of 1 WHO show...$225 Ouch!

Do The Stu: Hey Austin!! Nice to see you..... don't be a stranger! I'll be going to NAMM in January 2007 already have the time off and a pass to get in. I hope to meet up with you again, that would be uber-cool!

MariaNoelle: Hi sweetie! I hope you and the family are doing well. How's theStudio coming along, all done?I have good news...I'll be writing in the next few days! Wish I could send the "secret weapon" to a few people here.....lol

For those in Latin America & Mexico you may be interested......

The G3 will be coming your way! I'm not going to spill the beans but SV is not one of the G3. Webmaster Jon will give you the details soon enough........... Dates are still being confirmed. I'd love to go to S.A. again, Costo Rica was very beautiful as was Panama. I got some incredible images when I was on St. Andres Island Colombia. Maybe i'll get there again.....

Peace.

I'll be checkin out Dagra man.....not that I'd need a special reason to return to the Aloha state........if I mentioned it before, I apologize for the redundancy.....I spent five fantastic years stationed at Pearl Harbor.......The yearn to return never goes away!!

I hope you're feelin' well ( and rested too)...

I've been doin great........a little tension in my band...focused around the singer.....so far he's told every member how to play, what gear they should be using, what type of strings to use........I finally shut him down by telling him I've been playing the bass longer than he's been alive

We may have to shellac him and put him on the tree this christmas......then again....I kinda like trees.....nix that......

btw.....is "Bully Hayes" still open in Pearl City???

Peace............................................John

SO gang!!! anything new and exciting happening in SATCH BOOGIELAND?

Hey Joe?

hows that european tour treating you?

I can't wait for a new DVD to be perfectly honest... another stand alone show, showcasing your songs, and your songs only would be a total mind scrambler... almost as much as it was meating you this year... That's been nearly a life time of a dream for me... and it finally happened, although I wish I had time to chat with ya a bit longer...

you were unfortunately very tired... as I could tell immediately... I was the second last person in line to meet you... and you were a little weirded out too unfortunately when I was chating with ya about my old nickname on T2J... which was Plum Loco for a good 8 years... but I gave that nickname up because I hadn't used that nickname in PC gaming for a fairly long time... I was also on the 1st Talk2Joe CD but unfortunately, in my case, a mad rush to enter the songs was a major issue and had I have known that it would take like more than a year I would have worked harder on a tune more worthy for the CD... I did my best, but the production side of it took a nose dive for my part and the overall production of the CD itself... major disappointment for a musician who really doesn't have the skills as a producer. on a more professional level where there were actual producers around they would have dictated the overall sound on how a song would go together, mixxing and mastering which unfortunately I'm still trying to learn after 10 years...

aw well... what do you do... Adobe Audition, or Cool Edit Pro and SONY Soundforge will only get you so far to be perfectly honest...

anyways it's been a long day...

take care...

Bear!

hey guys...........

talked with Steven on sunday and he had a lot of kind words for everyone at t2j..a lot of yu guys have been praying and wishing him well and i made that known to him,,,,,,,..he appreciates all yur best wishes and prayers and says thank yu to each and every one of you......he is going through a tough period at the moment and wishes to tackle it as soon as possible...moreover he is suffering from chronic cough and is not doing too well...his every sentence was punctuated by a cough and it was very difficult to follow every word that he was saying...will be calling him again tomorrow and so if anyone wants to say anything, feel free and let me know and i shall pass it on to him......

ovation....mike,had along talk with steven.........btw i have mailed yu a few secs a go and everything is written more clearly there........hope yu have a nice day...cheers and yes,the italian league(Serie-A) is in shambles.....more later... and yes bro,,,,,,,the yank who was leading for two days is FLOYD LANDIS of Team Phonak......he was a team mate of lance armstrong for about 6 years and was a faithful who guided armstrong through the alps and the pyreness during the tough climbs when lance needed his full compliment of team mates by his side....the Tour De France is not only about riding a bicycle for more than 3000 kms....it is a lot more than just that.......i am loving the tour this year as only 4 days left before the march to paris and no clear favourite yet.........Today is the first day on the alps and we will clearly see the favs come thru today and for the next three(3) days they will be climbing the alps....the toughest phase of the tour.....watch out for the big guns to fire......ferreiro will crack today......and landis will be back at the top come the end of the day today....watch it bro,yu will love it.

SUZIE No problems with the link here. Nice tune. Cool. Like a night on the beach with a full moon......Just got done watching "Bulletproof Monk." I've never seen it before. Kind of far out but some Wing Chun in there.

CUTH I totally agree with you. Wish I had more to say on the subject but the bill is on hold for now.

SLANSH Must respect bro. You have a way with words, and so does Zappa. Speaking of Zappa, do you know the title of the song, I think its on one of his OLD albums Sofa Number 2? He has Johnny Guitar Watson singin in an awesome jam at the end of it. Could it be San Berdino? No doubt FZ or Watson visited this place because it describes it perfectly. San Bernadino is like a smog pit in southern cal. I used to live near there so I dont want to offend anybody out there. If ya know let me know bro. Have a good one.

WATERPROOF SOAP Hows it going? I didnt know you were at Pearl Harbor that long? I worked in Aiea and Pearlridge for about 4-5 years. Go to Pearl every so often. No. Bully Hayes be gone man. Alot has changed on that side of the island, as a matter of fact the whole island has changed. Big business has moved in and all the mom and pop stores are gradually leaving. Its kind of a shame, but thats life. Good to hear your standing your ground with the band. Whats the saying? Ordeals lead to new deals.

The band I'm in breaks up at the end of summer when two of the four of us return to teaching, thats why I'm looking for another band. In answer to your question I'm doing OK. Still with the dizziness, which I believe is adrenaline overload. In some ways its great because it doesnt bother me when I'm focused and I can play bass better, work out better, but afterwards the adrenaline wont downshift. Knowing the body and chemistry fairly well, you cant just shut it down, no matter what you take. It takes time of inactivity and rest which is the pits. I know partially its a thyroid T4 underload. Secondly, hormones are very powerful animals and precursors to neurotransmitters, but I dont want to go the route of norepinephrine, dopamine, SSRI's, etc so I am using amino acids instead as they act as reuptake inhibitors as well. But it still takes time and I have time to chill.

So getting into a metal band is most likely a bad choice. The manager called me this morning, Roy, and the guy is desperate. Found out hes the lead guitarist's dad. Is that cool or what. Full support from the family. We talked a long time and he is a GREAT guy. Turns out we are the same age! So, Im going to look hard for a bassist for the group on this side of the island, as he is way over in Ewa Beach. Made a good friend and contact anyway.

WS Im talking your ear off buddy. See the adrenaline is still active. Thanks for the concern, but all I need to do is stop training for awhile. Hang tuff with the band. Be cooooooool bro............Laters G..............

Cuthbert1776 - Zidane...lol....very true though with any situation...it does depend where your sitting as to your viewpoint!...also with the global warming thing...there will always be a good/bad for/against in any situation you care to mention.

Suzie2000 - I wonder if you will feel like I did when I left work...I was fine all day until I actually went to leave.....then tears!...well have a good holiday. Do you have to prepare loads of stuff in the holidays though...or do you get away with it this time coz you are starting anew?

Shell - Oh did the security guy actually hurry you....he didn't say anything to me...but just looking at him made me scared enough to hurry anyway......Was he with joe or the apollo?

slanshroom - see yis end of August, work mode on!....what does that mean...end of august....do you work away then...boo hoo we will miss you!!!!

MariMari - Good to see your post always makes me smile as soon as I see your name....although what I read didn't....I finally get the circumstances wheree I can go see G3 and now you say Steve Vai is not gonna be in it! WHAT! Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Are you sure.....please say your not!

waterproof soap - hmm front men.....see coz they are the front man they have large egos and think they are right about everything......so what yer gonna do?

LuycySorets - I think I missed something....what are the congratulations for?

Barrie Poole - are you talking about finally made it home or something else.....whatever...you did a great job so don't pull yourself down!!

Alexandre - Awww now your just making me blush! Oh...still waiting for the video....when can I see it
