hey all... hope all is well with everyone and you are all healthy and happy... been a long time since i have been here... obviously school is out and so now i am working a lot... i was able to go on a great vacation and visit portugal and alexandre as well as a friend in england who had recently become a mum :) great trip!
i have been watching all the cup games and have vowed that one day i will make it see a cup game in person!!!! so upset that portugal is out now, but i must admit that france played a much better game today... luck to the italians :) i was saddened to see the response to ronaldo by so many...i can understand having differing opinions on which style a game is to be played but to blame him for the actions of rooney is crazy to me... yes he might be a bit arrogant and try his best to get under others skin, but it is up to the individual to decide how they will react to it... rooney let it bother him and rooney alone was responsible for his actions... he is the one that chose to act upon his frustration... how can others not see this? anyway great matches this year...
not too much else going on here... just wanted to pop in say hello... i still read posts when i can, and wish all in satchland a good evening :)

JUJU- Ronaldo didn't have to get involved / speak to the ref / wink at his bench after Rooney got sent off/ mouth "shhh"- in other words his plan worked though??? Remember Rooney is his team-mate and he knew how to wind him. Rooney should not have been so stupid though, that much is true. The rest is left to opinion, which we are all entitled to:)

MICHELLE: - I am glad you liked the video. I still haven't got over the solo joe did at the end of always with me, always with you when i went to see him. You know satriella talks about Joe Blues, lol i think i understand what she means. I am waiting for the new Dvd to come out in October and i hope that song is in there.
In the meantime check out this other video Vernon posted on here. click here . When i went to Meet Joe, there was a talk of Joe being really impressed with some acoustic playes he has seen back in California. I think this guy might be it.
BLUE_MOON :- If you are looking for a wah pedal you have to get a Dunlop cry baby, dont go for a Morley or any other brand. I know Joe uses a 535Q in the studio but when i went to see him i notices Crybaby Classic on his pedal board ( its model GCB95F ). In the concert Joe was able to use it to the best of effect. Lol infact i got a picture of Joe using it
The other reason i would really recommend Crybaby classic is because there is a lot of fuss going on about an inducer in the DunLop pedals called "fasel". Basically everybody is really impressed with the quality of wah they get out of a pedal with "fasel" in it. Now Dunlop got some signature pedals, the zakk wylde signature pedal, the kirk hammet signature pedal, the dimebag wah etc . All expensive pedals but essentially they are based on the pedal GCB95F and they all have that "fasel" inducer.
You can read the reviews on harmony central here about this model.click here
Lol the reason i know all this is because i another wah pedal today and i did a bit of research on it. I went to my local guitar shop with my friend who is also my guitar teacher( lol for now) and we tested most of the pedals on offer. This model was the one which was reasonably priced and was impressive in its tonal capability. Hope it helps.
Vernon :- I was really impressed with the video link u posted here. That guy is amazing on the acoustic guitar.
TO ALL FOOTBALL FANS :- Is it just me or is Bartez ( the french goal keeper) really crap?? My money is on italy to win.
P.S :- I checked out the podcasts and i love it. Joe, ZZ and co keep us updated. Enjoy the europian tour. I might come join you guys at barcelona in a couple of weeks. fingers crossed.

Dear Joe,
thank you for putting on a wonderful gig at this little place in Austria called 'Piberstein'. Some of the local openers were pure pain (well they have been for years and years....), the rain came down several times and - most of all - there was very little attendance. But only because the gig was nearly 'unknown', even in Piberstein itself it was announced some 1 week before or so. Guess the organizers of the 'hot summer night' have to learn MUCH more about festivals. Hmm, at least the sound and the stage were great.
Anyway, please don't get a wrong picture of Austria (well, you already played Vienna with the G3 last year), there are much more people who would love to see you - come back any time, it was an absolutely amazing concert and quite a 'familiar' atmosphere!
Rock on,
Martin
P.S. I love Dave LaRue, but where was Stu??? :-)

ALOHA ONE AND ALL!
SLANSHROOM I've never had the opportunity to see ALI-G man. Again, some great stuff! Me wife and I had a good laugh. Thanks bro.
WATERPROOF SOAP Hey bruddah you and I have alot more in common than I thought after reviewing the posts. Again, I slept all day after the gig last night. Didnt finish until about 5am after tear down and all. Man, I cant tell you half of what happened on the 4th. Music wise, it was great. My lawn will now take 1 year to get back to normal after all the people stomping on it. We got stuck on Machine Gun when two other guitarists plugged in and it ran about a half hour. Other than that all went nicely until the cops came at 2am to make sure we terminated, which we did. Great time bro. The SITs held up nicely as well. For the most part I play an Am Fender Jazz and shift to my Tobias Growler for the mellow cuts. Thinking of a Bossa when I get in the mood. I'll have to check out the others via catalog as we dont get squat in Hawaii. It has to be special ordered and thats a drag.
WS, SLANSH,CHEESE 101, CUTHBERT, AND ZENFISH Not that my opinion matters, but all of your points are well taken and certainly have merit on this site. I can, and have been a real butthead on this site in the past when somebody attacked my viewpoint. I am not going to do that again. I I.D. most with WS and his point of view and all that share this viewpoint concerning Independance Day, God, the Constitution, and the American way. Cuthbert and others are certainly historians in explaining the origins of our way of life. Which has certainly changed over time. Those who know the Bible know "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." The key word is ALL. Granted, we have all done terrible things as individuals and groups of people, some in the name of God. None of us has walked on water, and none of us be sinless. The US has drifted from it's origins and paid the price, but we are still Alive, and that is what we are celebrating at this point. Even though we have fallen in the past, present, and future, we are FREE and ALIVE and God loves us! Thank Him for his Grace because we all screw up, but He forgives us. All of you Christians out there, God Bless You! All of you non-Christians, even if you dont believe in God, God Bless You too! I hope all had a great day yesterday and today! Satriella worked yesterday and I hope the new job was great!
Joe, I think our band CrossFire did your songs justice. We sure practiced the hell out of em! Keep on keepin on and as Mel Gibson cried in Braveheart, FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!!! Aloha to All.......................................

Joe Satriani: Hi Joe! Hi Joe! How are you? I gotta tell you, your songs are instant classics. I never get tired of listening to them. My all time fave is still the Live in San Francisco CD/DVD. There's something special I find in live interpretations of the same song found in albums. By the way, I love all the videos/podcasts posted on this site. It's great to see everyone having fun! Take care, and have fun!
T2J-ers: Hello people! It's been a while since I last came to visit this site and post. It's summer and what else to do than to listen to Joe and fix up my guitar for some playing! Hope everyone is doing well. I still see a lot of familiar names here. Of course, a lot of new members too. Oh boy, it's exciting to be back on this forum. Dunno what to say... luv u all~

alexandre - Hey man. How are you? I agree that the British press has been/is being very harsh towards Cristiano Ronaldo (that's the very nature of the British press!), but you just have to watch the games to realise that Portugal play a dirty game of football. They did the same against Holland, and that match was a disgrace to the World Cup because of it. I'm confident that it's by no means a representation of the Portuguese people though.
On the Scolari issue, I don't think he was ever going to be captain anyway. The way I saw it is that McLaren had all but been offered the job, but there were a lot of "negotiations" with otehr managers - such as Scolari and Allardyce - to make the whole thing look a little more open and a little less corrupt. To be honest though, I'm glad to see the back of Eriksson; he's been a terrible manager...
Delfino - Are you kidding? With those two teams, the final's gonna be the best game this World Cup has seen!!!
